what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: I am proud of myself for improving my art style, I am now at a higher level and I know I can only improve. I had started out the year thinking my art was a huge mess, but I have grown to understand that it takes practice. Looking back I am glad I decided to keep trying and not give up like I sometimes wanted to do. sometimes it felt like my art was bad or not good enough to post, but I kept posting it in hopes that at least one person would like it. no one has a clue what will happen in the future, so if we don't at least try we may never know what could have happened.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: to be honest i have no clue what i want to do. it is very hard to know what I will think in the future so I guess I can't be sure. anyways if i had to pick something right now i would want to improve more with my art and work on being more open to people. on cs or discord I can talk easily as long as i know about the topic, but in real life I barely talk, i have to work up a ton of courage just to ask someone in my class a question. I only really talk if someone talks to me first. .

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: I would probably have to say that I hope my best friend will learn that she has an amazing art style and that art is not about comparing. she is great at art but she always tries to compare it to "better" artist's artwork. her drawings look great and I personally think she needs to understand that her art is not "bad" or "worse than other drawings". I just hope she can learn to love her own art for what it is. I wish i could make her understand that she is a great friend and an amazing artist, I just hope she can know that one day.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
I have a story that I've been working on for about five years now and about a year and a half ago I decided to set my sights on creating a webcomic for it. Things went really well at first; I found an easy-to-use hosting site, coded a layout using premades and my limited experience, and began making pages. But less than 10 pages in, I realized that there were so many holes in the development/worldbuilding that I needed to fill before I went any further. So I put the comic on hiatus -- have spent the past year in development -- and I'm finally ready to get back to creating pages and putting my story out there. I just got back to my apartment (where my very-non-portable-tablet is) a couple nights ago, and I'm trying to schedule my time so that I can start drawing for it again within the next week or so.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
My best friend completed a two-year certification to be a physical therapist! She graduated at the top of her class and it was a rough journey to get to the end. She never gave up, even when it would have been completely justified to take time off -- health complications, family struggles, constant battling with the financial aid office -- but she did it!! Now she's working at a medical facility in the town where she's renting living space, and things aren't exactly perfect at work either, but she really puts so much heart into everything she does and she's beginning to be able to save and really get her feet planted for her career.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
I'm proud of myself for picking myself up & putting myself on track! I failed a lot of my classes in college in 2018, almost dropped out, & was barely winning my fight against depression. I wanted to change that in 2019, so I worked hard on treating myself better, taking care of my mental health, academics, etc. I'm proud of myself for getting good grades, finding happiness, & in general getting my life together in 2019! I started a lot of things that I never thought I'd be able to, like running my own website, working for bigger companies, & being more active!

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
I want to master code in 2020. Specifically, C code. Coding was never something I was passionate or into at least, & sometimes I wonder if I chose the wrong major. I always halfassed my classes & everything. My end goal back then was to finish my projects ASAP rather than actually learn. However, I want to take every opportunity I get in life. Currently, one of my opportunities revolves around coding. I believe that a lot of good things will come if I work hard for this opportunity. So in 2020, I want to master coding by practicing & learning about it every day!

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
I'm proud of my friend for accomplishing her dreams that she deemed "too impossible" for herself! I'm so proud of her for not only achieving these goals but going above & beyond. She destroyed her academics, got a research position, & has become a CA. Along with that, she dropped her toxic friends & found people who genuinely care about her rather than tear her down. I am beyond impressed & inspired by her dedication & the hard work she puts into her goals. Sis is living her best life & I honestly love that for her. I can't wait to see what amazing things she accomplishes in 2020 :"")

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: it took me a while to think of this one, but i think it'd have to be taking the big (and scary) step to moving to arizona. it's clear across the country from my family; i've never been this far from them before, and i miss them every day. it's tough. not being able to hug my mom when i'm upset (or when she is, for that matter-- she's been through a lot) sucks. along with that, my dog is getting up there in age, my little cousins are growing up without me able to see it, and this just doesn't feel like home. but i've been working hard to get on my own two feet to start on the road to independence!

what is something you want to do in 2020?: i wanna learn to drive! kind of a scary thought because the road rage here is abundant and really dangerous (i'm talking like... people pulling guns on each other), but it's another big step toward being able to fend for myself and not having to rely on other people for everything. i can't wait until i can go places whenever i want to and not have to ask for rides. i can't wait until i can be proud of myself for accomplishing something that i've been afraid of since i was a teenager. i just can't wait until i can finally feel more like the adult that i am!

