Companion: They have a small pigeon that follows them around! The pigeon fell out of the nest and after Flush found them, the Pigeon never really went home. Flush calls the Pigeon "Babie" but gets slightly upset when someone else does so. "Babie" is very chubby and likes bringing flowers home to Flush, who makes flower crowns!

Name: Vincent 'Vince'
Companion (1 art piece or 200 words max): Vince's companion is a dark sable ferret with shiny fur and shimmering eyes. His sable markings are jet black and his fur is a deep chocolate brown color. He has pale grey-brown fluff on his feet, tummy and inner ear fluff, though it's very sparse. His name is Espresso, and he usually trots alongside Vince. He wears a little powder blue collar with a gold tag engraved with an 'E' in fancy writing.
Extra (1 art piece or 300 words max): Espresso came to Vince when an old friend could no longer keep him, Vince, being very sweet, kind hearted and an animal lover, decided to take Espresso in. The first few months with Espresso were very quiet as the ferret did not yet trust him, but over time and with lots of adventures, Espresso grew to trust and even like Vince. The two are now best friends and are virtually inseparable.

mellie has a small, scraggy dog she calls poe. after meeting him they were inseparable. one of mellie's favorite things to do is spoil poe with gifts.

poe's favorite gifts are small flowers found around mellie's neighborhood, homemade toys and knickknacks from travelling. most people find poe strange, or possibly magical in a way because of his weird collecting habits, but this doesn't' bother mellie at all. she enjoys finding things for poe, and she finds his joyful reactions to be priceless.

poe returns the gifts with endless hugs and kisses.

They live in a cave, within the deep desert. First meeting when Pino descended upon the earth sent down from the sky by a great god. The pinata Spark was the first thing the angel saw laying his eyes upon him like a spotlight in the night. Spark took Pino home and within the cave, he taught the descended one many things about life in the desert. But the angel taught Spark things too. About worlds beyond, that there is more to life than just the desert. Teaching him about the stars and planets that he had seen. Naturally, Spark wanted to know more about the things above, things Pino could not teach. So Pino promised that one day they would see the stars together, but that he had to leave now. He had accomplished his goal in the desert, to learn about this strange new place. Sending off into the night the wind whipping his fur, he walked till he could walk no more. Falling on his back he looked at the twinkling stars above.
Years later Pino returned to the desert, to the cave he once inhabited, and to Spark. His return was met with both reluctance and joy. It was a long time since they had last been together. Spark had a wife, but she was no longer with him, the desert was a harsh place. Both having no more commitments to each other they built a ship meant to travel the stars.
Looking out the window of their ship they floated together, forever.

"Turning a sprout into a tree isn't supposed to be hard. It's basic alchemy. So why does this flowerpot have legs now??" Haven grumbled, brushing her hair out of her face. The once-inanimate and still treeless flowerpot blinked at her with beady eyes, and then began to scuttle across Haven's desk on multiple pairs of spidery legs.

"No, get back here!" Haven stood up from her desk and grabbed the flowerpot-creature by its sprout which surprisingly wasn't ripped from the dirt. The thing squirmed to get free as Haven held it an arm's length away, still dangling it from the sprout, and walked it back to her desk, putting it under a glass observation dome. She sighed, and then dramatically slumped back into her chair, sleepy and glazed eyes glaring sullenly at her accidental new friend.

"What are you?" she demanded.

The flowerpot-creature didn't say a word, which was at least a small relief. It instead sat down on its base and looked up at the kalon.

Having calmed down a little, Haven chuckled. "Hey, you're kinda cute."

She could have sworn it winked.
