Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. All of our animals are special and deserve a chance to be happy with an owner that will care for them. The question is: are you ready to love them?

This event is focusing on giving couples in the SCS communities new homes, volunteered by their original owners and redrawn by artists in the SCS staff to give a new look! Each adopt has collars with half of a heart charm to go with their "better half" and set genders/sexes for the competition but both of these can be changed after they're won! A user can only enter for one of the two in the couples- so its required to partner up with someone!! For further rules of this event, see here!

The two she cats met on the street; Myla was walking around as usual, because she had nothing better to do, as she was again without humans to care for her and play with her. She missed her former family so much... Shaking her head, she approached the back of a butcher shop, jumping a bit when the blue and white she cat growled at her. She shuddered a bit...then realized how attractive the stranger was, and relaxed a bit, shaking herself off and offering a feline smile to the other cat female. She squeaked a bit when the stranger walked up to her and dropped a meatball in front of her, making a cat sound that was the equivalent of a giggle and nodding. She purred as she picked up the meatball and ate it, then purred again and walked up to Lika, flicking her tail up under her chin. “I’m Myla, and you’re pretty. Thank you,” she mewed.

How she looks at it later in the relationship:
Myla happily listens to her mate tell the story to their kittens in the future. “I actually kind of liked it,” Myla admits with a little giggle, looking at Lika when she licks her. She always has looked back on those times with such fondness. “I love you too, Lika. Oh come on, they’ll look like you too.” She buffs a bit when she says that, still sitting though Lika has laid down.

Growling with rage at the fact she might not be safe she turns to see a beautiful smokey black cat. ‘Wow She is beautiful but sadly she is encroaching on my food source. Meh, what’s the harm of giving out a tiny bit of my food to a cute she-cat.’ Lika smirks in her head and pads up to the other she cat and drops a meatball to her. “Hey gorgeous you want my meat- meatball- oh forget it here is some food. You’re cute I am a freaking dork can’t even talk right.” Lika’s ears and tail pivot nervously.

How She looks back at her meeting: Lika tells story of how they met to their future kits “I was so dumb with trying to be smooth.” Lika laughs licking Myla’s fur. Offering her a rabbit. “I love you Myla, our kits will be just as beautiful as you. You make me the happiest she-cat in the world!” She smiles and purrs laying beside her lover.
