what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
I know it’s kind of generic and cheesy, but I’ve gotten a lot better with my mental health this year and learning to do things that make me happy, regardless of what other people want to think about it. I’ve also gotten a lot better at getting things done and not completely putting everything off. Another smaller thing, I’ve gotten better at taking care of all my plants instead of constantly forgetting to water them. They’re all doing lovely and seeing how healthy they are and how much they’re growing really boosts my mood. I’m feeling a lot happier with myself overall, and am surrounding myself with things that make me feel happy as well.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:

Something I would like to get better at this year is my art. I want to really focus on it and try and genuinely improve. If I can look back at my current art that I love at the end of the year and cringe, then I know I’m doing good. I’ve got a comic I’m working on with all my kalons that I’d love to begin actually posting and making this year. I’ve been working really hard on the plot and characters, and have some really cool subplots and people that I’d love to share. It’s hard putting all my ideas together in a chronological order, but I’m making progress and can hopefully continue to do so in 2020!

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
One of my closest friends I’ve known for years has done so many great things this year! They don’t always see it, but they’re an amazing artist and a really caring person too. They’re also learning two different languages at once like it’s nothing?? They’re doing German for school and learning Italian at home alongside that since they’re moving to Italy soon and they’re making progress so fast! I’ve been in Spanish for two years and I’m terrible at it, while they’re spitting out whole sentences in Italian like it’s no big deal. I really love them and they’ve been doing amazing this year! I know sometimes they struggle to see that I’m themselves, but hopefully in 2020 they’ll finally start to notice how amazing they are.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: I'm proud of myself for going out and trying new things that went out of my comfort zone. In 2019, I joined a club. Specifically, I joined a creative writing club. This is the first club I have ever joined, but it was something I was interested in and I wanted to get better at it. I'm glad I had joined then, but this year I think I might want to join a different club. Also this past year, during the summer, I went to a camp for a whole week. This was actually my second time going to the camp (I went in 2018 also,) but I was still pretty nervous. I'm glad I went, I made a few new friends. (122 words)

what is something you want to do in 2020?: This year I'm going to try and improve my digital drawings. I've always been pretty jealous of all the great art talent I see around Chicken Smoothie, so I'm going to try and become more confident with my own drawing skills. I do have a drawing notebook where I keep my traditional drawings already, but I'm specifically focusing on my digital drawings this year. Along with this, I'm going to try and stop reading so much. Reading isn't exactly a bad thing, but I do it so much and basically I spend too much time in my bedroom reading. Right now I have about 20 books checked out from the library and I'm going to try and start a new hobby this year. (123 words)

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: This year I want my friend to be more supportive towards herself. M, as I will call her, is always calling herself 'ugly' and says all kinds of bad things about herself. I try to tell M that these are lies and that she is always beautiful and is great at drawing, but M doesn't ever believe me. She actually is a really talented artist. I hope this year she begins to believe in herself instead of always putting herself down. I'm also proud of her because she used to stay home in bed whenever she didn't feel good, but now she's trying more and more to always make it to school or if she has something scheduled. what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: I’m proud of myself for finally working up the guts to do what’s best for me! This year I moved schools, and I moved in with my mom, and my life has honestly gotten so much better. My grades have gone up, I’ve made friends who are actually kind to me, and I’ve started to step out of my comfort zone! I’ve practiced things that make me happy, and improved at them! I’ve gotten better at drawing and playing the flute, and this year I’m actually going to be in a flute trio for solo and ensemble, which is a huge step for me. Overall, I’m really proud of my accomplishments this year.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: Honestly, it may seem like a small goal, but I want to get closer to my few friends I have. I’m a relatively quiet person, but I want that to change! I want to step out of my shell a bit and maybe make new friends, I want to go out and do things with them. I really just want to open up more this year <3 I also have another thing I want to do this year! I want to get my first tattoo finally. I’ve wanted one for years, but I want this year to be the one where it actually happens! It’s a really big deal to me, and I’m very hopeful that this is the year. The tattoo I want represents my love of music, as well as how it’s helped me through a rough time in my life ^^

