PROMPT 4
Username: angel furby
Clan: orchidclan
Word count: 849 words
Prompt:

Cherrystar huddled together with the other cats, wind howling outside the barn. The snow was flooding in through the holes in the side of the barn, harsh winds buffetting their fur.

“Cherrystar,” Canarypaw yowled, her meows barely heard above the sound of the wind, “we have to patch up the side of the barn! Too much snow is getting in, it’s gonna destroy the prey!”
The apprentice was speaking sense, Cherrystar knew she was. She stood up, barely holding her ground against the blizzard on the other side of the barn.

“Bluebell, Softfur, gather straw and materials from the dens!” She ordered, glancing around frantically. The straw wouldn’t be enough to hold up against the wind and snow, she didn’t know what else to use. “Fruitflower, bring up the straw from the lower floor!”

A flash of blue fur appeared beside her before Bluebell rose her voice above the storm. “If we push the hay bales in front of the biggest holes, the snow won’t be able to get in. It’ll block the wind.” She suggested, waiting for a nod of approval before motioning Softfur to follow her.

“Sweetwhisker, is the herb store okay?” She shouted across the barn, watching as the healer frantically gathered together her various plants. “No, the wind is blowing the leaves everywhere! I’m afraid the snow will damage them,” the fear shone in her eyes. Orchidclan has never been through anything like this before; the clan was only made up of four cats, Cherrystar wasn’t sure how’d they would handle this.

“Canarypaw, help Sweetwhisker move all the herbs behind the hay bales!” She lept towards the prey pile- there wasn’t much. Winter was already hard enough, they had nothing but a few scrawny mice. Praying that their few pieces of prey wouldn’t get destroyed by the snow, she quickly moved them to where Sweetwhisker was putting her herbs.

“Where’s Canarypaw? I told her to help you.” Sweetwhisker glanced up, shaking her head. “I don’t know, she hasn’t spoken to me.” Cherrystar nodded, dismissing her from the conversation. She whipped her head around, quickly spotting Canarypaw’s bright orange fur huddling in the corner of the barn. She was breathing heavily, her eyes shut tight.

“Canarypaw, what’s wrong?” She leaned down, lowering her voice as she spoke to the frantic apprentice. “You’re gonna be okay, we need your help.” Canarypaw’s eyes shot open, evident terror showing in them. Cherrystar firmly pressed her nose to her forehead, “It’s going to be okay. We’re gonna make it through this, but not without your help. Bluebell and Softfur are covering the gaps in the walls, Sweetwhisker needs your help storing the herbs.”

“I… I can’t, Cherrystar. I can’t do it.” Her voice was barely audible above the storm raging outside.

“What happened? You were so brave earlier when you told me we needed to cover the walls. You did so well, I know you can help us. You’re just scared, we all are.”
Canarypaw shook her head- Cherrystar’s little pep talk clearly wasn’t helping. Racking her brain for what to do, Fruitflower appeared beside her. “I moved the straw from the dens up here, let me handle Canarypaw. I know how to.” That’s right, Fruitflower had been a mother before; she would know how to handle this.

“Thank you,” Cherrystar said, grateful for the help. She turned around, looking at the scene before her. Cats frantically running back and forth, blankets of snow layering the barn floor. There were leaves and hay scattered everywhere, Sweetwhisker was unsuccessfully trying to gather all her herbs together. The few pieces of prey they had were soaked- but not ruined. Most of the holes were patched up, though some snow was still falling through the roof.

She looked around at her clan, Bluebell, and Softfur, securing the last haybale against one of the larger holes in the walls. The storm was still raging outside; the worst of it was over now that they had the walls patched up.

“Is everyone okay?” she asked, looking around anxiously.

“The herb store is basically ruined, I only manage to save a few things,” Sweetwhisker mumbled, looking disdainfully at the few leaves and flowers sitting beside the prey pile.

“The prey took a beating, but it’s not ruined. We can still eat it.” Bluebell reported, her voice blank of any enthusiasm. Cherrystar understood, even if their prey was okay, it wasn’t worth much. They barely had enough to feed themselves for a day.

She looked towards Fruitflower and Canarypaw, “She’s okay.” Fruitflower said before she could even ask.

