Day 6
Username: BiscuitTheDog
Cow: Carmie
Prompt:
Carmie usually wakes up pretty early and goes to sleep pretty late, but it doesn't affect her daily life in the slightest. She gets a good sleep with no drowsiness or clumsiness (usually, she's already kinda clumsy by nature).

6:00/15 AM - Carmie wakes up at this time. She is the only cow on her farm that wakes up this early, but if you want to get the best grazing spot, its well worth it! When Carmie gets up, she waters the Dahlia flower in her stable and takes a long drinks of water from her trough. After this she rearranges the hay she slept on during the night.

7:00 AM - By now, the human has likely woken up, and will do their daily routine. Carmie has a good view of the house from the stables, and always waits by the stable gate for the human to come out of the house to open up the animal's pens and stables.

7:30 AM - Carmie and her fellow cows (who have by now woken up) are allowed out. Carmie hands her human her armadillo comfort plush to be washed and dried, since it gets hay on it when she sleeps with it at night.

8:00 AM - Carmie and her herd mates get to work grazing and playing around. Nothing special.

6:00 PM - A lot of time passes. Most of this is done grazing, chatting with other herd-mates, and playing with the other ranch animals. Carmie does nothing out of the ordinary, except at 6 it is time to start heading back to the stables for bed.

7:00 PM - Carmie is handed back her comfort plush for the night. Sometimes, when she doesn't sleep with the plush, she usually has it in her stables all day. Most of the time it is washed, though.

8:00 PM - The human gives a treat (in the form of the specific cow's favorite fruit) to the entire herd. Just one treat to keep the cows from going lethargic and lazy. Fruit always excites the cows.

9:00 PM - Carmie isn't normally tired around this time. She drinks water and talks about random stuff with the other cows who stay up at 9.

10:30 PM - Most cows are asleep. Carmie sits down in the hay by herself with her comfort plush and goes over the day's events (even if it was just a boring, uneventful day).

11:00 PM - Carmie is tired. She normally lays down with her comfort plush and allows the nighttime noises to lull her to sleep.

12:00 PM - The human has gone to sleep by now, as well as most if not every ranch animal, excluding the few cats on the ranch who like to stay up. Carmie also has fallen asleep by now, if not earlier, maybe at 11:30.

So yea- Carmie's schedule is nothing out of the ordinary. Some day are particularly eventful, but this is what a normal, plain day looks like. Grazing takes up the majority, but hey, the grass on that ranch is pretty sweet.

Cow: Noel
Prompt: Noel sat up, stretching her arms high over her head before swinging her legs over the edge of the small bed and sliding her feet into a cozy pair of lavender colored slipper. She took a few sips of water from the glass she kept on her nightstand and walked over to the window overlooking the street below. It was only 7am but the sidewalks were already bustling with people on their way to work. She smiled, bunching the curtains to either side of the window frame and tying them to small hooks with ribbon so that the dawn sunlight filtered in and washed the room in a rich, golden glow.

The woman lifted her bathrobe from the hook on the back of the bedroom door and slipped it on, wrapping the sash around her waist. She seemed to almost float into the kitchen, immediately filling a kettle with water from the sink and setting it on the burner. This particular act was almost like clockwork, she did it every morning and the only thing that changed about it was the flavor of tea. On this particular sunrise, Noel took from the cupboard a small tin and popped the lid off, using a small spoon to scoop out the cranberry lemon tea and dump it into an empty tea cup. She sat at the quaint table by the window, lifting a "Home Life" magazine and finding a rather interesting article on soap making. As she read through the step by step, the kettle began to whistle and she stood up, lifting it from one burner to the other while turning the gas off. The woman poured it into the teacup and began to mix the herbs around. She didn't have a proper sieve, but instead used a cheese cloth stretched over a clean pot to strain the herbs out.

Noel returned to her magazine, sipping the tea carefully, blowing on it here and there. She regularly glanced at the clock on the wall, awaiting 8:30am when she would have already gotten dressed and her makeup done for the day ahead, and went downstairs to open her bakery.