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: this one's easy! my boyfriend, the love of my life, has gone through sooo many things in his life. to call them hardships would be putting it very mildly. we're currently living with one of his abusers until we can find a place of our own; it's hard on him. but he's survived so much, continues to get up even when he wants to quit, and has been improving on what he's able to while living here. all i can wish for him in 2020 is to keep going, even if he's barely managing to crawl. i know he'll be on top of the world someday.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: i think it would have to be that i stepped out of my comfort zone and began drawing humans more !! in the past i pretty much never drew humans at all, as i would primarily only draw animals kaljsdlak, but around summer i started to warm up to drawing humans/humanoids :0 i've still got ways to go, and a few struggles to overcome (especially with anatomy y ikes), but i can definitely see the improvement from when i first began, and it's pretty neato !!

what is something you want to do in 2020?: i wanna try to go out more and be more active !! i spend a lot of my free time cooped up in my room, but i think i could definitely benefit from leaving the comfort of my own room more often aklsdjlas -- i really do hope i'm able to achieve this goal though as i'm pretty bad with keeping resolutions and all that rip, but hopefully when it warms up i'll be more motivated to go out more! :0

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: one of my closest friends irl has improved so diggity dang in a buncha things, especially in art and music !! (she's actually the one that's been giving me a buncha human anatomy tips so that's rad :0) she showed me and another friend her sketchbook a couple weeks ago, and the improvement in her art is ??? super amazing and i'm plenty proud of her !! also she's been taking lessons for piano as well and b o y has she come a long way! i'm super proud of her improvement n cant wait to see how much more she improves in 2020! 👀

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: i really took a chance and put myself out there, allowing myself to become involved in a lot of different fandoms and online communities. although i had no other friends in these communities in the beginning, i eventually found groups of people that i really care about and still talk to. they made my time in these communities worthwhile and memorable.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: i want to fully dedicate myself to art and improve my work ethic related to it. i've felt very stagnant and unwilling to draw for the last few years, but i want to truly devote myself to it if i want to perform well in the future. it has always been my dream to be an artist of some kind, and with my future finally catching up to me, i feel woefully unprepared. going into the new year, i hope i can improve my art and get myself closer to my goal.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: last year, my friend lost her dad after he had been battling cancer for a while. it was incredibly tough for her, but she is incredibly tough and has not lost her usual spirit or humor. she is truly and inspiration, and i know it must still be very difficult for her every day, but i am incredibly proud of her. she got into a really good college with a really good financial offer, and i cannot wait for her to pursue her dreams.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: i'm proud of me for growing out of my shell, more than i have in the past at least. i've become way more social and starting conversations. doing things i never thought i'd be doing or be able to do. being shy has always been a difficulty of mine, but i'm trying to get out of it and 2019 has been a big turning point.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: i want to become more social and open and more active/healthy. lately, since starting online school, i haven't been doing much and i've been cooped up in my room and my house. only doing things if i have to. eating things that aren't the healthiest. so my plans for 2020 are to start getting up and doing things, eating more healthy even if it's few, it'll be a start!

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
My proudest accomplishment this year was being able to mature up and take in my own experience and critiques and keep pushing forward. I find that even though this may seem very cliche I think it's a thing I can look back and see my 2019 self and be proud of the hits that may scar but may leave a piece to who I am today. I'm happy that im 2019 is over , although I am thankful it was there, I accomplished one of my goals in life and that was to see myself mature up mentally and learn to not repeat touching the fire.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: i'm proud of myself for really stepping up my game and deciding to start practicing on the clarinet again. i was able to make honor band just after a month of setting this goal and i'm going to perform a solo and possibly a duet for the solo & ensemble festival in april! playing makes me incredibly happy and i hope to make big accomplishments next school year as well as possibly consider pursuing a future career in music, i'd obviously have to work very hard to make it but i'm down to try my hardest and i'm definitely going to continue down my path with that same energy. (:
