Similar to a machete, he uses it to cut down branches and bushes that are in his way, as well as a self-defense tool to scare off any predators. He often goes on camping trips, so this lance proves to be very useful in knocking down food from trees if needed. He also uses it to slice through spiderwebs so he can avoid walking through them.
