basic story:

Raised as a lone child, Persephone is used to being sheltered, but once she could move out, she did, and finally got to experience those things in life that she never got too. She got into trouble, maybe made bad decisions that she shouldn't have, but nothing stopped her, and she learned from them all. She was almost disowned by her family, but she had mellowed out and calmed down by then.

personality: tethys is a well-meaning but painfully nervous kal. she tends to hide and avoid others when she can, often hanging around rivers - she has a particular love for mountain brooks and spends a lot of her time wandering around, seeing where they go. the few who know tethys can speak to her kindness, though it's not known whether this kindness is genuine or simply out of fear. thys is also terrified of animals. like, any animal at all. got a harvest mouse? she'll go running.

likes: botany, geology, long adventures
dislike: basically any other living creature. also pretzels.

basic story: tethys' earliest memory is being alone in a forest. she doesn't know where she came from, who her family is or what happened in her life before that point, but she was old enough to know to follow a river to civilisation. she did so, and after hanging around a small town for a while, she decided to be a drifter. since then, tethys has spent her days following rivers up and down, seeing where nature takes her.

trivia:
-tethys is named after a greek primordial deity - tethys in greek mythos was the mother of the rivers.
-her nickname, thys, is a nod to thistles, as she studies botany.
-pretzels were the first man (kalon?) made food tethys remembers eating, and her hatred of them was so strong that she refuses to eat any cooked food.
-whenever tethys finds the source of a river, she leaves a small pile of stones on the shore to mark her presence. one day, she hopes to have placed a pile of stones on every river source in the world.

Jazz loves to make candles. It started with just wanting something to do, and enjoying dipping his paws in the wax. He would make them, and give them away to others as gifts for birthdays and holidays, but now he sort of runs a small shop full of different scents and designs. To him it's still just a hobby, but many see it as his job.
