Competition:

Orchid was born two months early. He was smaller than the average foal. He and his mother were always outside in a small paddock with short, fluffy grass and flowers. His owners did not believe he would survive due to how scrawny he was. Orchid would just run around until his thin legs could not carry him much longer. Then, he would plop down next to his favorite oak tree. He always enjoyed watching the flowers grow from small seeds into flowers.

He was about four months at the time, still not very big yet. His frail body plopped into the short grass and yellow flowers. Orchid sniffed them, ears slowly drooping to the side in relief. His owners still did not believe he would make it past weaning, and if he did, he might be only pony height. He was growing in age but not in height.

Soon he was six months old. His mother was taken with him to a stable, but then they were put in different stalls. He was confused, and he did not know what to do. Orchid nibbled at some hay and collapsed onto the soft shavings against the wooden stall wall. His eyes looked to the wall. He saw a small flower peeking out. It managed to grow out of the wood and dirt and everything in its way. Orchid since then had more will than any other foal in the stable. He grew to the bigger end of Euphorian Thoroughbred height.

Competition:
Many of the foals running about all around him would often stop to smell the roses, literally. This place that all the foals had been dumped had a sprawling garden full of beautifully scented and vibrantly colored flowers and other exotic plants. The other babies were having a ball investigating all these new and wondrous plants, some even brave enough to take a nibble to see if anything tasted any good. Parker had followed the crowd into the secluded spot, and found himself unable to leave even when the others took off running to play a new game or to find their next excited adventure. Except it wasn't just the flowers in the garden this little guy was so fascinated with.

As he was looking around, Parker found a beautiful spider, carefully weaving it's ornate web amongst the foliage. The little horse stood and watched the arachnid work, mesmerized. Eventually, he reached out his nose to sniff his tiny, eight-legged friend. His breath was far too powerful for the tiny creature, and Parker had accidentally knocked the spider out of the web it had just spent so long carefully creating. He began to panic, but was able to swiftly pull himself back together in order to save his little buddy. He gently lowered his nose and allowed the spider to crawl onto him. He then lifted his nose and allowed the spider to dismount onto a beautiful flower next to its web, and it was able to return to its silk home safely.

Each day, Parker discovered more and more new insects within the garden to observe beyond his spider pal. One insect of particular interest to Parker was some type of centipede. He spent an entire day following one around the garden, wondering how on Earth it had gotten so many legs! He was also always sure to carefully inspect the flowers for new finds. He had to be mindful to not get stung, however; he quickly learned the difference between a friendly bumble bee and an aggressive wasp.

Competition:
Ever since Marmar was brought it, he's always seemed to find quite the enjoyment in flowers. Even when it came time to play with the other foals or strut his stuff for potential adopters, he was far more concerned with stopping to smell the roses- and anything else nearby. It wasn't until he was adopted by a private farm that he began to really show his intense adoration for the local flora until it got way too far out of hand. Unable to focus on training and work, his first owner quickly gave up in favor of purchasing another Euphorian that was easier to work with.

His next owner, funnily enough, was a local florist that was looking for a companion to keep her company in the fields, as well as carry her bouquets at the Renaissance festivals she so fervently adored. In the beginning she kept a feedbag on the young colt, fearful that he would eat her flowers. She was both concerned about her exotics as well as his health, knowing some of the blooms could be poisonous if they were ingested; but no matter how hard she tried or how close an eye she kept on him, he always seemed to get out of it, but he never ate her flowers, nor even stepped outside of the grass paths between growing fields. He was always so gentle and calm around them that it amazed her.

Loves the flowers" bright colors and stunning scents, but mostly enjoys hearing the humans panic, yell at him, then proceed to play tag with him! And if they give up playing tag bc he is too fast, he can just go bother the flowers again! Wip

"You know what, one day I'm gonna find the most amazing TREASURE in these roses!"
Feather-foal was unfazed, undaunted, and most certainly unperturbed. He would keep looking FOR. EV. OR.!!!!!!!!!!
Because, you know, Cerulean, the big black colt, had found a bit of shiny human stuff in the roses!!!! So obviously, Feather-foal would find MUCH BETTER treasure! His would be SO SO SO SO SO much better!!!!

But no. Feather, now a fine young stallion with a nasty rose-trampling track record, had moved on from such foal-ish fantasies years ago. Now, he was a prized horse with proper ambitions, and a future. Considerably better than a horsewhip across the rear end, something the handlers withheld on foals. Now, he spent his days training, almost always. Occasionally, he would be shown off to the other stables, but mostly the usual; preparing himself for an upstanding career.

So far, Feather had led a mostly uneventful life, one rife with nothing but good long days of working to become an even better horse (he was already the best, so better was the next goal). That is, 'till the day he found Rose in the flowers, and fell into the deepest love one can find.
