The border was sent in after being found in an abandoned house, alone and afraid. After receiving the Samoyed we decided to pair them together to see if the Border Collie would warm up to us and other dogs! However things are.. stagnant? At least there is no physical fighting!

Prompt - Alaska nervously glanced at her new "roommate." He wasn't much larger than her and was staring at her quite excitedly with his one remaining eye. She looked away and curled up in a corner. He seemed friendly enough and was super cheerful for a dog who had only one eye. It made Alaska want to become friends with him. He just seemed super easy to relax around and looked approachable, but yet here she was laying in a corner all alone. She was just too scared to talk to him.

"Hey!" A friendly bark sounded behind her and she whirled her head around to be nose to nose with the fluffy white dog.

She yelped and leaped to her feet to face him. He chuckled a bit which confused Alaska. Was he laughing at her?

"Sorry, friend! I didn't mean to startle ya'." His tail wagged and his eye shined with joy.

"I-it's okay.." Alaska responded turning her gaze toward her feet. His cheerfulness was almost contagious, just seeing the friendly samoyed made Alaska want to wag her tail too, but she kept her stubborn fear. He was probably trying to trick her, she's seen this act before and didn't want to experience it all again. Just keep distance and avoid contact.

Prompt - North eyed his new friend who avoided his eye contact with all cost. Was she intimidated by his missing eye? He tilted his head curiously. She was a really pretty dog and he'd like to at least be friends with her. She seemed like she could use a friend after all! That's what the humans had said anyway.

"You seemed pretty spooked. I feel bad, is it because of my eye? Because I promise I'm not a mean dog! I've just had a stroke of bad luck here and there!" North explained quickly still wagging his tail. The quiet border collie looked up quickly with wide eyes.

"No! Your eye isn't scary at all!" She insisted. "I'm just..a loner."

North wagged his tail. That was a relief, he can work with that.

"You say that but I think you seem lonely. My name's North and I'd like to be friends!" North stared at his new friend in front of him with excited eyes. His whole body was shaking from his tail wagging. The dog in front of him just seemed to be shocked and brushed off his comment.

"I don't want to be rude so I'll introduce myself but I don't need friends. Call me Alaska."

"Alaska! What a pretty name for a pretty dog!"

Alaska again looked away from North and turned her back towards him. He sat down with a smile. "So what's your favorite thing to do?"

She waved her tail at him to signal North to go away but he stayed and asked more questions until finally, she answered.

"I liked..I like to watch the birds fly sometimes." She turned with a shy smile. North's whole body shook once more as his tail went wild and very slowly he started to get to know her.

"Gabriel is a stupid fluffy boy that has no fear of anything besides me. I'm just trying to be there for him and support him. I love him really, but i know that it would never really work between us, and that is okay. I try to be there for him and do what I can. But I know that boy fears nothing, while I tend to be the opposite.
Macey will keep her tail tucked between her back legs while around Gabriel is around, and doing her best to tiptoe around him. She can be seen licking the side of his face and head that he can't see out of causing him to snap at her occasionally out of fear, but she is always trying to take care of her friend.

"I can't help but be nervous around her. Not that I don't like her or trust her, but she tends to sneak up and constantly walk on my blind side. She does it to help me, but sometimes I forget that she is there and it sends me into a panic. I really do love Macey though, she is my best friend.
Gabriel is very outgoing for his condition and is always seen with Macey by his side, whether that is her doing or his. It would seem like the pair grew up together from the start. His can also be seen grooming her when at home, and even covering her with a blanket during thunderstorms in order to help calm her down. He is almost inseparable from her, only thing is that his boy doesn't like water and will always bark at her, almost terrified about her safety.

aaaaThe second Salqin entered the room, the atmosphere changed. "Who are you?" Boran asked guardedly. He didn't take kindly to strangers. He didn't take kindly to humans, either, not after what happened.
aaaa"I am Salqin," the samoyed said snidely. "To be your best friend 'til the end of our days," he added sarcastically.
aaaaBoran backed up. He didn't like the way the other dog acted, but not for the reason one would think. They'd only been in the same room for thirty seconds, and Salqin had already managed to annoy him.

Boran sees Salqin as more of an acquaintance than a friend. They've known each other for quite a while now, and Salqin is an expert in the art of irritating Boran. It's sort of like when two people work at the same place, but never really speak to each other. Boran accepts that Salqin is to live with him, but they don't share any actual bonds.

aaaa"If I am to live with you, we must actually communicate," Salqin ground out impatiently.
aaaaBoran rolled his eyes. "Will it kill you to shut up?"
aaaa"Yes."

Salqin was told to make Boran his friend, but Boran ended up becoming his responsibility. The samoyed believes that it's his job to keep Boran company, even when he doesn't want it. Whenever Boran has a bad idea, Salqin always mocks the border collie out of it. If you ask Boran, he doesn't enjoy the samoyed's presence, but the odd thing is that when Boran is upset, only Salqin is allowed to go anywhere near him. It's an odd idea, especially when they barely seem to know each other, but perhaps it's just a different type of friendship?
