Even though I'm an adult I have never gotten a job before, so when I got my first ever job I was super proud ! < 3 I was able to work past all of my anxieties and put myself out there to get an interview and work retail !

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:

Finishing my second year of animation college and finding a job a week after it ended!!
My second year of animation college was great, I made it through the year with group projects and more, learning more about animate and other adobe applications which has honestly been a wonderful experience but knew I wasn't gonna be continuing in this field as a job. After the school year ended, I managed to find a job pretty quickly at a local amusement park and I've been absolutely adoring everyone and the work since I joined!! It's so lovely and I'm super excited for the new year.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:

This year I want to save up enough to visit my friends as well as potentially table at a con!!
With my new job, I'm hoping to be able to save up enough money to plan a trip to visit Mdog and Senti. It'll be a lot but I'm hoping that if I'm consistent I'll be able to make it. Along with this, I'd love to maybe table at a convention, it's been a goal to give that a go!! So, hopefully, I can start creating some art that I feel confident in and sell it to others. I don't have the biggest confidence when it comes to showing my art or making fan art so it would be nice to conquer that and create bonds with others in the art community.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:

This year I'm hoping for my little sibling to do well in their last year of highschool!
Yes, my little sibling is my friend, I absolutely adore them and I'm so proud of what they've done this year so I'm hoping they can keep this up and finish their last year of high school with flying colours!! They're looking to get into graphic design at a high ranking art school over here. So I'm hoping they can make it, I'm sure they will since they're super talented already and work so hard to develop new skills like 3D animation, that I 100% show off to everyone I know.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: I really wanted to improve on my art akill and the like in 2019, and I actually achieved my goal! I mainly wanted to study anatomy and figure out how to draw a (fairly) realistic human being, and honestly I'm glad I decided to do spend my time to do that. I now know a lot more about art than I did before and I've greatly improved my art because of it. Even though I still don't draw normal humans too often, I still like drawing them from time to time when I'm tired of doodling on classwork, taking commissions, and drawing dragons. (103)

what is something you want to do in 2020?: I have always loved to travel around. I have only been to one place outiside of the states, which was Europe. I have been planning a lot of trips around the world, and I think 2020 is the year I'll be able to go to more places! I am planning a bunch of various road trips and a few plane trips. I always hate being an obvious tourist, but this year I don't think I'll actually be able to hide it from people. However, even though I might look lame, I'll at least have a good time while doing so! (100)

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: [114 Words]
I'm proud of myself for coming out to those around me. I've been working up the nerve for months, and finally coming out has taken so much stress off of me. I no longer have to tiptoe around topics I don't want to discuss, because I finally feel like I have the right to have a say in them. Now, I can't imagine how I kept it hidden for so long, when I feel so much better being out and open about myself. Sure, a few 'friends' have left me, but in all honesty, I don't mind all that much. I feel better about myself and I feel better about those still with me.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: [101 Words]
I want to work on caring less in 2020. I care too much about what people around me think and I never give myself a chance to breathe and relax. I want to be able to think about what I want rather than what my parents or friends want from me, and I want to not give a damn about their thoughts about me. I care too much, and I just wish to change that. I don't want to stop caring, I just want to take some time for myself and think about what I desire in life rather than others.

I hope I can generally answer this, but I want my friends to be happier with their choices. I know many of them struggle with expression and how they view themselves, so I want them to find peace in how they are and how they make decisions. I don't want them to change who they are, but I want them to be a bit more confident. They deserve that, and I want them to be happier than they are with their choices. I know this is general, but I hope it's okay, because it's true. I just want them to be more confident, and I want that to make them happier.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
I was able to support my dog almost entirely on money received through art commissions, as I had to quit my job to focus on graduating. I also *did* graduate, with an advanced diploma! I had been wanting my own dog for 5 years, and I got one when i turned 17 under the promise of providing for most expenses myself. The fact I've been able to make enough off my art to do that means a lot to me, and as for school...I've always been a decent student, but senior year was rough for many reasons and I came close to almost failing a couple dual-credit classes. I'm glad i was able to pull through, even if it cost me a regular paycheck to do it.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
I want to muster up the courage to come out to my boyfriend as nonbinary. I also want to find a part time (at least) job, preferably one with an environment I enjoy, as well as get over my fear of driving and get a full license/possibly even my own car if I can come up with the funds. I've been hesitant to come out since i've been so unsure of my gender identity for YEARS, from 7th grade at least, but I can finally say with confidence I've found a label that fits me. For driving, i had a very anxiety enducing drivers ed instructor/experience, so driving has always been a source or fear for me since and I 've renewed my permit already. It expires again in february, so it's time to finally suck it up and get comfortable with it

