Simas are generally social mammals with average length fur and bright hearts.
Their body's skeletal structure matches one of a cat with its flexible spine and typically
lithe body frame, while the skull and paws resemble ancient canines such as a wolf- an
indicator of hybrid genes. Their fur is more abundant around their chest and neck and the
fur becomes more coarse as it reaches their tail, from abundant at the base to more coarse
until it's pure, soft velvet when it just reaches the jewel guard itself. Their jewel
acts as a weapon for self-defense as well as the guard, sharp against opponents and the
jewel is frequently kept clean for courtship and using their powers to their utmost
potential.

We made it to #50 already oh my. I'm so happy that I get to make a special sima finally, and no less the first one after the hiatus! <3

H I S T O R Y

As a young Sima Bolas worked very hard to appease his parents. His elder brother had been disowned, moved acrossed the globe and opened a bakery despite his parents efforts to make sure he was happy and healthy with them. They even tried to set him up with a beautiful female Sima they picked out so he could have a wonderful family. But, as Bolas could see even with such young eyes Gavin wasn't happy. Gavin loved to bake and read Bolas his animal books, and Bolas loved him for that. For the raw, unmolded version of his brother that only he really saw. With Gavin, now Glaze, gone their parents descended upon Bolas like Hawks. They weren't as overbearing as they were with Glaze, but they pushed him to be fit and healthy and chase a career they picked. He didn't mind the career, they actually took his interests in animals and saving the environment into consideration. So, after college, Bolas had a job at a nature preserve in Africa all lined up thanks to them. He does keep in contact with Glaze, he always has. He's excessively happy for his brother, he has a family and a mate that absolutely loves him! For now Bolas only has his animals and the few Simas that hang around the preserve, which is a story for another day because they all... Resemble his animal companions. He's made trips outside if Africa just to meet these strange Simas that seem to be connected to have raised Shenzi, Ventis, and their children. At first he was incredibly overwhelmed, blinking furiously as he couldn't believe his eyes. Sting and Masamba... Were the Manticores he thought went extinct eons ago. Bolas was absolutely thrilled to find out such a majestic species hadn't disappeared completely. After befriending them both he seems to be meeting more, now that they've judged him to be a good character. Odyssey is one interesting child... He speaks of Egyptian goddesses and Greek gods being his parents, and a war between two brothers. And a... Pharaoh that shaves his thick fur off, which admittedly sounds funny and draws a laugh from Bolas and Odyssey at the same time. Despite returning to his work frequently he enjoys visiting the Manticores and getting a chance to study them on his own, which he'll never release out of fear of them being attacked again but is still nice to know. He's always seemed to seek knowledge, and these Simas seem to have it.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Bolas is a fairly charitable Sima. He tends to think of others before himself and would them be... Well them around him. He's fairly loyal, and trusting, but both of those are earned rather than given. His trust and loyalty have been taken advantage of, and earning both are a challenge but once they're given a Sima is hard pressed to loose them. Others describe Bolas as a charmer, but a bit too loud when he gets excited. He can be a bit too kind, and comes off as far too smart for his own good. It's unintentional, he swears, he just likes to spout facts about animals and behavior. Sometimes he comes off as uncaring and cold but he's really not, he's just watching for what to care about with others. Some find it creepy, but he's just hyper aware and observant of others. He cares and by observing he finds out what others love, and can thusly love it too. He's fearful of others at times, you never know what they're capable of doing and thusly all must be approached with the proper, though hidden, amount of fear and caution. That doesn't mean he isn't willing to give them a shot, or is judging them harshly, just observing and making sure they're worth his trust and him letting his guard down. He's protective of those he cares for, and would do anything to see them safe, healthy, and happy. That's all he wants for them and it absolutely kills him to see them in bad places. Now those that break his trust, or those that are deemed undeserving of his trust see a completely different Bolas. He's still charming and charismatic but he's... Maliciously compliant and not openly kind towards them. He won't go out of his way to help them or help them. He'll want them to have bread, just not at his table. They're not welcome around his animals, or his other friends but he doesn't control them. He's not regretful of his decision to ostracize them, though if they're in a really bad place hell cave and help them. Even Bolas isn't so cruel that he wouldn't help a Sima down on their luck. They won't get another chance but they'll get a little kindness and help until they're okay again.

Personality: Finn is basically what happens to a hero after they've saved the day, and after the limelight has faded. Once the dust had settled, no one cared about what Finn was up to, and the cocky, heroic hero didn't take the fall from attention well. He slowly began to isolate himself, growing depressed and angry with the realization that he didn't know what to do with himself anymore. He closed himself off from others, becoming irritable when approached by anyone else. Finn was miserable, and in return, intentionally or not, he tried to make everyone around him miserable as well. Any self-care he did was thrown out the window, with Finn's health quickly going on the decline because he stopped taking caring of himself, no longer caring about what was going on. He doesn't seem to see the good in anything anymore.
Hobbies: Finn's hobbies are less than healthy. For one thing, he has fallen into a gambling addiction, losing tons of money in the process. He has learned how to bar tend, but that is mainly because he wanted to learn how to make his own drinks. In that sense, he is somewhat akin to The Hunger Game's Haymitch, drinking away his problems so that he doesn't have to face them.

Favorite Weather: Finn's favorite weather is rain. It gives him even more of an excuse than usual to stay inside, and reflects his general feelings and view of the world. He's a pessimist, and because of that prefers the dark and gloomy, which the rain thankfully accommodates.
