Euphorian Thoroughbred #788

Postby GECK0e » Sun Sep 13, 2020 4:16 am

Welcome to the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project
Euphorian Thoroughbreds are a rare string of the Thoroughbred breed. They come from a single farm simply called “Euphoria” that has horses with mutated genes. These allow them to be able to possess any realistic coat or markings. Everything else about the sub-type is the same. Long, strong legs, a powerful hind, and great speed. Their eyes are soft and the breed is incredibly smart, if not a bit goofy. They love kids and have the rare ability to excel in any discipline. They can grow from 15hh-18hh, though usually somewhere in the middle.
The horses readopted through the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project are looking for a new loving home and a new job. They’ve tried racing and have either retired or decided the sport wasn’t for them. Either way, they are ready for the next chapter in their life. Some of these horses will come with a little training already, and will have their new discipline already determined. Although others you’ll get to pick how they move forwards!

Show Name: Welcome To The CandyShop
Barn Name: Sweety
Gender: Mare
Age:7 years 4 months
Height:17.1hh
Halter: rainbow (vertical striped pattern) with light pink hardware and white nose-piece
Discipline:Show Jumper, school training horse
Competition:You felt a little overwhelmed at first but you calm down and look around....

despite the overwhelming attack on the senses from all the colours and candies galore and the incredibly sweet scent of all the sweets mingling together, they were drawn to a long row of sweetie jars that sat center of attention in the shop, and was filled with all kinds of different colours and types of delicious hard sweets, from bon-bons to jawbreakers and skittles. it was far too tempting to pass up so they took a closer look at all the jars, already feeling their mouth watering, and grabbed a pic n mix bag off the side shelf and chose from half a dozen jars of different candies, the majority of their choices being the peppermints, bubblegums and jelly tots.
satisfied with their heavy and almost overflowing bag of sweets they wandered among the other isles towards the counter, stopping to almost consider purchasing some of the giant shoe laces and pencils but decided against it and instead arrived at the til, which was bordered by giant rainbow lollipops, all of which looked absolutely amazing, but they would have broken their tooth even attempting to eat one of those, so instead they handed their bag over to the cashier and paid for their bountiful chosen candies.
they didn't even reach the door before they started picking through it and sampling some of the sweets, filling their mouth as they left and headed home with a satisfied grin, and watched all the envious kids looking up at them as they passed by wolfing down their delicious goodies.
aint no way they going to share!---

The smell of sugar filled the air. It was almost too much. Breathing in, I continue through the aisles. There are so many types of candy here. Salt water taffies, bubble gum, sour gummy worms, and even candies from around the world, like Hi-Chew and those sweet little lychee candies. As I'm walking around, I notice a door at the back. It's got a little Christmas ornament on it. Out of curiosity, I go a touch the door. The sweet smell of cinnamon and nutmeg comes from the door. As if in a trance. I open the door.
Inside the door is a winter wonderland. Snow, Gingerbread houses, and candy canes galore!
I step inside and let the door close behind me. It's so nice in here, the joy, the warmth and the mint all at once. I take in a few deep breaths to savor this smell, and continue on. In the center of the large room, there is a mint chocolate fountain. Next to it are marshmallows and strawberries on a stick.
Then, something catches my eye. I rush to the back, eager to see what it is. There is a gold chest on the ground. I pick it up, and shake it a little. I hear a little bit of rattling. I place the chest back down and press a couple buttons on the side to open it. As if it was sent from the heavens, a golden ray of light came from inside the box. I squinted my eyes to behold what majesties lied inside, to see a golden chalice filled with cordial cherries. My eyes widened and I gave a large smile. I pick up the chalice and pop a cherry in my mouth. The sweet cherry and the rich dark chocolate is like music to my taste buds. The flavor is immaculate. Something that only comes once in a lifetime.

The first thing that hit me was the smell. There was the sickly smell of too-sweet chocolate, the overpowering fruity scent of hard-boiled sweets, and the soft smell of sugary marshmallows. It was a lot, after coming from the cold, crisp air of the outside, but it wasn't unpleasant.
I wasn't sure where to look first, so I stepped in to the left of the door. Multicoloured cans looked back at me, sodas of flavours that I could never have imagined lining the shelves. They were interesting, sure, but now what I was looking for. Next to them were the soft candies - gummies and jellies filling the place from floor to ceiling, all sorts of flavours and shapes - some hilarious, some unusual, and others just downright strange.
But again, not what I wanted.
The next shelf was covered in chocolates, each with a sentimental message, some as simple as wishing someone a happy birthday, others as complex as a once in a lifetime scenario - "Thanks for minding my three cats while I was on my second honeymoon in Cabo!" or "Congrats to a fantastic step-uncle on his third child!". Some made me chuckle, but again, not going to hit the spot.
Other things came close - bags of bonbons or cut fudge, but nothing was perfect. Something was always just... missing.

      "Can I help you?"
The shop assistant, I assume, having watched me moving around the store slowly, called out, a smile decorating their face. As I started to walk towards the counter, my answer became as clear as day. Jars lined the shelves, each filled with a different kind of candy. Bonbons of multiple flavours, boiled sweets of all kinds of bright colours and unusual flavours - rhubarb and custard flavoured sweets?! - and many kinds of gummies and chocolates and fudges and jawbreakers.
The assistant must have seen my awe, and they chuckled. "It's one euro per 100g." They explained, gesturing to the shelves. "Pick and mix, whatever you'd like."
It didn't take long for me to hone in on my favourites. Lemon and strawberry bonbons, vanilla fudge squares, disco balls, cola bottles, a handful of Hershey's kisses and assorted jellies soon sat in a bag, and, even greater for me, my wallet wasn't much lighter for the pleasure. Thanking the assistant, who had been a fantastic help in the difficult decision of what to choose, I left the shop, returning to my car, my sweet treats nestled in my bag, ready to improve what had been a terrible day.

The choice between candy and plushie was a difficult one to make, honestly tempted to shut my eyes and just point at something but that would leave the possibility of landing on something like I disliked. So I simply shot that idea down and resigned myself to allowing my gaze to roam the shelves, there was so much choice on what I could possibly pick. The smell of sugar hung heavily on the air, leading me to assume that at least some if not all sweets were made somewhere directly on the premises. In the end, my gaze was drawn to a shelf holding several contains containing different flavours of fudge, grabbing one of the paper bags I made sure to examine each label carefully. Thankfully there was nothing I hated in them, only flavours I'd always adored. Ranging from plain vanilla to slightly more unusual ones like candy cane and unicorn.

Carefully scooping up the tongs, I opened each container one at a time and brought out several pieces of each flavour, feeling particularly excited about the one said to contain pieces of terry's chocolate orange. That flavour got more pieces grabbed than the others though I did go back to grab a few more pieces of the chocolate peanut butter combo. My paper bag was surprisingly almost full, though it only half came as a surprise as the fudge wasn't exactly in dainty perfect little cubes. With a happy hum I made my way over to the counter, happily accepting the price the cashier rang up when she weighed the bag.

With my fudgey haul paid for and everything necessary to take home tucked safely away I left the store with a cheery smile, bag held firmly in one hand.
