How do they fall asleep?: Cotton often finds himself falling asleep to a soft lullaby playing while the scent of lavender wafts around his room, he finds comfort in the tune as he’s known it since he was a little lambaby because his mother used to softly sing it until he fell asleep, and the smell of lavender just soothes him when he’s feeling restless.

They roll over again, and kick one leg out. “Ugh, but now that hoof is cold!” They flip on their back with all four of their hooves in the air. “Hmm much better!” Falling asleep is like a gymnastics routine...just keep flipping till it feels right!

playing games, laughing, shushing
"shhh, everyone's asleep" he giggles
friends, he thinks. just friends.
his heart longs for more than that.
a scene in his mind,
one day maybe they will meet.
he wonders what his lips might feel like.
the sun is rising steadily
the clock reads a time he can barely see
through his bleary eyes.
he whispers one last good night,
and as he hangs up
after spending time with the boy he loves
and knowing he will have a lovely dream
he speaks into the dim room to no one,
"i love you".
and he shuts his eyes.

maybe one day he'll be brave enough

How do they fall asleep?: A soft sheep would think nothing less of keeping everyone happy and safe on her way to sleep, The many times she has taken care of lambabies has wore her down quite quickly.. The many happy voices of other lambis as she helped them fix something that broke or made blankets for them in the winter gave her a feeling of warmth as she sleeps for one of the many times in her lifetime that she will..

Or of the many lambabies that look up to her sweet and kind morals to help other lambis in need.. to them shes a mother, to her shes just doing what she does best, and to the lambis she helps she is their guardian. She always has the feel to need to help even though her body refuses to do so in need of rest.. Sometimes she even wakes up in the middle of the night to help someone before falling right back asleep on the spot..

Dawn is just the lambi you need to call when help is needed, That soft and wooly Sweetheart, She often ends her day, just thinking of what is the many things she is helping with tomorrow.

More accurately... well, trying to lie still or think about things almost always winds up giving Cyrus something new to worry about or fret over, and then he’s just exhausted /and/ anxious. What’s helped him best is activity, really. He has little sleeping spots set up over his property, so he can go for a bit of a run, let his brain turn off, and he’ll curl up in the nearest spot once he’s properly tired. Barring that, though... well, sometimes you just can’t make yourself sleep, and he’s long since accepted that; Cyrus instead uses that time for work- usually knitting or crochet, simple pieces that don’t require /too/ much focus... and are forgiving for when you do eventually conk right out!

“everly is an unfortunate insomniac. the nightly cycle of trying to fall asleep after a long, uneventful day is just so frustrating. they have to take many naps during the day, as they are always finding themselves dozing off while doing the most mundane activities, but at the end of the day, they are left with restless hooves. through a long week of trial and error, everly discovered just how sleepy tea could make them. one cup of chamomile tea (their new favorite) is enough to have them dozing off in their kitchen. since stumbling upon the seemingly magic liquid that is essentially the only thing that can help them sleep, everly has started a hoard of all flavors of tea. their cabinets are filled with as many boxes of flavored tea as they can muster—lavender, chai, hibiscus, oolong—any flavors that they haven’t tried are shoved in tightly next to the other boxes of tea. somehow, the feeling in their chest after a hot cup of tea is all they need to be able to fall asleep.”

Lorelai tried to fall asleep after a hard day of work. But nothing happened. She kept tossing and turning until she gave up. “How will I fall asleep now?” She asked herself. Just at that moment she heard some small but loud in her mind, raindrops. It was an amazing sensation. Just hearing the pitter-patter always helped her normal sleep schedule.
