Most see things simply. Neeko does not. Colors are more than a rainbow to her, and emotions are more complex than the mystery of existence itself. So when you ask Neeko why she likes Key, you will get far more than you asked for.

The pair originally bonded over the rainbows that adorn them both. Neeko would often say how colorful Key is inside and out, and how she could see far more than they could ever dream of. In her eyes, Key was breathtaking, the most colorful Kalon she had ever seen. According to Neeko, they are also the warmest, softest, and the best at hugging due to their extra legs. That's what she'd tell you, at least, because its the only way you'd understand. In truth, Neeko can't seem to find the words to explain why she has a crush on Key. She simply... does, and like Neeko herself, people just don't seem to understand.

They met their crush on a freezing cold day in December, at least that’s how their parents described it. Their family had just moved about a week prior, and it was already time to start at their new school. They were nervous, but believed everything would be alright.

Unfortunately for them, their worries were not unfounded. The day started out fine, but by the time recess rolled in, the school bullies had already declared them their new target. They were annoyed, sitting alone by a tree as they debated what to do, when suddenly they appeared. Radiating confidence, they could’ve sworn they were an angel, if angels wore oversized puffy coats and knee high cat socks.

They were already prepared to follow them anywhere, but even more so after they opened their mouth and exclaimed,” Don’t listen to those toads! They’re just a bunch of bullies; who cares about them anyway. Do you want to come build a snowman with me?”

Yes, yes they do. There was time for plotting later, likely with a newfound accomplice; but for now, they could have fun and build a snowman with their new friend.

“You’re right, let’s go! Name’s Alex, by the way.”

"is there anything you need help with?" she asks. the girl with hair like suns looks up from where she is, hanging upside down by her tail, a hand reaching out to grasp a plant.

"huh?" the girl asks.

"i'd love to help you!"

"oh." the girl swings down, abs flexing with the movement as her bare feet hit the floor. she brushes a stray strand of orange hair from her face. it's soft and cute in all the right places, with a button nose and soft smile playing at the edge of her lips, dark eyes looking right back into her gold. and, oh, god - she's so fit. jasmine's blush is uncontrollable. "could you help me with what i've already collected? i'm always dropping things..." her other hand is full of partially crushed herbs.

"of course!" she gathers the herbs from the girl, their hands brushing in the process. jasmine can feel the heat radiating from her face. she looks up at the other girl who is staring down at their hands. "i could make a bag for you?"

the girl blinks. "wow. i'm dumb."

"no, you aren't! i'm happy to do anything to help."

Her green eyes, her stunning green hair. Everything about the kit in front of her was perfect. She had perfect teal fur with hints of blue, stunning Wish into silence. How could someone be so amazing? Fluffy body and elegance in her stride. This was truly a special kit in front of her, and Wish wanted nothing more to be with her.

If you've ever had a crush, you'll know that feeling where your stomach is filled with butterflies, and your mouth feels heavy as if the words that would come out would be gibberish. That was how Wish felt right now. She was stuck in a stupor, watching the kit walk past, a spring in her step. Oh, how perfect this kit would be as they both cuddled. The warmth and affection that they would share. It was everything she could ever wanted.
