Welcome to the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project
Euphorian Thoroughbreds are a rare string of the Thoroughbred breed. They come from a single farm simply called “Euphoria” that has horses with mutated genes. These allow them to be able to possess any realistic coat or markings. Everything else about the sub-type is the same. Long, strong legs, a powerful hind, and great speed. Their eyes are soft and the breed is incredibly smart, if not a bit goofy. They love kids and have the rare ability to excel in any discipline. They can grow from 15hh-18hh, though usually somewhere in the middle.
The horses readopted through the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project are looking for a new loving home and a new job. They’ve tried racing and have either retired or decided the sport wasn’t for them. Either way, they are ready for the next chapter in their life. Some of these horses will come with a little training already, and will have their new discipline already determined. Although others you’ll get to pick how they move forwards!

Ghost loves winter. The cold snow beneath his feet, create a weird sensational feeling. The soft powder-like snow is so fun to play in. His favorite thing to do with snow, is roll in it. He tends to overheat easily because of his beautiful black fur, so winter really helps keep him cool.

His most favorite part is the view. He loves how the icicles hang from the trees, and sometimes he likes to eat them. He loves how the snow illuminates in the moonlight, just like his snow-white face. At night, when its pitch black, his markings blend in perfectly with the snow. Giving off the illusion that he is floating, that is if he is standing still. Or as if he isn’t there.

That is where he gets his name. His rider, when she first got him as a yearling, went to go feed him. There was snow everywhere, almost a foot of it, and it was pitch black. She looked out into the field that he was in and she didn’t see him. He was standing in the middle of his small turnout pasture. She moved closer and noticed that it looked like there was a floating horse body and two beautiful blue eyes staring at her. She stood frozen in her tracks until he nickered and trotted up to her. At first, she jumped a little bit until she realized it was him. She laughed it off and stroked his beautiful face. [word count~246]

Elpis loved many things. Loved baths after a good trail ride, loved finding clover patches out in the pasture, loved getting treats and attention from his favorite people. However, he loved nothing more than he loved winter, and the snow it brought with it. He could practically predict any winter snowstorm before it came, and he’d even become a sort of resident meteorologist in the stables. The night before a snowfall he’d pace back and forth in his stall, barely able to contain his excitement. He was always the first out the stable doors on those snowy days, and he always ran out bucking and carrying on into the plush white pastures. He made sure to get his friends in on the fun too (whether they liked it or not) by running by and kicking snow right up at them. The fun never stopped even when the snow melted in winter sun, leaving plenty of mud puddles to splash through in its wake. Winter brought him snow to roll in, icicles to munch on, and a surplus of peppermints from all the barn hands. So, while he loved laying in the soft spring grass, and soaking in the summer sun, or the ripe apples and piles of leaves that came with fall, nothing beat his love for winter.

So this horse snuck onto a shipping container, and travelled to Ireland.
Because this is one very talented horse.

Now a permanent citizen in this lovely place (having no way of getting home has its perks), our brave hero proceeds to get as far away from the weirdo two legged things as possible, sits down, and eats some grass. 'Tis hardly a bad life here

Hades adores cold weather, although he rarely gets to be turned out if it is too cold and slippery. The feeling of being warm in a blanket or running in the cold and flaky snow was enough to get him excited for winter. Once he was turned out, he would always dive head first into the snow and roll, then get up and gallop straight through the solid white blocks of ice. When he comes in the stable hands always have to take off each bell boot from his hooves to shake solid snow off of them. One time when he was turned out in deep snow to be monitored while he was outside, he managed to get into snow up to his chest. He then rolled and laid in it, rubbing his head around in the snow(1). When he was done jumping and hopping around in the snow, he was brought inside where they would shake his bell boots, groom him until he dried, and blanket him again. Hades always enjoyed this part where he would be put into his stall. The stable hands put his cribbing collar on, and left him with water and two flakes of hay. Hades would always push the hay around until it broke apart and lay down next to it. He would then nibble at it and relax, laying down in it at times. One time, a boarder saw him asleep in his hay and she took the hay and made him into a 'hay man'. When he woke up, he would just stare and slowly eat it away(2). Hades, in conclusion, loves winter. Out of all four seasons, summer, autumn, spring, and winter, winter is his favorite. Not only is it fun, but his owner and rider gets to handle him when he is fresh too!

Competition: Requiem performs best under snowy conditions, something about the soothing or sometimes biting cold keeping him level headed and calm and how he enjoys the feeling of running through snow. He adores it honestly, and it was because of this fact that he ended up being moved to a more snowy country by his owner, who wished to see him happy but also to see him excel in training. His endurance is something to behold, u can see him easily surge through any amount of snow and is great for hacking across the winter trails or up steel mountains covered in the stuff. He loves blizzards or can usually be seen standing and just watching the snow fall on him when he's in his pasture, of course he has a permanent way back to his stall where its warm, but he just seems to love the cold and feel at home in it, rearing and bucking and chasing snowflakes.because of this love for snow he also made one amazing search and rescue horse, since he could handle the sometimes unforgiving weather and was always able to stick to the path or find his way back into a trail etc, and not having limited time out in the cold because of his endurance to it, so he was always able to find the poepe who got lost.

Riv has always been in love with the wintertime, ever since he was born actually. He can remember it vividly, the warmth of his mother and the beauty of the swirling white powder in the air outside the stable. It was like magic to him, it glimmered and sparkled as the sun hit it. A year later it was winter again, but this time the little colt could touch the very thing he remembered seeing when he was young. The cold surprised him a bit, definitely not what he was expecting. Riv loved it though, the fact he could see when other horses and humans went excited him, heck seeing his own breath was amusing to him. He could spend hours running through the snow, leaving his own path for others to follow.
When Riv was 7 years old he remembered he had a cross country competition in the winter. He ran through the snow, enjoying the icy wind that hit his face. The feeling he got when he jumped was amazing, like he was flying above the clouds. They won that competion, mainly because other horses had a hard time in the snow. That was a day he would never forget...

Merlin absolutely detests the winter.
For some, the winter brings calmness, the quiet of a world muted by snow bringing peace to their minds. However, Merlin much prefers the birdsong of spring, the winds of autumn, even the sheer noisiness of the summer bugs. The sombre silence of winter brings absolutely no sort of joy to the stallion.
And the cold. Merlin hates nothing more than going out of the stables on a chilled winter morning, the sharp bite of winter’s breath immediately paining the tips of his ears or the pink of his muzzle. Even when his body can be warmed by the thick blankets, his muzzle, ears, base of his tail and legs will still be bared to the elements, and nothing hurts worse than cold ears that you just can’t warm up. The only saving grace of winter is how warm and snuggly the stable becomes.
The worst part about winter for Merlin, though, is not the biting cold, or even the muffling silence. It’s the illnesses. He’d be lucky if he only met one sick human on any given winter day, the constant sniffles and racking coughs plaguing each human at least once during the season. He wouldn’t mind, if the humans would stay away until their sickness have faded, but nothing makes his skin crawl and tests his patience worse than when the human on his back sneezes... and immediately pets his neck. Ew.

Frosty loves the Winter, but not for the snow! Sure, the snow is nice and fun to mess and roll around in, but it got cold too fast for him. He preferred the warm barn with his snow-flake patterned blanket on in his stall. He led a comfortable life in the winter. He didn't mind standing in his stall for much of the Winter; its warmth and food was more than enough to make him happy. But to top it all off, his human never failed to cuddle with him in the winter.

They would just lay down in his stall and lay with each other. It was perfect; Warm and happy with no responsibilities. That is why Frosty loves the winter time.
