A beast of old, Daichi was said to have been born alongside the dinosaurs, only to bury itself into hibernation that they wouldn’t awake from until centuries upon centuries later. By the time the ancient beast woke up from it’s slumber, a civilization of stone had been built along it’s spine. Despite the lives that Daichi now has resting upon it’s back, they finally gained enough strength and motivation to haul itself to their feet, leaving a crater in the earth and shaking the lands under its feet.
In search of a partner, they began to walk the earth. Though as the years went on, the city began to struggle, asking and praying Daichi for help. The beast finally came to a stop, settling back down to sleep for a while, allowing the civilization to restore themselves. As the year continued, not only did they regain control over their population and illnesses, but their city of old grew larger. The city had managed to move animals worth farming onto the back of Daichi, they farmed animals that had become instinct on the lands of earth. Daichi housed creatures of old, becoming a safe haven for animals.
The years between Daichi’s slumbers became longer and longer as the city became more independent, only needing to stop every few years. Though as they wondered, they were unable to find a partner, but Daichi had found another purpose in their life; they held many lives in their palm, Daichi was the city’s day and night, the city’s land.