Day 6

Postby yeena » Sun Apr 19, 2020 4:41 pm

    Day 6
    Username: ceance

    Cow: Percival
Prompt: Unintentionally, Percival says good morning to his elderly neighbor and her husband. He isn't sure what makes him do it anymore, but sometimes while he's watering his flowers, they'll walk by his house and every time they do, they wave. He's made it a habit to wave back at them every morning that they would come by. They were a sweet, nice couple and it was always pleasant to see them every morning. He dreads the day that one, or both of them, start missing days to say hello to him. Sometimes they even have a little white dog with them, trotting along in a color that matches their jumpsuits color for the day.
It's an extremely unintentional part of his schedule that he never planned on adding and yet, alas, here he was. While he was watering his simple tulips, he would smile when his other neighbors would bark- signaling that his comrades were on their way to their house next to him. Of course, he would sweetly wave at them and then some days he would banter with one or the other. They both always had such nice things to say about his tulips, enough to make him giggle softly and explain their names to them. [208W]

Day 6

Cow: Alli
Prompt:
Alli is a heifer who believes in the power and benefit of following a good daily routine, but she doesn't tend to be very strict about it. Instead, she chooses to lay out a loose routine that she can plan her day from. She doesn't think it's a big deal to stray from it every now and again but does try to somewhat follow it most of the time, using it as more of a sort of template.

Her routine generally consists of regular meals, taking care of some tasks and tending to or hanging out with her animal friends. Any time that doesn't have a designated purpose she uses in a variety of ways depending on upcoming events or how she is feeling that day and can range anywhere from snoozing in the grass to putting together details for a party.

One thing she does in particular though, at the same time nearly daily, is sharing a nice cup of tea with one of the women who own the farm. Every morning between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM the farmer comes out of the farmhouse and sits on the porch with a nice warm cup of tea. Since the start of including Alli in this daily ritual, she has begun to bring out a small bowl of peppermint tea for Alli to enjoy.

The two of them sit together, one in a rocking chair, the other at the bottom of the steps, enjoying the fresh morning before continuing with their day. When Alli reaches her head over the railing, she always gets affectionate face pats and forehead kisses from the farmer. This has to be one of the best ways to start the day, in Alli's opinion.

Cow: Phoebe
Prompt:
"How's the morning routine going, Phoebe?"

The tawny gold cow flicked her ears and made a small 'hmm' sound in response to Delphi's inquiry. The older cow's voice was lighthearted and borderline teasing, and it took Phoebe a moment to catch up with what she had said.

"What?" she asked, frowning curiously at the dark heifer. "What routine? I wasn't aware I had one."

"Sure you do," Delphi said, grinning some more. "Wake up, walk all the way up the drive to grab the mail, drop it on the counter as you come back in, then settle down with a mug of hot cocoa and your book of sudoku puzzles until Beverly comes back from her egg gathering, at which point you always get up to help her with breakfast."

A beat of silence. Phoebe glanced down and filled in another number on her current sudoku puzzle.

"I wasn't aware that you were so aware of our morning habits," she observed, noting that she had made a small mistake in the puzzle and hurrying to erase it with an annoyed huff.

"What can I say?" Delphi said, continuing to smile. "I am but a scientist who cannot help but observe and collect information, and you, child, are most certainly a creature of habit."

"Hmph," Phoebe said, glancing out the window to see if she could spot Beverly coming in from-

-wait a second. She did this every morning.

...maybe Delphi was right after all.

Day 6
Username: mtuan,
Cow: Abby
Prompt: There are a couple key things that Abby does when she's going about her daily routines- just some habits and some quirks she supposes and although they are nothing special to another person per se, Abby often finds herself performing these little quirks that never fails- and if she skips out on them, of course, then she will end up thinking about it for the entire day- she the young girl avoids skipping them when possible.

First, when she wakes up, she must stretch her arms and legs out as far as possible before getting out of bed- careful not to hurt herself, but fully pulling each band out so that she is relaxed and ready for the day. And again- at the end of the day- during her nightly routine, Abby has to stretch again- and go through her brushing routine of showering, brushing and then facial moisturizers of all sorts before bed. While the middle of the day is often varied depending on what she has scheduled, these are two daily tasks that she cannot miss out on. When she misses out on her morning stretches, she feels lethargic the rest of the day. If she doesn't put on her moisturizer at night- then she breaks out the next day. [212 words]

      Day 5
      Username: Morghettio
      Cow: True Hospitality
      Prompt:
Day 6: What is something in their daily routine that your Buttermilk does, whether intentional or unintentional? (Optional Addition: make a “log” of a typical day in your Buttermilk’s house.)

