Prompt: Ryder crept through the thicket, tip toeing as he went to remain silent. He paused with bated breath as his back hoof snapped a twig, his body humming with adrenaline and nervous energy. After ensuring no one had heard his misstep, Ryder returned to his sneaky escapade.

Minutes passed that felt like hours to little Ryder as he wormed his way through the thick forest roots, branches, and hanging vines. Each movement felt like a trap that would take him under, but he had pursued and finally made it to his destination. An adorable smile lit up his tiny face as he pranced forward, his wings tucked neatly to his side.

"Hey there, Squirt."

Ryder squeaked and whipped around at the voice before relaxing at seeing who the voice belonged to. "Naaalaaaaaaa. You shouldn't sneak up on me. We talked about thiiiiiis," he whined. Gently dropping his skateboard to the ground next to him.

Nala only smiled, completely unrepentant of her 'egregious' crime. "You know I'm only messin, Squirt." She trotted up alongside him as Ryder mounted the board, both of them moving at a leisurely pace towards the halfpipe Nala had set up just hours before Ryder's arrival.

Ryder rolled his eyes with a playful huff, "I told you not to call me that," he complained. "It's embarrassing."

"About as embarrassing as sneaking all the way out into the woods just so you don't have to tell your friends that you ride a skateboard? You mean that level of embarrassing?" Nala's tone was both mocking and teasing as she took her seat at the side of the half pipe, really only here to supervise and critique.

You might be wondering why Nala? Clearly Ryder and Nala have an odd relationship, so why did he tell her of all people? Well, it's pretty simple, really. She won't tell. Ryder is convinced that people would make fun of him for enjoying something so..mundane while he had wings. I mean, really, he can fly?? Why does he need to ride on wheels? So he has completely convinced himself that everyone will laugh. So he keeps it his and Nala's little secret. But secrets never last. Someone always finds out eventually. . .

(I was gonna add more to this, but that would run really long and I'm out of time. The gist was that a friend found out and thought it was odd, but encouraged him to let his passions show and not be afraid to let people see him do something he enjoys.)

Prompt: i looked up at the sky as i opened my two pairs of wings. As soon a a gust of wind came by i lifted myself into the air. I looked up at the clouds and down at the world. finally I flew to where i was going and tipped my wings down letting the air lead me. Green weeds covered the ground and the flowers wilted and brown. “Hello” I called out. With no answer I ripped the weeds out and dug some holes in the dirt. My hoofs felt weird with the dirt clinging to them, so I ran to the lake and washed them off. I dashed back seeds in my mouth and I slowly dropped them in the holes. I hooked the bucket of water on my horn and slowly dumped it on the plants. A bush moved in the wind and terrified me. I quick as I could lifted into the air and glued home.

Skye found herself humming a rather happy tune, even as paint starting flying around her. Left, right, backwards... nearly everything around her was getting coated in a splattering of various hues. Everything has to be just right, just perfect...AHA! Skye took a step back from her work, nodding a bit before splashing a bit more purple here, a touch more blue there. Finally, finally she had the perfect...

"Painting pet rocks up for everyone again I see?" Came the all too familiar voice of her sister. Skye winked, her wing grandly gesturing over the small menagerie of rocks painted with animal faces, smiley faces, spots, stripes, and even rave patterns.

"Think everyone will like them?" Skye asks, almost a touch nervous.

"They will LOVE them. Now lets get these delivered yes?"

"Right!"

Tonight, a brand new pack of pet rocks would find loving homes!

Life is tough.

Stressful.

Chaser never quite had a home, but that didn't mean he didn't have a family.

And that family was the clouds.

From his first memories, he flew. Clumsily at first, tumbling into birds, falling into trees, getting nicks and scrapes... But that was okay. He was young. He would get better.

From flying low, to flying high, Chaser wanted to go even higher.

The clouds were so distant, so far, it seemed though he would never reach them.

But he heard the soft encouragement of the wind, and so he began to train.

Getting used to breathing in high altitudes, making sure he didn't lose energy as he flew upwards, pacing himself.

But the clouds stayed too high. Too far. Too distant.

Chaser was weak, exhausted from trying.

And so, for once, he lay on a soft patch off grass under the clear blue sky.

And as his eyes gazed upwards, he searched for something greater in the soft white fluff.

And it was there he found his true passion.

Simply watching the beauty of the sky.
