Prompt: Dawnstripe learned to never underestimate another creature no matter how big or small.
Weasels and Otters are not a common sight in near the camp of Owlclan so when Dawnstripe spotted a small bundle of fur outside, she had first assumed that a kit had escaped. But as she got closer, she noticed how long the torso was and tilted her head, frowning at it. Well, that's not a kit. It was small though, so when she tried to shoo it out of the territory, she was definitely not expecting it to bite back.
Lilacmoon gave her a confused look when Dawnstripe came hobbling back to camp covered in scratches, ushering her into the medicine den.
"Shouldn't have faced it alone," The Seer scolded, earning a pained hiss when she pressed goldenrod into the wounds and covered them in cobwebs. "Those Weasels are not afraid of cats like us."
"Well, I get that now." She sighed, putting up with the scolding she knew she probably deserved.

Prompt: For her, the most important lesson that she has learned is how to protect her clan. It is full of her friends and family, so protecting them is her number one priority. Of course, this was learned as she grew, but she began as a kit practicing attacking bugs with help from the elders coaching her. The protection of her clan is the most important thing to her, so all the lessons that have to lead her to be able to do that are the most important to her.

Rain was flecked down from the sky, it was so dark, so cold. Everything felt numb to her. Memories felt too painful, it hurt to even think about it. The fury. The anger. It was all so vividly scorching down her back. She had never meant to hurt anyone. It was just a mistake. A real bad one. The crimson that pooled from the figure’s head would forever haunt her. Those thoughts are just reminders of her crimes. Emotions were looked-down upon, despised by many. How could she? Voids of disappointment had stared into her depths of her soul, she had lost control.

Who was she now?

An exile? An outcast? A rogue? A heartless murderer?

Desolace choked her hard, everything felt so barren. So.. lifeless. It was as if all the fight left in her was drained from the depths of her heart. All of her if-onlies layered themselves against her, mocking her for everything she had ever done. The hard steps of twoleg structures prodded at her toes, a trace of blood lacing every step she took. Blonde fur soaked and ruffled, her paws carried her underneath the roof of a twoleg shelter. This would have to do. But, deep within the fire of her soul, she knew, she couldn’t stay here for long. Head lifted skywards, the stars shone above her head. Still sparkling with that same brilliance before she was banished.

Were her ancestors disappointed with her?

Probably.

Heartache bloomed like a rose in her chest as sorrow gripped her hard. There was nowhere to go. Yet, in the dead of night, she could still hear those ghostly whispers. Telling her it would be alright. It was a war between mind and soul. Was she imagining things?

Yes?

Heart screaming to be set free, the thirst for freedom pulled her to her toes. The rain that had once poured down upon the world had ceased and everything was silent. The horizon beckoned to her, begging her to look upon what lay beyond the wasteland of twolegs. Then, there it was, a gateway to a new start. In it’s full majesty, it appeared like a speck in the distance, too far away to reach. It all came to her, a revelation from the heavenlies.

This was a lesson.

A lesson that had waited to be unravelled all her life.

A whisper blossomed into reality, so soft, only the most determined could decipher it.

Even in the darkest hours, there is always hope..

Through the sweat, the blood, the tears, she would dance through the rain, conquer the storm. All because of one thing; hope.
