Parents: His mother was said to be descended from raccoons, with cheekiness and stripes to match. She was a lightish grey for her lineage, but with a mask and fluffier tail than most lions. Her eyes were a dark friendly brown but with a shining intelligence that said the humble colour shouldn't be trusted. It was this that made no lion brave enough to call her a 'trash panda'. Despite the colour difference many said Hiroka's eyes shone the same way.

His father is where most of his colouring came from, with bright blue eyes and even lighter fur. However his lineage wasn't to be scoffed at either, as his patriarchal line lead back far with court mages and trusted advisers. Once his father told Hiroka that if he ever was in danger to flee to the ocean, his eyes an indication of his infinity with water. Nevermind that Hiroka had never shone any magical talent, his intelligence shining through much more. Not to mention he hated water.