Now, Howdy is unknowingly called a special operations combat medic, or a combat rescue medic - it makes the most sense, to people. It is a job that Howdy does not need to explain. However, Howdy's real position is as a PJ: a part of the Air Force that can assist with any other sort of military issue, and even non-military, as PJ's can rescue NASA astronauts. More specifically, he is listed in the special operations sector, as a special ops (or tactics) pararescueman.

Typically, the air force might be thought of or considered one of the cushier military branches, but Howdy and Prescott went through an immense training that is some of the toughest and longest in the military. Even with how selective it is, only around 20% of individuals pass through the course that goes two years long. Now, both Howdy and Prescott are active in an operational squadron, and he is able to take things a tiny bit easier. Typically he gets weekends off, and his schedule often switches the days of administration and physical training, so his schedule in of itself is a bit rough.

Unintentionally, every day, Howdy has a rather peculiar habit. It makes sense given his conditions of his dorm life, but every time there is house keeping at his location in the hotel, he quickly scrounges to clean the room. On top of that, he always is very cautious to make sure nothing secure is being left out, even though he has pretty much nothing of the sort with him. His daily routine is to clear out his room every time before he leaves it, without even realizing he is just following the routine of his life at base.

Cow: Alberon
Prompt:

After a long day of walking, Alberon without fail will find a soft patch of grass deep in the forest and lay down, close her eyes, and listen to the sounds of the earth around her. She couldn't pinpoint when this had become routine for her, but she almost couldn't function without the quiet moment for her to wind down. Some of her favorite sounds included the grasshoppers chirping and the sounds of leaves above rustling on a windy night. And if she was lucky, the sound of crashing waves would linger in the distance. It certainly didn't start off as something she intentionally did but after she began to notice it, she made sure to carve time out for it. There was something so relaxing about it, not quite to lull her to sleep, but to help her wind down from the day and gather her wandering thoughts that she otherwise let run rampant.

Sometimes when she had her eyes closed for an extended period of time, she would be surprised with visitors when they next opened. Deer had managed to stop within feet of her body, seemingly watching and protecting her from harm. Rabbits have come to lay themselves on her chest, making a comfortable home near the steady beating of her heart. She never minded the company and embraced the animals taking a breath with her.

Cow: Antheia
Prompt: What is something in their daily routine that your Buttermilk does, whether intentional or unintentional? (Optional Addition: make a “log” of a typical day in your Buttermilk’s house)

Antheia never really had a daily routine nor had she ever thought of one. She loved to take her day on one step at time. She loved different challenges that made the gears in her head run. She enjoyed the creativity juices that new tasks gave her. She did have a small to do list, which was normal to her and never felt like a chore or routine. She loved just living life on moment at a time. In the mornings she would sometimes wake up early or late, depending on how her night went. She usually skipped breakfast but there were rare occasions where she need the extra boost of energy. She would do a "round" on the ranch and make sure everything and everyone was okay. Once everyone was feed she had free time until the next feeding time - dinner.

She would usually sit on the rocks and stare off into the woods longing to be surrounded by it. Sure the ranch she was on was in the center of the woods on a massive clearing but it still didn't feel right. Like she wasn't actually in the woods. She would eventually get hungry so she would go in for some food, a quick lunch usually, nothing to fancy or hard to make. She really needed to stop being desperate to be in the woods, it would only bring her more pain. She hummed as she make her sandwich and took a bite - tomorrow would be a good day - she could feel it.

    Day 6
    Username: bluex
    Cow: Teylie
Prompt: A daily routine? I don't think that's something that Teylie has ever heard of in her life. She does pretty much anything and everything whenever she feels like it. The only thing she really adheres to is feed times, but there's always other snacks anyway. The only thing that Teylie does that could be considered a day-to-day thing is watching the birds every morning. Since she's an early riser, Teylie often finds peace in the mornings where little to none of the other residents are awake. The brisk morning air always felt good against her nose, the cloudy morning haze and watching the sky change as the sun paints it different colours were just a few things she loved about dawn. She'd always have a small bowl of bird seed set next to her every night to scatter in the mornings, so the birds wouldn't have to work too hard and she could view them at her leisure. She'd always wondered what it would be like to fly, and decided she'd study the little birds as a hobby to mask her disappointment in her grounded state. She's curious about beginning to sketch them, to develop a little talent of her own. All the other cows around her seem to have their little 'thing', and Teylie thinks she's just now found her very own.
