The cats padded through the forest, the sunlight filtering through the leaves dappling along their backs, lending some of its warmth. The three apprentices did their best to be silent, but Emberpaw kept purposefully bumping into Silverpaw to mess with him. The she-cat stopped though, once she picked up the scent of prey. She wasn't quite sure what it was, but it had to be food, right? Emberpaw stalked through the brush, emerging into a clearing. Dejectedly, she stared at the scraps in front of her. Owlstar padded forward, giving them a good sniff. "Still edible. Goob job, Emberpaw." The leader praised, giving the apprentice a nudge with her nose. Emberpaw couldn't hide her pride. +1 scraps, +1fp, +1xp
The patrol continued, and it was Doepaw who managed to stumble upon a shrew, which gave the she-cat quite a fright as it darted out in front of her. Luckily, instincts took control and the young apprentice darted out a paw to snag it and deliver the killing blow. Silverpaw padded forward, giving his sister a prideful smile. "Looks like we'll be eating good tonight!" +1 shrew, +2fp, +1xp
Lilacmoon and Sleekhaze did end up finding parsley near the river, and happily trotted alongside the patrol as they headed home, satisfied with their findings. +1 parsley, +1xp

As Shadestar was thinking about that wretched badger, he managed to stumble across some rush and ragwort leaves by a small creek. At least I can recognize herbs, the tom thought as he gathered them and tucked the bundle in a small alcove. +1 rush, +1 ragwort leaves, +2xp
Shadestar began on his way, and it wasn't long before the tail of a lizard poking out from a shrub caught his attention. Perhaps the predator hadn't scared away all the prey. These lizards were quite hardy, after all. Shadestar grinned as he padded closer, silently applauding himself for walking so silently. With a simple swipe of his claws, the lizard was on the ground and the tom had swiftly delivered the killing bite. With a smirk, he quickly buried the lizard next to a particularly odd-shaped rock so he'd be able to track it down later. +1 lizard, +2fp, +2xp
It at that moment Shadestar caught a glimpse of a flash of black and white through the trees. The moment he recognized what it was, the leader realized he had a choice to make. Will he pursue the threat, or will he instead ignore the creature?

The cats were padding along a path in the woods, doing their best to search for prey. Shellwing had tagged along with Kestrelstar and Spottedshadow, hoping to track down some herbs and lend her nose to the hunting party. She'd spotted quite a few herbs along the creek last night, but the medicine cat had decided it'd be better to grab some in the morning. And so, she'd tagged along with her leader and his mate.
Kestrelstar was chatting to the two cats about a particularly odd-tasting magpie he'd eaten last night when a squirrel darted right out in front of them. Adrenaline promptly flooding into his veins, the three cats gave chase. Spottedshadow ended up surpassing her mate, and snagged the squirrel in her jaws before it dashed up a tree to safety. Shellwing purred a quick good job, while Kestrelstar merely nudged the warrior playfully. "I would've caught it if you'd given me three more seconds." He joked. +1 squirrel, +3fp, +3xp
The cats headed toward the creek, their eyes keen. Shellwing did eventually find the herbs which stretched along the bank for quite a few fox-lengths. What a variety. It took all three cats to hold the bundles, and Spottedshadow had to have the squirrel draped over her back so she could carry some herbs. When they were all set, jaws full of their own bundles, the patrol headed back to camp. +1 raspberry leaves, +1 borage leaves, +1 juniper berries, +1 horsetail, +4 xp
