PSITHURISM
the three she-cats had chosen to explore with one another that morning, though they had not reached that decision without more than a few convincing words from the smallest among them. mouse remained visibly shaken from their previous encounter with the rogues, her ears pricked and her gaze darting towards any small movement. she'd slept in a small ball in the corner of the shelter, her tail curled tightly against her side. a small brush against her hind leg sent her several inches in the air, though the other two hardly seemed to notice. the trio continued onward, the forest strangely quiet. for toad and squirrel, this was a pleasant break, though for the paranoid, it seemed suspicious.
several minuted later, mouse jumped again as she felt the brush against her fur, quickly spinning her form towards it, only to realize that it has been the calico's tail flicking out. were it not for the sly look spread across squirrel's features, it could have been brushed aside as an accident, but this look did not go unnoticed by the scout for a second time. her ears pulled back as a hiss escaped her throat, met simply with a glare from their leader, who had clearly missed the slight encounter.
"quiet!" the word was snapped by the irritated she-cat, and the three didn't bother to speak as they continued further away from their camp.
