what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: id have to say im proud of myself for somewhat putting my art out there a bit more! i still havent really done much, but the small amount that ive accomplished this year is a big step for me. ive improved, a lot, in only a few months! its a bit silly, but i used to only color bases when i was younger, but now i can! actually draw stuff! and its really fun! and even if i dont like what ive drawn, its still progress for me. ive even gotten confident enough to try out for a few art competitions!! and despite not winning, it feels... really nice.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: oh, id like to do a lot this year!! id like to finally start trying to learn coding!! im not entirely sure where to start, but i know i want to do it! i also want to get better at a lot of small, miscellaneous things, namely art, writing, and possibly even--as silly as it sounds!--singing! id also like to get a job this year, to help around the house and, admittedly, also to be able to buy things that id like more often.. and finally, id like to work with my dog more, to make him more social!! he's not great around strangers, and id love for that to change.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: my sister!! im so so proud of her omg... she got into into a specialized college for her passion, and despite her being really stressed over it, shes doing so good!! looking at her first project compared to the one she's working on now?? its so much progress in such a short amount of time!! id absolutely love for her to get more confident in her work, and to stop worrying about it so much. shes absolutely wonderful, but shes going to end up making herself sick over it, and it hurts me to see her do this to herself ;;

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
I’m extremely proud of myself because I’ve learned to better my mental health and I’ve finally found myself. I’ve finally found out who I am. I’ve found my interest, practically, I got my emotions back. After being extremely depressed for so long, going in and out of hospitals and therapy. I am proud to say that I have finally found my inner peace. It was such a long journey of being hurt and confused. But now- I feel content. I feel free, happy. And I couldn’t have asked for more. I have multiple wonderful friends online too, which means so much to me. I even have a fiancé. I can’t wait to continue living. I’m actually excited to see where life takes me. <3

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: Finding things that make me happy and cutting toxic people out of my life. I have found a love for sewing and want to have a side gig as a costume designer or to sell costumes that I make. Sewing also occupies my time in a productive manor. With the cutting toxic people out of my life I had a friend who was quite annoying, so I ghosted her. I don't have may irl friends but have found some people online that I like. I am not really great with talking to people but I think with continued hard work and dedication I can find people that really care for me.🌸

what is something you want to do in 2020?: I wanna start volunteering at this farm animal rescue. I have recently quit my other volunteer place because of lack of volunteer appreciation. I know that is not the point of volunteering and I should be in it for the animals but it was a toxic environment and they were like really weird. I not only want to volunteer at the farm to help the animals, but I have always been pretty out of shape and want to get healthier so that I do not have health problems in the long run and can feel better about my self. Also I just tend to feel better when I have something to do.🌸

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: Honestly, get her life together. All my friend does is smoke and draw. Her memory dying and she doesn't have a job. I hope she starts paying attention and actually listen. My other friend on the other hand, her brother, has I think made some great strides. He is feeling more comfortable with his body. He used to cover his arms with big baggy sweaters, he still wears them but now rolls up his sleeves when he is hot. He is also getting more comfortable around people. This may not seem like a lot but I am very proud of him and hope he continues making good strides.🌸

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: I am extremely proud of myself for applying to 2 universities before their deadlines approached by two weeks and getting accepted into 2 community colleges! The reason this is so significant for me is that it takes me a very LONG time to write anything and it isn't helped by depression slowing me down tremendously. Writing has never been my strong suit, and with the help of my boyfriend's mother, a college grad with a master's in English, I was able to submit 3 very strong essays for my 2 universities! Still waiting to hear back from one university, but, I was accepted into one already!

what is something you want to do in 2020?: One thing that I have always wanted to do for my birthday, which is in the middle of summer, is to go camping or back-packing in a cool mountainous region. For people who live in the US, I have always wanted to go back-packing in either Yellowstone, Palo Duro canyon, or somewhere in the Colorado state. I have always been an outdoors person ever since I was little; my dad would have trouble keeping me cooped up inside because I would always try to escape the house barefoot to go and play at parks, so, because of this love, this year I really would enjoy going camping for my birthday!

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019?: Both my best friend and I suffer from mental health issues, so, they were really struggling with applying to colleges or trying to figure out what they possibly would want to go to college for. When we were both working on applications at the same time, they were able to motivate themselves into being able to complete and send in 5 college applications. They were great at writing so writing the required essays wasn't a difficult task, it was just filling out all the required forms and online application requirements. At the beginning of the year, they did not believe they would ever go to college or make it into a college, but here they are, accepted into 4 out of the 5 colleges they applied for! One being their top school!

