Aidoneus babysat for a family one night. The family had a large house with many rooms. It was filled with lots of artifacts from all over the world. As the parents were leaving, the father told the girl that once the she put the kids down, she must go down to the basement, watch TV there, and don't go wandering around the house.
Once the kids are asleep, Aidoneus goes to the basement to watch TV. However, he cannot concentrate on his show because in the in the corner of the room is a life-size clown statue grinning at him. He decides to drape a blanket over the statue so he can ignore it. After a while he can’t stand looking at the clown statue’s over-sized feet sticking out from under the blanket. He decides to call the father and ask his permission to watch TV in another room, because he is freaked out by the giant clown statue in basement room.
“Listen very carefully,” says the father.
“Our children have been complaining about a clown that comes into their room in the middle of the night. We just thought it was nightmares. We don’t own a clown statue. You need to get the kids and get out of the house NOW! I’ll call the police.”
Aidoneus hangs up the phone, turns around to look at the covered clown statue, but all there is a blanket on the floor! He then hears steps coming down the basement stairs.

Coleus was waiting at the park for his date to arrive. They had been seeing each other for a while and he saw a future with them. He checked his phone, still nothing. He decided it was time to go over and check on them. As Coleus was making his way to his dates house he looked into a restaurant window and gasped. It was his date.... sharing a milkshake with his sister while staring deep into her eyes. Right as he was about to yell his world went dark.
Coleus woke up in a cold sweat and his whole body filled with dread. What did this mean? He was just about to call both parties in his dream but then remembered. I’m single and I don’t have a sister. Still, this troubled him for the rest of the day.

as much as wren would hate to admit it, his biggest fear is chickens and
he just so happened to get chased by a flock of them.
unfortunately, what makes this fear of his worse.. is that he lives on a chicken
farm. every day he has to wake up and attempt to tend to them and their coop,
barely getting as much as ten minutes of work done without them bothering him.
wren doesn't know where this fear comes from but whenever he sees a chicken,
he has the urge to run far, far away from it, stepping on a few eggs in the process.

Every night after the stroke of midnight was usually when most were already fast asleep. Only the shrieks and screams of the dead echoed through the sky. Everything else was dead silent, too weary to make a noise. I had been laying there for what seemed like hours. My brain jumped at the slightest sounds. The ghosts kept gnawing at my mentality. As the night stretched on I felt myself deteriorate. Perhaps this was it, this could be my final day. I won't know if I fall asleep. No, I will not fall asleep. You really only start questioning things during this time. How did I get here? Why must I lay restlessly each and every night. How come sleep is such a challenge? Oh crap. I've started rambling again haven't I? Seems like the ghosts are the only ones who tend to disturb those. And well… now that I'm deep in thought they've melted to the back of my he- huh? I could've sworn… nevermind! Where was I? Ever since I was young the noises gripped my heart. I listened for them in fear, who knows what could be making them? I usually blame ghosts… but I'm not entirely sure about that. They'd torment me through the night, believing it was some silly game.
But once the single rays of light fall upon my fur everything seems to fade. All my terror somehow runs off. Then, sleep comes much easier. And perhaps there are no ghosts… no noises… no anything. Maybe…
it's just me.

Mhairi hasn’t told anyone that she sees them.
Not her mother or father. Not her sisters or brothers. Her family knows she dreads the trips they take across the moors to sell their wares at the market, but she hasn’t said why.
She sees them most often on overcast days, when the fog hangs thick over the moors. Sometimes they stand huddled in groups. Sometimes they are working the land or carrying baskets of seeds and buckets of water. They’re dressed in ragged pinafores and breeches and bonnets, the kind of clothing she’s seen in faded photos of her grandparents as kits.
As the wagon rolls past, they stop and raise their heads. Their blank eyes find Mhairi. She hears their silent voices echoing in her mind.
Mhairi. It’s us.
She knows her family does not see them. Never once has anyone else commented on them. Once, her father drove the wagon straight through a group of them, as though they were as nothing but morning mist, and didn’t seem to notice.
Mhairi, they say, don’t you remember?
No, she thinks back as her heart pounds. You’ve made a mistake. I’m just a farm girl! I don’t know what you want!
She never knows whether they can’t hear or whether they don’t care. Their stares never leave her. Their voices don’t stop.
Mhairi, don’t you remember who you are? Don’t you remember who you were?

There are ghosts in the house, but nobody believes them/they keep getting blamed for objects breaking randomly, etc
