Rulers of the night, the lions of this group roam the dark, shadowy expanse of a dense forest. It stretches further than one could fathom - so far that if one were to run full speed from one end to another for an entire day, you'd not remotely some to see the other side. The trees are tall, their foliage thick, and the undergrowth is mighty and fruitful. While seasons do exist, they are slight and it tends to stay warm year round with the lowest dip ever seen ebbing on 72 degrees (Fahrenheit) and the hottest being in the 100's to 110's. Rain is shed weakly, though most of the time it remains a light drizzle, with larger storms happening once weekly. There is a lake within the center of their territory that has rivers drawing from it and snaking out in all directions, this is where the group meets for diplomatic reasons.

100 words (minimum) about their territory/where their pride will be built/how they achieved this territory:

The territory will be in more of a deciduous forest setting with mountains covered in pine, spruce, and aspen trees, with grasses and sage as the main underbrush, followed by fruit bearing brush, flowering herbs, wild onions, and even some plants that will cause irritation. Many areas of the territory will be rocky, with lakes in the ravines between a few mountains.
The pride will be led by a matriarch with the next in line being the most suitable female cub taking the lead next. While this is happening, there will be a secondary role, in case something happens to the matriarch before she bears cubs or another disaster strikes the pride. There will be a healer among the ranks, able to use the herbs found in the territory, and the rest of the pride falling under a general member status, maybe branching into a more specialized grouping when the prides numbers are larger.
Having achieved this territory by traveling until they felt they were stuck, the lions before them made their home where they ended. Learning to adapt to the ever changing weather, and hunting what prey there was. Few times they might have to challenge the wolves or bears for their territory, but these usually end with few injuries.

the territory is in the middle of the mountains, up high
so that the pride can rest comfortably in solitude. the
mountains also bring harsh winters that cover the pride
and their home in snow. while many lions would not be
able to survive this climate, the lions of the pride know
how to keep themselves warm and safe. they even are
able to catch prey during the most harshest winters. the
pride will be built in the center of the mountains, where
there is the most trees and a stream of fish. they will
have dens hollowed out of the side of one of the
mountains surrounding them. while it is not the safest
home to run around in, due to the cliffs and tumbling
rocks, the pride takes comfort in knowing that not a lot
of their enemies will risk sneaking into the territory.
the pride was able to achieve the territory by getting
stuck in a terrible storm while looking for a camp. the
lions had to seek shelter in order to survive. that was
when one of the lionesses found a clearing surrounded
by mountains and trees, the perfect place to hide out.
the lions found dens in the mountain and hid in them,
trying to wait out the storm. it was only after the first
few hours of hiding, that the pride's leader decided that
this was their new home.

Half forest, half open space, their pride land takes up a large area. A beautiful wooded forest is where they usually rest throughout the day and hunt easier things such as rabbits and small deer. A bubbling river that connects to a large lake is where many of the lion’s swim, drink and hang out. The forest and grasslands are plentiful in prey, and with no winter the lion’s have food all year round. With mostly natural coats, the lion’s in the pride blend in well to the undergrowth and dry grassland on their territory. Many different animals live there, ranging from moles to caribou to moose to beavers! Some lions swear they’ve seen other animals such as leopards and lemurs, although not many have caught a glimpse.

This pride lives inside a series of cave systems with a large mountain range that is in the middle of many different biomes. These caves are used as homes and buildings for the lions of this pride. No lions leave the caves unless they are hunters, warriors going on patrol, or given specific orders from the royal family. There are specific tunnels that exist you put into a certain bones depending on which one you choose. To the North is the Decidious Forest, to the South is the Desert, to East is beach, and to the West is a grasslands. This land has been owned by the same royal family for many generations, the newest heir sharing their same blood as the oldest founder.

This was abandoned many, many years ago. It's covered in overgrown grasses, perfect for a good hunt. It's beside a large overgrown forest with minimal lighting. There is a waterhole at the centre of the forest - the host to the growth. The weather is usually breezy - a bit too cold for most, and rain definitely isn't uncommon. This land has been untouched for so long that the only tracks are of prey - antelope, hare, large birds. Its perfect for this feline to start her pride within, after she was set outcast by her previous pride. She is alone for now. Her aim? To build a home for the outcasts to become one, to give a family to those who lack one.

The territory was stolen by the pride, they moved under the cover of darkness to chase the existing pride out of the vast expanse of territory. Many bodies of water run throughout the large area. Watering holes and rivers are frequent. Due to the nature by which the territory was obtained, there is a violent seasonal storm that strikes the territory with wicked force to punish the pride for stealing this land, often changing the landscape seasonally by flooding rivers, burning forests and splitting the ground. As a result of this, the landscape of the territory is frequently changing. The harsh nature of the territory by which the pride inhabits means only the strongest of individuals can make it their home.
