what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
Im proud of myself for overcoming so many obstacles in my life in order to further my education and accomplish my goals. This year i got my GED after i was forced to drop out of school and suffered so much trauma. I finally enrolled into college in December and i start going in january!
Becoming a scientist has been a dream of mine for so many years and I finally can start the process to achieve it. I even get to take a chemistry class, one of my favorite subjects. Chemistry class was always my favorite part of the day in school. I'm thinking about getting a degree or two to get a job as a biochemist or biochemical engineer hmm. I have plenty of time to decide and expand my horizons. Im just glad i finally have a clear path to success laid out in front of me.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
Im not sure.. I guess i want to stop isolating myself and finally develop interpersonal relationships with people.. such as get a boyfriend or friends in real life.. I abandoned all my old ones..
I sometimes get lonely and want to experience things that people without my mental illnesses can.. So easily.. First I need to be able to communicate i guess. My anxiety is so bad i always draw a blank when i try to talk or just have fear that someone will hurt me so i dont try to talk at all. I have a speech impediment tooo.. I sometimes can't control the way i pronounce things unclearly.. When im nervous i have a lisp and stuff.. People don't take me seriously.. It is extremely depressing..

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?
this year was one of my most writing-heavy years in a really long time, which i suppose is something ! i know that "writing a couple thousand words every few months" probably wouldn't be considered a significant achievement for most people, but writing is something that i just... have a very hard time doing. not because i don't enjoy it or think i'm bad at it or anything; it's just really exhausting for me. unsure why, it just is ! i wrote a short story for a class that i actually kinda liked, joined a big semi-lit roleplay and, while there wasn't an explicit word count requirement, i had to kinda shoot for longer posts to keep up with everyone else, and did more writing for kalon competitions than i have previously !! i even managed to snag an event adopt with a written form which kinda blew me away? i definitely want to try and keep up the sudden writing momentum that hit me last year !!

what is something you want to do in 2020?
last year nd prior i had a really difficult time motivating myself to work on art nd... i think this is the year where i wanna stop looking at art as something to motivate myself for nd instead to discipline myself to work on regularly ! working in the art industry (or... art side of the game industry, as it was) is something that's been a dream of mine for a really long time, nd i just don't think i've pushed myself enough in the past to improve and actually work on the things that i need to work on in order to do that. i tend to play it safe too often in my work nd it's really hindered my growth. this year i wanna make some significant progress in improving my art and the best way for me to achieve that is by changing the way that i approach art - not just as something i enjoy doing, but also as something which i need to practice at often in order to get better. i also kinda have secondary goals of testing out commissions and prepping a portfolio (probably for college?) !!

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?
i'm... really proud of them for just making it through, honestly ! i know from first-hand experience that navigating high school for the first time can be really jarring and difficult - especially when your also dealing with a host of other hard things - but they made it this far nd i have very strong faith in them to make it the rest of the way. i also intend on being there for them to make sure that happens ! for 2020 i'd... really like things to just get easier for them. they went through a lot in 2020 and i think they're really strong for making it through, but i don't think they deserve that kinda struggle. this year i want things to mellow out for them, i want them to experience less bad at least, and hopefully also see a lot more good !!

For some reason, I have struggled with it and I would feel bad for not being on the same page emotionally as everyone else, and I learned that hey!! it isn’t an issue to feel things!!

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: I'm proud that I improved at drawing. I was going through a bad funk for the first part of the year and even though I was drawing every single day, I couldn't see any improvement and I felt like I was just getting worse. I kept drawing though because it's what I love to do, and tried some new things hoping to improve. Recently I looked at my art from earlier this year and realized my recent art is a lot better! It felt good to know that my efforts weren't wasted. I'm getting happier with my art as a whole and I think I should experiment even more with styles and techniques.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
I have to say that I'm really proud of my best friend for being accepted into college. Going to college is something that she had always wanted to do, but there were some roadblocks. She's going to start community college in 2020 though, and I'm so happy for her! I really hope that she will enjoy herself and do well in all of her classes. She's mostly taking science and math classes so she can be a biologist or chemist someday. They're going to be challenging but I know she can do it because she's overcome so much. If you're reading this I hope you know I believe in you ;w;