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
--> I took the leap and took part in the filming of 4 short films! I was terrified, as I struggle with anxiety and its sometimes hard for me to show my face online, but I honestly loved every second of it. I’m studying film and as a student, it was particularly great for me to be able to give my input on shot types & filming techniques. I was also able to edit the scripts and film small parts myself, which was a great privelage considering the amazing and experienced people I was working with! It was honestly so exciting and I’m so incredibly glad I didn’t turn the offer down, especially considering how apprehensive I was and how close I was to saying “no” to begin with!

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
--> Very similar to my last answer, but I’d love to actually push myself to attend a full filming experience. I’ve been talking to a friend who works on indie films & I have the chance to attend not only a full movie shoot, but also have some input into filming & script, just as I did with the short films! I’d also really like to be able to have a bigger impact on others’ lives, and I’m excited to try and raise some more money for charity this year! I’ve run some charity events, but I’d really, really love to work on some more with my free time! Spreading love is important and I don’t think I do it enough <3

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
--> I’m extremely, extremely proud of my best friend. He’s been through so much this year, and his resilience is incredible. He’s been struggling with homelessness throughout the year, with little to no support from his family- he’s come out to his friends and chosen family, struggled with his mental health- and yet, he continues to be an absolute unwavering ray of sunshine in my life. He’s honestly amazing and I can’t wait to spend as much time with him as possible. I simply hope things start to look up for him, he’s always so incredibly positive and he deserves everything he wants. He makes my life worth every minute, and I simply wish the same for him.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:

In 2019, I was able to go back to school after taking a semester off for personal/mental health reasons. This was huge for me, as it was one of the darkest times I've experienced. There were many times where I debated taking more time off or maybe even not going back at all. But college is something that I've always wanted for myself, so I was thankfully able to get the support and strength/courage I needed to go back. I'll be graduating after this next semester with a degree in journalism, and that's something that I'm super proud to say.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:

In 2020, I hope to accomplish a few things. First, I'd really love to find a journalism-related internship or job near the area where I'm moving to this year. I've already found a few options, and I'm really excited to start applying! I'd also like to spend more time with my sister/brother-in-law/niece who are moving close to the same area; before, they lived hours away and I was only able to visit a few times a year. Lastly, I'd like to spend the year committed to improving myself and my health, both mentally and physically. I hope that 2020 will be a year for new beginnings!

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:

This past year, my best friend (who graduated a year before me) has had many accomplishments! For starters, she graduated with a degree in psychology- which is quite impressive! She also landed a job almost immediately after graduating, and has been able to spend the year saving up money so that she can (hopefully) continue on with graduate school in the fall. She has made enormous strides in her own health/well-being, too, and it's been awesome to watch her grow and achieve such success! Overall, I think she's had a great year of improvement, and I hope it continues into 2020!

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: overall, becoming more independent. I was worried that I would constantly look back, unable to overcome my attachments like many others... but I found friends who made the experience all the more bearable and enjoyable, and it helped me clear the haze of nasty perceptions clouding my mind and emotions. I'm still having trouble with some things that will be slow to outgrow, but I am working on it. 2019 was a wrap-up year for me, and I'm proud to say that I ended this year with many successes. though it sometimes saddens me, I am also proud of how I was able to move on from everything I've ever known.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: in 2020, I want to continue progressing my studies and my future. hopefully, I will be able to grow more as a person and overcome some insecurities, which keep me chained to parts of my life from which I must move on. trying new things is always on the list of goals, and perhaps I will find something new that I love. I hope to expand my social horizons, as I have spent too much time being deprived of such an experience, and I no longer have the patience to wallow in my introversion. though I have found that pursing art will be difficult to balance with my studies, I would like to still devote time towards honing my hobby. furthermore, I wish my future path will be less stressful, but I know that is a bit much to ask for haha, so I'll just do my best.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: I'm proud of my friend for doing well as she can right now, but I sincerely hope that she can climb out of the quicksand she seems to be standing in. to put it vaguely, the place she chose turned out to be the wrong place for her, and if she can find a solution or change her place, things would look up for her. unfortunately, the transition will be difficult, but we will try to stay connected and find a way out together. I know that 2019 has been harsh on her. next time, maybe I'll see her smile a little bit more.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: Honestly, I'm very proud of myself for cutting quite a few toxic people out of my life. I've come to realize that if they're not accepting of my help, then that's on them - I've done all I can for them, and that's the best I could do. If they want to remain in their old, harmful ways, then that's their choice. I can't stop them from making those choices, and I do wish them the best, really; I just can't stay in the mindset of wanting to put everyone else before me. I'm proud of myself for choosing to put myself first for once, and to take care of myself.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: Something I would really love to do in 2020, as cliche and controversial to the above form as it may sound, is to find a girlfriend! I've recently come out to my friends as lesbian, and they're pretty accepting of it. I'd love to find a girlfriend not only because all my friends are in relationships and I want to do cute relationship-y stuff too, but also because I finally feel I'm at a point in my life where I'm actually ready for it. I've strayed far away from romantic relationships in the past because I just felt I wasn't ready for that sort of commitment yet, but now I'm single and ready to mingle :3

