Jupiter, in the two years she’s been alive, had already been given up on– and quite frankly she wasn’t even sure why. She thought she was a good dog, she was a hard worker and she was driven just like the other dogs. It just didn’t make sense to her why her previous owners would give her up so easily, she loved them with every fiber of her being and she thought they had to– but apparently she was wrong. Now she sits in silence in a kennel, awaiting for another person to pick her for whatever reason. A piece of her hoped that the person who passed her kennel next was gonna be her previous owners, after all they were the only people she really knew.
Of course, there was that wave of excitement as she entered her new home at SDK, but as she was introduced to her new family– it hit her... what if she wasn’t good enough for them? The thought made her heart drop. But with time, she grew to realize that the SDK team and people absolutely adore her for her, not her work or how hard she worked– just her. And that was the most amazing feeling she’s felt in the two years of her life.

How do they feel about being adopted again?

Bumble excitedly wags her tail, making sure to straighten her posture. She gives a quick lick of her fur, making sure that it was well groomed. She was trying to make herself look as presentable as possible.

She hoped that this time it would be the one. She didn't like having to jump between homes, but she tried to remain hopeful.

She took a quick peak from where she could hear the door open.

She saw the humans approaching her and decides that she should patiently wait her turn. Wandering up to her, the human puts their hand against the cage. bumble hesitated at first, but slowly walked up to it, trying not to scare them. She gives the hand a gentle lick, trying to show that she was friendly.

Perhaps she was trying too hard, but she had to in order to find a loving home. She had such high hopes that she would find the perfect owner.

"This is the one." The person on the other side of the cage announces, smiling heartily.

Bumble hastily licks their hand now, barely being able to contain her excitement.

She knew exactly what that meant for her.

How do they feel about being adopted again?

From the eyes of a dog everything is so much different. Time isn't a focus on there part, that's why it doesn't matter if you've been gone for five minutes, or five years. If you're gone they can't find you, and that's scary. This feeling carries to being abandoned, and re-adopted. Bara would be still searching for her old owner even years after they've gone. A new human doesn't change this, but it does change things. It will take some time for Bara to adjust, and she won't go with this new human easily. It's not that the human isn't trustworthy. We will follow them home, and we trust them, but they are not a replacement.

Bara will leave, and search for her human, and even cause fights with the other dogs. Though the new human is slowly growing on her, and the other dogs seem to have forgiven her. Many of them have regarded her as special, and listen to her every word, but mostly, we still miss our old human. We feel we can accept this new human, give them a name, and maybe they will listen to us, as long as they promise not to leave us.

Mika has always had faith she will be loved by someone, some day. She doesn't care how long it takes, or how many homes and people she has to be thrown between, she has sworn to herself that she will not lose hope. She reminds herself everyday that she is, and will be, good enough for the right person.
