The words rang so clearly in their mind. Who are you? Who am I? The answer is not so one-dimensional.
They are comprised of melting pot of so many aspects to their life and just as many contradictions. Things ranging from childish to deeply philosophical. Most of which cannot be explained away.
They're afraid of the dark, but love the night. They are ancient, but deeply enjoy this new modern era. They can behave rashly and without thought- childishly if you will- but are wildly intelligent and sharp.
These things are merely but the surface. Deep down, they are turbulent and hurting. A whirlpool of emotions they do not know what to do with. So the bottle the up, releasing them like fizz from a shaken soda. Slowly letting them dissipate.
They are an alpha, a role they never asked for nor never wanted. Yet it is theirs to wield without question. They have so many, though, for the universe.
Answers only come in the form of twinkling stars dotting themselves against the harsh city skyline.
Without guidance, they have become an alpha for the misunderstood, for the discarded and unwanted. For the misfits of the city. There is no violence, no vindiction against society, but merely a place to call home and others to call a family.
But who they are? There is no answer that can be defined or even written. The complexities of character that are described as defining features are ones without definition or answer.

Who are they? -
Who is she? Such a seemingly simple question that can be vastly different depending on perspective. The answer in this case will come from three different individuals.

Tribe Mate
Okelani is my best friend. We grew up together as kits and I like to think that I know her better than anyone else. As a kit I remember her most striking characteristic being her sense of adventure. At the crack of dawn I remember her showing up at my cave ready to go on some new adventure. One time we scaled the highest mountaintop just to see the view from down below. She even crawled out onto this leaning tree on the mountainside to snag a feather from a bird nest for me so I could add it to my collection. As an adult she still has that adventurous side but she's a lot more grounded now that she has to take care of everyone else. She's an excellent alpha though and loves her pack dearly. Everyday she goes around and checks in with everyone to make sure they're doing ok. I've seen her help out with simple chores like farm work with the novices or helping to nurse the sick and wounded.

Okelani. Even saying that name brings a chill to my spine. She is by far one of the coldest most ruthless yet cunning alphas that I have ever met. I tried to invade her territory once and she somehow got wind of my plan. She let my tribe walk right into her camp without a single bit of struggle. The thing was that nobody was there it was empty. Little did I know the trap she was planning. She lured us into their camp which was at the time located in the center of an old ravine. When we were in place she broke the dam and flooded us all out. Needless to say I never picked a fight with her again.

Who am I? Well I like to think of myself as a pretty laid back primal. I kinda just go with the flow most of the time. I never really wanted to be an alpha but when the old alpha passed I was the only one around to take charge. I do my best to help my tribe but even then I feel like its not enough, they deserve better. As a kit I wanted to go off and see the world and maybe I will some day but for now here I am. Oh I guess I should mention that I love to play the drums in my spare time and sing...the singing part is a work in progress. Last week an elder threw a bone at me when I sang....
