I've had my eye on this palette for a while so I finally got around to using it haha. Originally was going to be cat based but it,, turned into not a cat.

when the rock avalanches started, i was forced to run towards the snowfields, a frozen wasteland too cold to call home. as i moved deeper into the tundra, i became disoriented...i survived on some scraps here and there, but i wasn't the only creature looking for a meal. i tried to move at night, but i got too impatient one day, and it almost cost me. i was distracted when i saw it - or rather, when it saw me: a bear-like creature who gave a deep roar and stood on its hind legs, towering over me. the adrenaline kicked in and i bolted, trying not to panic. in mere milliseconds it caught up and picked me up in its mouth like it was carrying its cub. somehow, the beast set me down, whimpering in pain as something bit its tail. it was another caninite! they dodged the beast's claws and winked before telling me to run.
i wish i had gotten the chance to thank this complete stranger. i think that's what love is: risking everything because you care about someone so much, you would do anything for them. and if that's true, well, then sign me up.

i promise this was a much better story when it was over four hundred words hhhh but i had to cut it down a LOT and i actually just realized i interpreted the prompt as "what is love" instead of "what's their opinion on it" so uhhh. big oof

Lewis feels that love is... Both an incredibly beautiful thing and a lifelong struggle. They believe you should always, always try to love and be loved in return, but sometimes you just get scorched by love's flames. Love is a powerful, compelling heat inside your heart, one that can blaze endlessly or die out in an ash-filled sorrowful haze. Love can hurt, love can heal, love can change you or keep you the same, love can be the beginning or the end. All you can do is ride it out, stay on the horse for as long as possible, clutch desperately onto the reins and pray to your God that you come out alive. You will be taken through eye-catching forests, through icy tundras, through breathtaking valleys between the mountains, you will be taken through the ground zero of a volcanic burst, you will be taken across a canyon with a bridge about to break because its on it's last thread of stability. Lewis believes you can't help but love in the ways you can, but that sometimes it would be easier if you didn't have to. Love is a force to be reckoned with and you can't escape it.

Love doesn't have to be in the form of a relationship with a partner, it can be family love, or friend love. Love is universal, love is unique.

But what is love really? It's depicted as sweet, pure, special, but in reality it's reckless, terrifying, destructive, and... special. Love can destroy you, but it can make you feel more than you ever have before. Love makes you think, it makes you worry, but it also makes you happy.

True love makes you smile, it makes your heart long for them, it makes you weak. It's love in its purest form.

Love can be a lie, it's not easy to fake, but some emotions and feelings make a mockery of it. It can lead you to disaster, be weary.
