Prompt: What Aine misses the most about her world is the magic that was prominent in everyday life and her friends and family. Magic was a huge part of life, as the land was full of magic. The random stones on the ground glowed in blues, purples, and a lot of other colors. This was very common! It never occurred to her that this was not normal for other worlds. The plants had spirits in them and sometimes they would talk to you. They would talk about the past, what they saw, anything they wanted. There always seemed to be a light hum in the air, like somecat was constantly playing music. The air was cleaner everywhere, probably because no humans were around to pollute it. She misses her family. They had such good times together, goofing around and just being themselves and having fun. She misses the days they spent together, the joy, the sadness, the normal days. All of it was important, helping to shape her into a better cat. She misses her friends, even the annoying ones. They had so much fun, going who knows where, doing who knows what. Even if they got on her nerves, got her to do things she was scared of, and forced her to go out, they were her friends and were like family to her. They all supported each other in difficult times, laughing, joking, and making everyone's day brighter.
Goodbyes were hard. She told her family her decision first, then her friends. Her family was very sad. They had thought she would not be one of the ones to leave and go into the new world, but there she was, telling them she was going to leave. When she told her friends, many felt angry and betrayed. They thought they were going to be with each other for longer than that. When she told them why, they respected her decision and supported her, even if there was still a little bit of complaining after. As the day to leave neared, she started to realize little things were happening. The music, which was typically like a background noise, was quieter at times and louder at others. The trees started to speak to her less and less, but when they did, the conversations lasted for a while. She had one that lasted all morning! That was when she realized what she was giving up. She was giving up the magic of this land for a land with next to no magic. She was giving up her friends, family, and everything she had ever known. She was giving up the glowing rocks, the spirits of the trees, the fun and laughter from her first friends and family, and the beauty of the land she had grown up in and known. She was trading it for a different place that she hardly knew. She would miss everything about her homeland, mostly the magic and her friends and family, and she would treasure those memories.
