prompt; The herbalist's eyes were pink. Thawe wasn't sure why this mattered so much to her, it was silly, really, but the herbalist's eyes matched her own. Thawe had hated her eyes growing up, they looked so much like those of her father and brother whom she despised. Her eyes were a family trait, said to be a sign of great strength and courage. Thawe, however, knew the opposite was true. Everyone in her family with these eyes were nothing but cowards.
So, when she joined this pride and saw that their one and only healer, Myrios, had nearly the same reddish-pink eyes as Thawe and her family she instantly decided she disliked the healer. Myrios, however, decided that she was gonna try her very best to make up for whatever mistake that she had made to piss Thawe off. while the intentions were good, this only annoyed Thawe more. Her hatred for her eyes only grew and grew.
It didn't make it any better that every time she saw her reflection she was reminded of the family she had long since cut off and abandoned.
One day, however, the healer seemed to have figured out the problem. Approaching Thawe, she gently sat down next to the sunbathing lioness. "It doesn't matter, you know." Thawe raised an eyebrow at her and scoffed "I have no clue what you're talking about." Myrios sighed "It doesn't matter what your family did. even if you might look like them, that doesn't mean you're still one of them. You can be whoever you want to be, Thawe. Their decisions aren't yours, and nobody is gonna punish you for anything they did." Thawe just walked away from the conversation, but from that day on she hated her eyes just a little less.