“Thank you,” she turned back towards the others. “The worst of it is over, we’re just going to have to deal with the snow for now. It’d be smart to get some rest now, I’ll stay up and watch in case the storm gets worse.” Murmurs of agreement rose from the cats; everyone made their way to a corner of the barn, hoping to avoid the snow and wind.

Cherrystar jumped on top of a hay bale, watching as her clanmates huddled together, hoping they would get some sleep.

PROMPT 5
Username: angel furby
Clan: orchidclan
Word count: 1,097 words
Prompt:

Cherrystar sat in front of a small kit, her whiskers twitching in anticipation. She got comfortable in the corner of the barn, pulling the tiny bundle of fur closer. "I'm excited you're finally taking an interest in this, Orchidkit, I've wanted to tell you of these stories since you were born!" She said purring. "You see, as hard as it may be to believe, I haven't always been the leader of Orchidclan. In fact, I was born a kittypet!" she paused at the kit's laughter. "Now, now, don't be too quick to judge…"

Around Cherrystar and her kitten, various cats were sharing tongues and doing tasks around camp. Canarywish and Mangolily sat chatting atop a hay bale, discussing tomorrow's dawn patrols. Applebounce was on the ground, yelping in fake fear as her kits bounced around her as if she were an enemy warrior. Sweetwhisker and her partner healer disappeared through the camp entrance, presumably on their way to gather more herbs.

Orchidclan has grown, both literally and figuratively. With new cats joining and old cats starting to have kits of their own, the clan is flourishing now more than ever. Cherrystar is still leading proudly with Canarywish by her side as her deputy. Senior warriors such as Bluebell, Lilychaser, and Fruitflower help the two leading cats make crucial decisions; their opinions are highly valued by Cherrystar.

Applepaw, Mangokit, and Velvetpaw have all gotten their warrior names- Applebounce, Mangolily, and Velvetears. Applebounce officially left her two-legs to join Orchidclan full-time, making Cherrystar incredibly proud of her old apprentice, who was once an immature and impulsive kit. Mangolily and Velvetears became mates not too long after they got their warrior names, and are living happily serving Orchidclan together.

Sweetwhisker is no longer the only healer of Orchidclan. It didn't take long for her to meet a kit which had the potential to become her healer's aid, and soon become another fully trained healer. With the plentiful litters born recently, they are hoping to take on another healer's aid soon.

Fruitflower actually had her own litter of kits, her second, with a tom from a bordering clan- something not known by anyone but her. All of Orchidclan assumes she broke it off with the father, therefore refusing to reveal their name; most believe the father is Wrenbounce, but no one pries. Her kits are now warriors, and she couldn't be prouder of them. She's still serving as a caregiver, helping the others with their litters. She's also learned about herbs from Sweetwhisker, enough to be able to help her with occasional healer jobs.

Birdsong and Wolftail are- maybe a bit surprisingly- still going strong! Perhaps grumpier than usual, with the increase of complaints from apprentices having to care for them, but lively as ever! Others have joined them in the elder's den, keeping the atmosphere a bit more cheerful among the crankier Wolftail and Birdsong.

Of course, Orchidclan has suffered many losses during the passing of this time as well. Many harsh winters, the snowfall destroying their herbs and prey, making it nearly impossible to hunt and feed the clan. Outbreaks of sicknesses, taking many undeserving lives. Battles have broken out, both within the clan and with the bordering clans. Some over silly things like 'stolen' prey, or mistakenly crossing a border. Many lives have been lost, no matter how hard Cherrystar tried to save everyone. Despite these losses, Orchidclan is doing good after a long five years. They've grown in many ways, and every cat is proud of how far they've come from being nothing but an ex-kittypet and two barn cats struggling to make it by.

Cherrystar was finishing her story to Orchidkit, though the kitten looked about half asleep. "Pay attention now, this is just where it gets interesting!" she teased, nudging the small, grey kitten.
"I'm listening, Momma, I am! It's very interes-" her sentence broke off with a yawn. Cherrystar laughed; she pulled Orchidkit closer and began to wash her fur. "We can finish tomorrow, go ahead and take a nap. Soon I'll be getting to the part where I met your father." She whispered, continuing with the kit's bath as she dozed off to sleep.

As soon as the kit was asleep, Cherrystar gently picked her up and moved her to a nest, tucking her in to ensure she would sleep comfortably. She jumped atop the hay bale next to Canarywish, settling in beside her deputy.

"We've come far." the orange and white she-cat said, proudly looking down on the camp, buzzing with energy. Cats sharing tongues and eating their last meals of the day as the sunset overhead the barn, flooding in through the gaps in the roof.

"I know we really have. It's hard to believe it was just me, Fruitflower, and Bluebell; we were struggling so hard to get by. We could barely feed ourselves." she sighed, looking over at the two cats lying in a patch of sunlight. "Especially with Fruitflower's attitude," Cherrystar laughed, "she's grown so much too. In the first few moons of Orchidclan, she would hardly do anything. I'm proud of her."

Canarywish nodded, looking over to them as well. "I know, I remember." she smiled, thinking back to her apprenticeship in Orchidclan. "I remember how frustrated you would get with her during patrols. You would force her to come out with us since there were only so many cats who could." she laughed, imagining the small patrols and so few cats left back at camp.

Cherrystar turned to her friend, glancing back at her sleeping kit. "When Orchidkit is apprenticed, I want you to train her. I trust you more than anyone in this clan to raise her into an incredible warrior," she paused for a moment; Canarywish did a fantastic job mentoring Mangolily, who's now one of the most reliable warriors in the clan. "I want to do it myself, but I know I'd be biased," she said with a laugh.

"Of course, Cherrystar. I'd be honored, you know I love her as if she were my own. I'll train her into the best warrior Orchidclan has ever seen." she promised, looking at the kit sleeping a few feet away from them. "Thank you."

The leader nodded, smiling warmly at Canarywish. "Thank you for being such a great deputy and friend, Orchidclan wouldn't be the same without you," she said before dipping her head in farewell and jumping down from the hay bale. She made her way towards Orchidkit, giving her clanmates one last look before curling up around her kit and closing her eyes.

PROMPT 5
Username: endlessechoes
Clan: The Tribe of Endless Waters
Word count: 326 words
Prompt:

In five years, Blue will be about 161 moons, or about 7 years. She'll likely still be kicking it by then, ever the storyteller and ever the spiritual leader she is now. Blue has yet to choose a Proven to take over after she's gone, and has probably been putting it off for too long. She wants someone almost exactly like her, with the exact same appreciation for nature and the ancestors that she does. However, it's likely she won't find the exact perfect cat, and she often sits in camp just staring at everyone, trying to decide who would do a good job. Perhaps she simply hasn't found the perfect cat yet, and the reason why still evades her.

Blue expects to have kits with Riptide soon, but not quite yet. She's still doing her best to figure out leading, and is having reservations about bringing kits into their harsh world. On the topic of kits, Nutmeg has recently been brought into the clan along with her three bundles of fur. Bluebell, from the looks of it, will probably be a medicine cat due to her soft and inquisitive demeanor. If not, she'd make an excellent hunter. Cherimoya, on the other hand, is brash and reckless, and would probably scare off every bit of prey in the jungle. Her fighting skills, however, are impeccable, and she triumphs in every play-fight with her littermates. Otter, on the other hand, is extremely deliberate and intellectual. While Cherimoya and Bluebell are complete opposites, their brother is somewhere in-between. The sly kit knows when to stay quiet, when to say something, and exactly what other cats are thinking. He'll be an excellent tracker, and his beige pelt will likely help with hunting.

Blue does expect more cats to join their tribe, as they've stumbled across a few recently. Perhaps its because of the ancestors, or perhaps just dumb luck. Either way, the tribe will prosper in the coming years.

PROMPT 5
Username: QueenOfWyrms
Clan: Groveclan
Word count: 783
Prompt: Clan 5 years from now

Honeystar stirred lightly from her slumber, tail flicking off her front paws and snout where it had rested while she slept. She opened her eyes slowly, feeling well rested despite the worries she had gone to sleep with. Laughter and the cheery sharing of tongues slipped past her tangled curtain of vines, into the hollow of her cave. A warm sensation of delight swept through her at the sound, and she followed it to the camp center. Sunlight bright with the Greenleaf sun slid down into the clearing and a slight chill ruffled through her fur from the breeze as it silently flew from the woods on one side to the other. The prey pile was overflowing with fresh-kill, juicy and delicious scents wafting over and setting her stomach a-growl. Her distended stomach, heavy with kits from her lover. Soon, she thought, she would have to set the deputy as temporary leader so she take time in the Nursery as it neared the day for the kits to be born.
As it was, she watched the Queens of Groveclan entertain their own kits as the medicine cat gave them each a thorough look-over. They had begun the practice after one kit, now an apprentice well on his way too warriorhood, had nearly died of an unanticipated bout of whitecough. He‘d been overlooked because it should have been the wrong season and so his mother did not bring it too the medicine cat‘s attention.
Honeystar neared the prey pile, the scent of fresh mouse—her favorite—caressing her nostrils. An over-eager apprentice skidded today a halt inches from her side, having run full-tilt to triumphantly place his most recent kills on the pile. She bade him well done and sent him off with a prime vole, assuring him she would tell his mentor of his excellent catches.
She joined the mentor and another few warriors in sharing tongues, reviewing how their respective apprentices were coming along, and who would be ready to take on another when the kits in the nursery reached six moons of age.
Life in the clan was as overflowing as their fresh-kill pile. Never before had they had such a promising numbers of warriors and upcoming warriors. They could hunt almost to excess and still the forest‘s wildlife thrives around them. They no longer relied on Kittypets, rogues, and loners to raise their numbers; though all were still welcome. Their last great conflict had been when several of the cats resented her leadership and had split off to make a clan of their own far away—after her loyal warriors‘ battle prowess had convinced them that killing her would not be the correct solution. And that had been over twelve moons ago.
Honeystar looked up the the stars as the day neared it’s end, grateful for all they had given her from the day she stepped out of her kittypet yard in a trance-like state. The stars came closer, and closer, until she could see individual faces in them, those she‘d met when she received the name of Honeystar at the moonridge, those she‘d lost among the seasons, and so many more she could never have imagined existed. A single star, Glacierdust—with whom she had first spoken—stepped down and greeted her.
„This is all a Dream isn’t it?“ Honeystar asked, though she already knew it was true.
„Yes. That does not mean it will not be real, however.“ Glacierdust replied, his shimmering ghostly pelt blowing in the breeze as he faced her. He turned to look out at the horizon and it stretched until the beautiful sunset could be seen once again and the other stars slowly blinked out from the light.
„We decided to give you a glimpse into the future of your clan, so that you may rest peacefully from the worried corroding your mind.“
Honeystar nodded, content with that. She looked down at her still swollen belly, wondering at the kits within and when she would see them for real.
„I know… I know that I cannot remember this when I wake, but until then, may I continue in the dream? It’s so wonderful and serene here…“ She looked back up into Glacierdust‘s eyes. He nodded, and she found herself back where she was, speaking with clanmates she had yet to meet about others who had yet to be born.
And when Honeystar woke, to the frozen air of a lingering Leafbare and the voices of only a few young cats outside the vine covered portal of her den, hunger in her stomach and cold soaked into her bones, she did not remember her dream, except that somehow, someway, she knew. She knew that everything was going to be alright.

PROMPT 5
Username: AwkwardAnxiety
Clan: Tribe That Follows Rivers Through Trees
Word count: 553 (Sorry about forgetting this last time!)
Prompt:
PROMPT 4:
How do you expect your clan will be living life 5 years from now? Will there be new kits, an elderly leader? Or will there be nothing except mouse bile left for the world to see?

This prompt is special, you will have more than 24 hours to do this. Make it count! There might be something cool at the end.

