Louis and Stunner were both a little nervous as they waited in front of the outdoor Arena. Louis because this wasn't a normal dressage competition for him and Stunner because of solidarity. Actually none of them had to be nervous at all. They knew their routine very well and even if one would forget what he had to do next, the other one could help him out.
But in his thoughts Louis was already at the Olympics. He dreamed of taking part at them for years and with Stunner he finally found a Horse he had good chances to reach that dream! But there was one little thing standing between him and the Olympics...Due to an injury of Stunner's left front leg a few months ago, they missed some competitions and weren't able to gain enough points yet to get approved for the qualifiers. This was their last chance to turn the tide in their favor. Everything depended on the next few minutes.
As Louis and Stunner's music began to play, they both exhaled simultaneously, before entering the Arena. And after Louis greeted the judges suddenly all nervosity was gone and he and Stunner performed as good as always. Time will show if it's enough to let them go to the Olympics.