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: Let's see, I think I accomplished a lot of small things in 2019 but I think the biggest thing is just that I MADE it. It was a stressful year for me and a lot of things happened including having to move not only myself and my fiance into our first-ever place together but also essentially two other households very suddenly but I still made it. Even when I was sure that I had hit my limit and I couldn't do it anymore I managed to pull myself up and keep going and I'm so incredibly proud of myself for that. A close second thing that I'm proud of myself for is learning to love myself more and more, I've always been self-conscious but I've noticed particularly over the latter half of 2019 I began loving myself more and more. Comments like "I think I'm hilarious", "I'm my favorite person", and "I love me, I'm great" are becoming more and more common for me and it feels good, my younger self would have never said things like that but I think they'd be proud to see how far we've come in our personal journey! {194}

what is something you want to do in 2020?: Oh man, there's a lot I wanna do in 2020! But the quick things off the top of my head, I used to do a lot of photography before I lost my motivation for it, and basically everything else, but now my brother has picked it up and it's inspired me to wanna get back into it! I wanna overcome my social anxiety and get back into D&D after relentless panic attacks forced me to drop it but I also wanna overcome it to get out and make more friends in general. I love talking to people but severe anxiety and general depression always keeps me from really keeping in touch with them so this year I want to get myself in order and get out there and make those friends! This year the only thing stopping me from achieving that is me and dang it, I'm not even gonna let me stop me! {154}

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: raywood, you're my favorite person in the whole world let alone on this site, you have no idea how much you've helped me and I seriously want absolutely nothing but the very, very best for you and your family. I know you've got your back stuff going on and man I wish absolutely more than anything that I could somehow just take that from you, but I can't, so instead, I hope beyond hope that it gets better, that the good days are great and the bad days are a little easier. The future with it is pretty scary but I believe in you and I know for a fact that it'll be okay because I am willing it in existence to be okay and I will fight god on your behalf otherwise 😤🤘. I'm proud of you of still going, even when that big sad hits ya and you're sore and hurting you keep going in some way or another, you still message me to see how I'm doing and honestly sometimes it just kinda amazes me. what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
This year has been full of really big changes for me. I started this year by moving halfway across the country, getting my first job, and helping my wife buy our first car. The thing I’m most proud of is how I’ve managed to adjust to such a big change in my life. I went from barely leaving the house to working full time and going out every other night to hangout with friends and coworkers. I never would have expected for my life to improve in such a short time. Although this year went by so fast, Ill never forget the impact it made on me. tldr; I’m proud of myself for growing up and maturing into the person I am now.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
Completing my first college degree early this year in fine art, school (and higher education) has always been not only an important topic to myself but for my family. I've always tried to achieve the best grades and put all my energy into my education because of how happy/proud it made my parents. Both of my parents did not attend college for various reasons and I'm only the second person in my direct family to receive a college degree! I'm still going to school, however, this time it's only for a certificate program (in graphic design) and I hope to finish it late 2020.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
Travel to South America with my significant other (and in general travel with them). Ever since we meet and starting taking they've always been very adamant about bringing me to their family's home in Colombia. We have spent many of nights planing and daydreaming about the various things we would do or the other trips we would take: France, Japan, California, Spain, and the list goes on. I haven't been fortune in life to travel often, a lot of summer vacations were spent home while my childhood friends would come back with wild tales of their adventures in and out of the country. I think it will be a very fulfilling experience to finally explore outside the U.S with the love of my life hand in hand c:

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
My close friend had started hormone therapy late 2019 and ever since she started her road of self discovery, she stopped speaking verbally to every one on discord. I always thought her voice was lovely but she thinks otherwise and in the end it's her choice, I'm just here to support her. She talks often about how she's doing vocal exercises, singing and generally how she's feeling more comfortable with her voice. I'm excitedly waiting for the day in lovely 2020 were she feels 100% confident in her voice so she can start talking to us all again and I can hear her crack her 10/10 jokes again!
