Fable wrote:Blue was known as a great, wise Keldine. He often wandered, providing wisdom to those who would listen. He could remain calm, even within the most strenuous of situations. Blue's calm demeanor made him seem approachable and friendly, and he used this to spread his teachings and advice. Then came Red, a jumpity, jittery Keldine. Red always seemed to be hyper, but not in a good way. Rather, Red seemed as though he only wanted a fight. He wanted to be the first at everything. Due to this extremely different dynamic, Blue saw him as a nuisance. His fatherly personality dissipated, a passive-aggressive personality taking its place. Red would prance on by, and Blue would give him the side eye. Of course, Blue would be respectful and polite whenever Red spoke to him. But his overexcited demeanor rubbed Blue the wrong way. This intensified once it was discovered there was a crook on the loose committing theft all around. They pointed their claws at each other, indicting one another for doing the crime.
“You did it, you fat, hulking bear! You’ve always seemed sneaky to me!!” Snarled Red, who puffed out his star-speckled chest and bared his fangs at Blue, who looked down at the growling Keldine with cool eyes that held a raging fire behind them. “First of all, ram, I’m not fat. Don’t ever call me that.” Blue scowled. The big, sparkling blue-gray Keldine stepped forward, and Red seemed to shrink under him. “Just confess. I know it was you. You yourself have been shifty the past few days, don’t try to deny it. It’ll make both of our lives easier, especially yours.” When Blue finished, Red took a sharp breath, and the townsfolk around the two scattered, sensing a rise in tension in the air.
"Well, Mr. I'm So Smart and Wise, then where's the evidence that I did it, huh?" Red sneered. "You know nothing about me." he continued, glaring daggers into Blue's cold stare. "The way you behave alone is erratic and frantic, simply the way that anyone who was guilty of a crime would act once they have been caught," Blue calmly explained, "therefore, by simple logic and reasoning, you are the most likely suspect." Blue stopped speaking with a sigh. He wondered how long it would take to get through Red's skull. "I will prove that YOU'RE the culprit, and then we'll see who's acting like they've been caught!" Red teased, running off.
A few days passed. Blue spent his time actually searching for clues and asking the townsfolk questions that would help him rest his case about Red. Red, however, spent his time carefully watching Blue to make sure he didn’t steal. If the Keldine didn’t steal anything, perhaps then he could move on to another Keldine to stalk. Red could also just search for clues like Blue was doing, and like he was told to do by the local police when they’d signed up to help, but watching Blue was more fun. Watching Blue made Red’s heart pound. What was this feeling??? Oh. Anger, duh. What else could it be?
Blue's clue-seeking habits pointed him at a Keldine with horns. He immediately mounted this evidence against Red, as he had ram-like horns adorning his head. Red continued watching Blue from the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce on Blue for his thievery. Blue's heart seemed to flutter when he figured out that the thief had horns, just like Red. It felt strange, but he told himself that it was simply excitement that he found evidence to use against Red. "By the stars, I know I've got him cornered now." Blue muttered to himself. His star-like markings glowed with pride as he worked around this evidence. Meanwhile, Red felt as though Blue's lack of thievery was suspicious. "Perhaps he knows that I'm watching him. I'll be the first to see it happen, no matter what!"