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
I'm proud of my childhood friend Kate for going to college this year, and branching out on her own and comfortably expressing herself in the process. I love her and wish nothing but the best, I know she had goals to pick up a couple more hours at work (or find a second job) to make a certain amount, and of course I hope her classes this next year/semester are good to her! I also have two other college-going friends, irl and online, who i wish the best for as well. Both have had their fair shares of strugge the past year, and i sincerely hpe things turn up for them in 2020

this year I made a big effort to take more time to myself and seperate myself from technology and am now coming back ten times more refreshed and open. Not having any little anxieties over not having my phone in my hand at all times. Having been programmed to think of it as a safety guard by my dad when I was younger. "Use in emergency." Having my phone on me always gave me safer then leaving it behind even in situations I knew I was alright in like family gatherings or walking from class to class, so its been super freeing to be able to not have that worry.

this year I would love to focus on developing my writing and doing so for myself rather than to please others such as my teachers or friends. I would love to develop a unique style and flow that helps show my story to the audience as well as create stories I would like to see in the world myself. I would love to develop their worlds more and put the time into making characters that are relatable and show more than just the basis of a personality. I would also like to start reading some more, but thats just a little small thing to make more time for myself that I thought I'd add in here too.

this year one of my friends came out to me! I know it must have taken a lot of courage for them to do so, but I am so so so very proud of them and am super happy to be trusted by them enough for them to feel comfortable enough around me to come out and share that which is oh so personal. I hope for this year they can continue to live their authentic self and maybe build up the courage to tell their family and our other friends so that we can all start using their preferred name!! I also hope that if they do come out to their family that its one of good wishes and positive attitudes. Their family is lovely!! So I'm sure it will, but you never quiet know. what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
I improved my art a lot last year (i'm mostly reffering to offsite work, my oekaki is cursed to never be as good as other stuff i do). I've still not gotten to where i want to be with drawing people in particular but i've made a lot of improvements, especially in the last few months. I am happy that i pushed myself far out of my comfort zone with some of my work, as that helped me improve and eventually become slightly happier with my artwork. I made some experiment pages for various materials (for a college task) and i found doing that with annotations of what i did to create different marks to be helpful references for later which is probably one of the most helpful accomplishments i made that year.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
I would like to improve my art in general. I would really like to work on personal work much more often, as i often barely get to work on personal character projects. I didn't find much time to make personal projects last year and when i did have the free time i lost motivation, which is something i've continued to struggle with this year (so far). I hope to get into the habit of just making art even if i jave art block. I've realised it doesn't matter if i think what i create is bad or lacks meaning, because drawing as much as i can will help me improve even quicker than i've been improving in the past few years. I'll probably to continue to do studies to help me with drawing, although i think i will focus more on human faces, animal heads and perhaps organs more thann just drawing general anatomy and shape.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
Last year i drifted apart from old friends and made several new friends, so i don't really know enough about anyone's accomplishments. So i hope that this year art friends are able to keep improving their skills and that certain people who don't like their art as much create artwork they're proud of. Most of my art friends don't like their art much i'm also guilty of this so i hope they can get to a point where they like art the they produce. I'd love to see them more happy with the work they produce, they all make amazing artwork but many don't like what they create. For certain people i'd hope they eventually find a style they feel comfortable with and i'm happy to be with them to develop my own work alongside them.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
I'm proud that I was able to overcome one of the hardest times in my life and get to where I am today. If it hadn't been for the community on CS, the support and help from my family and friends, and me slowly getting back into making art, I would have still been in a rather dark place compared to where I am now. I'm glad to also be getting through our school year, even if I might just be hanging on, as it is really quite challenging at this point in our lives. We still have quite a ways to go, but as far as we have all come right now, I'm glad.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
This year, I have quite a few goals that I want to achieve, or at least make progress on. The first is related to school, specifically in our Research subject. It's been really rough for me and my group mates, and we've lost motivation a lot of times. I want to be able to complete our project for this year and have the workload lighten for me and all of my classmates too. I would also like to improve on my art and find a " style " I'm comfortable with- since my art at the moment is experimental, admittedly. I would also like to get back into the pet side of CS ^^ I've been rather distracted from it, and would like to start collecting pets again : )

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
I'm proud of my best friend for becoming more social last year. He's become much happier and has made a lot more friends than before. I remember when we first became close three years ago, I don't recall him talking much to anyone else but me and/or our close group of friends, and seeing him come out of his shell has been such a joy for me. This year, I'd like him to be more confident with himself, especially in regarding academics. He's always been there to support me and care for me, and I'd like to do the same for him by giving him encouragement in this sense ^^