Tiger That Leads To Safety smiled down from her perch at her beautiful tribe. Around this time five Frozen Rivers ago, the tribe had just begun, Tiger being the only inhabitant. Now, the tribe was bustling with life, Kits running around with their Mothers, Protectors standing guard, Hunters coming in with their latest catches, and Learners training with their mentors. Tiger That Leads To Safety had even had some kits of her own with her mate, one of the Protectors. They'd had two litters and decided to let them grow up before having any more. Tiger's River-Seeker wandered the camp, surveying it on the ground as Tiger was from her perch. Tiger was glad she'd thought ahead even at the very start of the tribe as after only a few years they had desperately needed the expansion space that the nearby clearings provided. Many Housecats and Roamers had decided to settle in the tribe and dedicated themselves to it and many litter had been born there, making up the younger generations of the tribe.
Tiger That Leads To Safety was on her 3rd life, having lost her first trying to save kits from a flood and her second helping to fight off a pack of foxes. Her River-Seeker often advised her not to be so reckless but she always laughed him off. How could she be a proper River-Guide if she did not offer herself completely to her tribe? She always answered.
A disturbance interrupted Tiger That Leads To Safety's reminiscing and she sat up, alert. She prepared to jump down from the branch she laid on in case of danger but saw her River-Seeker give the signal that everything was fine. Looking closer, she could see that it was just poor timing where a group of Protectors that had been patrolling the territory returned at the same time that one of the Mothers went into labor, and one of the Protectors was the father. She knew this because she remembered that tom coming to her nervously with the Mother, who was not yet a Mother then, asking permission to become mates. She had happily allowed it and rejoiced in the fact that new Kits were joining their clan. Tiger That Leads To Safety never rejected new Kits or a request from a Housecat or a Roamer, even though some felt she should be more discerning with who she allowed, as long as they vowed to follow the Tribe Code, given to her in the early days of the Tribe by the Tribe of The Stars themselves. After all, many in the tribe, including herself, had not started out as Tribe cats.
She looked over at the prey pile, delighted that her Hunters were so good that there was a prey added for nearly every prey eaten. Her Healers always kept up on their stocks of herbs and when they were low, many of the Learners would go out of their way to volunteer to help collect more. As her train of thought moved onto Learners, she remember that she had several Kits who had just reached the age to become Learners, and several Protectors and Hunters who were ready to mentor. She jumped down form the branch with a grin and went to the middle of the camp to begin the ceremony.

PROMPT 5
Username: SilentMelody
Clan: Shoreclan
Word count: 530 words
Prompt:

Shellstar shifted in her nest, letting out a soft sigh. Ever since she became an elder at 70 moons old, she was having a harder time finding ways to spend her days and she was often bored most of the time. At 93 moons, she didn't have much else to do other than sleep. Yet sleeping in different positions hurt her back and hips too much.

She perked her head up when she heard Stormstar calling to the clan. "Let all cats join under the Beachcliff for a clan meeting!" the new leader was yowling. All cats? That meant that the meeting was really important if everyone had to be present.

Shellstar stood up and stretched, not taking her time for once. She was eager to hear her old-time friend's words. However, they came as more of a shock than she expected. "Now that you are all gathered, I have important news. After being the leader for 20 moons, I will now be retiring," Stormstar concluded and similar gasps of shock echoed.

Stormstar turned her gaze to someone in the crowd, and Tigershine stepped forward. He was made deputy soon after Stormstar received her name. For the past 20 moons, he had been doing a good job. Now Shellstar hoped he would continue his streak of goodness during his leadership. He had certainly been a good role model to the kits that were running along the beach, although none of them were his own.

"Tigershine, I now name you the leader of Shoreclan. May Starclan grant him a long and prosperous reign," Stormstar purred and leaped down from the Beachcliff to approach him. Tigershine waltzed to the front of the crowd and purred elegantly. The two exchanged licks to the others' shoulders.

Tigershine parted from the past leader and made his way onto the Beachcliff, smiling warmly. "At 76 moons old, I would have never thought to be the leader. In fact, I never thought I would be at all," he joked.

Small chuckles erupted in the crowd, but they died down when Tigershine glanced around and cast his amber gaze onto specific cats. His irises paused on a particular cat, and he cleared his throat softly. "Ripplefang, will you please step forward?" he asked, and the tom he was speaking to did as he was told. The warrior in front of the crowd was a silver Bengal tom, regal-looking with his sleek coat and muscular body. He would make a strong deputy, Shellstar thought to herself wistfully.

"Ripplefang, you will now be Shoreclan's deputy and my most trusted advisor as well as my friend. Do you agree to this?" Tigershine asked and dipped his head.

Ripplefang nodded back to him curtly and replied gruffly, "I do." Although the tom had a harsh exterior and an ever harder-to-read expression, there was a glimmer of kindness in his eyes. Tigershine and Ripplefang had something going on, perhaps admiration for one another.