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: Does a family friend count as a friend? I certainly hope so! So I have a little story to go along with this. One thing not many people know about me is that I'm adopted. I never actually knew my real parents, and my dad drove through an actual blizzard to adopt me! My dad's wife divorced him due to creative differences, and they're not really on good terms due to his sexuality, as my dad realized he was gay shortly before divorcing his wife. So my dad has a boyfriend, and I really really want them to get married in 2020! I have high hopes for this since just the other day, his boyfriend asked me for permission to propose to my dad, so if anyone wants me to keep them updated on this wonderful scenario, just let me know!

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: Despite being extremely sick with something even my doctor has no clue what it is and having two different hospitals shirk me for a very important surgery, and being so anemic with iron levels in the extremely low range... I've managed to live with these problems and their symptoms and my recent lack of medications that have made life extremely hard to push through, and I've learned to continue on despite it all. I've managed to take care of a 1 year old mostly on my own with my boyfriend with bare minimum outside help, apply to 26 Jobs even if only one called me back (just for me to lose it 3 days later because of a doctor's appointment), try and reclaim my hobbies, put out trying to find a home even if I still haven't found one, and still managed to try and give my daughter some good holidays on top of all that.
It may not seem like a lot or even worth praise for some people, but for me even managing to take a shower when I can is something to be proud of. Because of all the stuff i have to deal with behind the scenes, even if I don't complete something, the fact that i tried is a big step.
I'm proud of accomplishing what i could in 2019, even if it wasn't much.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: This is so cliche but... Losing weight and taking better care of myself.
I've been pushing to be on this diet despite having to stay with my grandmother who thinks eating munchos instead of lays constitutes as healthy eating (i can't facepalm hard enough) and I can't buy my own groceries or pick out my own food unless I'm with my boyfriend and even then we can't ever afford to really get anything so I have to either cut corners or not eat. So mostly my goal is just... Trying my best to keep going and to find any way I can to make it better. And if I can lose weight and get back on my meds, then everything else will hopefully slowly fall into place with work and time.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: Since I don't really uh... Talk to anyone anymore because I have anxiety and its stressful having to like... Interact a lot... I mostly just have my boyfriend and daughter as my friends if that counts... I'm proud of my boyfriend for getting as far as he has in 2019 despite his mental health, proud of how much effort he puts into what he does, and just overall proud of how much more hes grown as a person. And I'm proud of Eva for the milestones she's reached, like walking and talking more, learning colors, climbing up and down off the couch, kicking a ball, running, singing, dancing, behaving at the store, brushing her teeth... Just a lot.

in 2019, i opened up and made new friends. for a long time, i haven't been able to trust new people and be around people i didn't know already, but in 2019 i let myself go and decided to try and make friends. some friends weren't the best, and i had a huge issue a few months ago that really hurt me, but if i didn't have my friends now i wouldn't have gotten through my rough spot. i made one close close friend and i love him to death, i would practically die for him. what makes things better is that i get to see him everyday, and he brightens my day up! what is something you want to do in 2020?:
my new years resolution for 2020 is to love myself and be more confident in myself. i've struggled with self image for many years, and i want to break free from that mindset. i want to get comfortable wearing what i want and what i like, and i want to be proud of it too. i want to learn to love my laugh, my quirks, and not be ashamed of my interests or talking about them. i also want to start accepting compliments more. when others compliment me, i usually shoot them down because i don't feel too well about myself. i'm going to start accepting compliments and start believing them too! what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
in 2019, my boyfriend got extremely sick, sick to the point where he had to drop out of school, and no one knew what was wrong with him. the doctors said it was possibly cancer, and we were all terrified. thankfully, he just had an extremely irritated stomach that didn't let him keep any food down, as well as his liver was messed up. he got medical help as well as he started going to therapy, and i couldn't be more proud. he's getting healthier by the day, and he's slowly healing from his past trauma, and my heart grows as i watch him heal every day.
