Esmeralda had met Blackavar, her owner, through some rather strange circumstances. Originally, she had another owner, and worked on a farm within the kingdom of Worendelle. Her daily tasks were helping plow the fields or to ride along and gather the crop that was harvested. It was hard work, but a very relaxing lifestyle, if she were to say so herself. This sort of lifestyle was a norm for quite a long time... but one night, while in her stall, a man in dark clothing came in and opened her stall door. She had woken up from sleep then and felt a hand bat at her flank, urging her to move. Shortly afterwards she felt a rope land loosely around her neck, and she found herself being led out by a group of random folks, none of which she recognized as her owner...

She was ultimately lead to a village and sold to the black market, which ultimately sold her to another horse market overseas. It took weeks to get to this new continent, and she was ultimately placed into the horse market, where she remained there for a couple months.

She was, ultimately, purchased by her current owner once her price had been reduced, and the man soon brought her back to his own home. She was pleasantly surprised this man had plenty of other horses he took care of... Nevertheless, she wandered right into her new stall, content to remain for some time.

While she still misses her past owner, as well as the farm work she had also done, she does enjoy this newer life. She gets to run around a lot more than she did in the past, and gets to converse with plenty of other equines such as herself. She just hopes her past owner is doing well.