The names of the new leader and the new deputy rose into a chant, causing tears to brim on Shellstar's eyes.

She would've never thought that she'd get the chance to see so many generations while walking along the shores.

PROMPT 2
Username: chimingcloud
Clan: Chamomile court
Word count: (if art put n/a!)
Prompt: [859 words]
The elegant Creamflower waltz into camp to see her family of warriors flourishing in the center of camp within happy chatter with the relaxing chiming of birds singing in the distance, representing such a beautiful peaceful morning. She nods to her loving mate Honeystripes who is perched next to their experience Leader, Dovewing. In the average clan, a leader isn't expected to last more than just a few years due to constant stress of battles and territory disputes but that doesn't seem to be the case with court. Due to cat's taking up pacifistic values and only resorting to violence as a last option, a leaders lives going by relaxing slow for now warrior to be worried about their favorite leader elaving them anytime soon. How many lives does she have still? 4? 5? Eh It's hard to keep track of.

Honeystripe's petite figure he adorned when he first joined the clan seems to have been replaced by a bulkier figure dressed with muscle from his years of leading patrols and running out threats and training the next generations to warriors. He was such a meek cowardly cat at the start of this, almost just scared of about anything even his own shadow. To the point even had to take away his deputy position away but some would even ask, why would she give him such a high in the first place. Unlike the slim kittypet that was once appointed, the strong tabby very much fit the role better.

Within creamflower's mouth hung a fine squrriel, the weight of it was starting to bug her so she switched her gaze to the hole in the gazebo flooring leader leading to the rest of camp. Hopping down into the burrow to find the fresh kill pile. When they moved in here, this was a dingy musty gross cave that warriors were ecstatic to get of in the morning. With years of love and passion going into their court home, the underground bunker had evolved with it. It now had stable walls crafted out of mud to create different den for different cats. The warriors of the court have also studied how plants are birthed through seeds and have carefully decorated this basement with flower seeds from the field to line the dens with colorful accents to make everything just feel more like home.

Sniffing her way to fresh kill pile to drop off the great catch before heading towards the apprentice's den to check on her kits and how their training is going. Two ginger apprentices sat at the entrance sarcastically joking with enough and bragging on yesterday's catches. Her eyes widened in a we at how much they looked like their father. This was her third litter she's gifted to the court and hopes it will be her last, Of course the pain of birthing and raising kits is worth the rewards but the Queen is exhausted and ready to retire from that lifestyle to help hunt and collect herbs for her clan. Nuzzling up to the two kits and headbutting both to hear their snarky remarks. "oh Emberpaw ! Foxpaw! If your so concerned with yesterday's catches, maybe you bug your mentors to take you out to feed the clan today instead of living in the past." The ticked tabby queen chuckled just for the kits to nod in shame. "okay mom ! I'll bring back the biggest hawk for you to munch on !!" Meowed Foxpaw before darting off back above ground into the gazebo with Emberpaw right on his tail.

Creamflower sighed happily before following them up to the surface to see Dreamcatcher and hawkbounce Talking to the the ginger apprentices. Planning where in the territory they would head for their hunting lesson. Creamflower remembers when dreamcatcher was only a small weak kit with determination flaring in her eyes, what a fine warrior she's become ! One day she might even be able to be leader like her mother, she would fill int hose footsteps perfectly. And hawkbounce, a kittypet Dreamcatcher brought to camp as a apprentice. A handsome colorpoint with eccentric personality and a blatant crush on the pure whiet she-cat. They had been the best of training mates since a young age and have grown up to be close mates who took training apprentices very seriously instead of looking to have their own kits. It absolutely didn't seem like dreamcatcher's style to sit in the nursery for 8 months anyways. The warrior always had to be out and about helping her clan grow and floruish.

Might as well check on Honeystripes thought Creamflower to herself before sprinting to her love across the camp and hitting him with a affectionate headbutt. It seemed to shock the tom as he jumped a little bit before letting out a giggle and licking the tuft of hair down on Creamflower's head. "Hi my love, what;s up?" He spat happily while looking down at her. Her eyes looked up at him sparkling as she smirked, "I'm just really in love with the life we've created here in the court !" He returned her smile before chiming a meek little," me too my darling."