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: I’m going to go ahead and answer both questions here about my best friend, idyll! I’m going to be vague since I don’t think they want their private business plastered around cs but! They’re honestly an inspiration to me. They’ve been through a LOT this year, and somehow they’ve still had a good attitude and gotten so much done? It’s incredible how much positivity they give off, and how amazing of an attitude they have despite the yucky situations they’ve been in. Life gave them a pretty bad hand this year, but they still somehow always choose love and kindness. I appreciate them more than life itself, and I could not be more proud of them. As for what I want for them this year, I’m hoping more than anything for some answers. I want answers for them, and I want good health and a happy relationship for their future. They’ve been through so much, they deserve it and so much more. If you’re reading this dan, I love you and I want so much happiness and healthiness for you!! My wish for you is to not see the inside of a hospital for a very long time ):(

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:

well, I have done quite a lot in 2019! Most that I’m really happy with, so that’s pretty much a win for me! I think I’m.. most proudest of myself for finally being able to accept change. I’ve never been someone who fares well with intensely huge changes to plans, ones that completely alter things that I know in a large way: but last year (that’s 2019 now rip) I ended up stepping out of that homely, familiar comfort zone and welcomed a lot of new faces. I’ve also never been one to make friends easily- I’m really awkward?? As hard it is to believe? I get shy and nervous when I think too hard (IF U R READING THIS THOUGH you could say I seem confident BECAUSE I don’t think so hard when I’m speaking LMAOO). However in 2019 I made many friends, talked to a lot of new people, and while it was difficult to do so it was actually super nice! I’m so thankful for their willingness to put up with me LOL.

And then, another thing I’m proud of myself is taking time to work on my art style. I’ve always been a bit iffy when it comes to my art, mostly because I work with a trackpad and my style changes too often because of that and I hate it! But near to the end of the decade, I think I really am proud of how far I’ve come. If you look at 2015 doodles (most of which I’ve hidden away hehehhe) and then look at a more recent piece of mine I am at a loss for words of how far I’ve come, especially in finding a style that suits me: and that I am very proud of.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:

this year i have to do my gcses, which are really really important examinations we have to go over in our country! The sad, very unfortunate truth is, i'm really bad at studying- i'm one of those failed gifted children, and I never properly learnt how to focus or concentrate because I never really needed to in primary school LOL. SO honestly something I want to be able to do before the exams is concentration, I would like to really finally crack down and just REVISE please I’m begging you, spare a poor student. Something else I’d like to do is really simple if not simpler than the concentration gimmick- I want to do well in my exams and have good grades. As I said, I’m not really the best student being somewhat unable to focus properly, although in the past I did manage to be smart so I’d like to push myself to at least become close to one of the top scoring people. I suppose another, ‘mother thing I’d like to do in 2020 to achieve this is probably cut my connection to CS at least for a little while to convince me to revise! I know it’s early too, but I’d like to complete all owed work before I do take a hiatus, so I’m hoping to have finished business by the end of January. Then, ciao until like July!!

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:

I don't know if this will count, but I am happy and proud of my friend for trusting me to come out to me. They’ve been such a huge rock in my life, especially during a HORROR of events that happened all the way during 2019, of which I am so grateful that they could be there to help me through, so I couldn’t not talk about them. I am proud that they are embracing their newfound self, and a fond memory comes to me where they bought a grey, felt fedora, I don’t think thats relevant but it was a neat detail to mention lol. I suppose I AM proud that they are embracing themself- I remember years ago they were very shy and timid, but now they’ve crawled out of their lovely (grey, felt) shell and their quirkiness has shone through! As for in the future, they Did tell me about a special someone that they’d grown attached to- she’s really nice and likeable, and they’ve been talking for a long while. So in 2020, I wish them the best in figuring things out, and in asking out the said special person on a date!

I’d also like to mention some other friends I’m proud about, because they deserve the world:

But for real you’ve come so far on your art journey I’ve been seein your journey since 2017 and wow it’s so amazing to see you improve and improve and what you’ve got rn is LOVELY thank you for showing us your work I’m so proud of you bby!!

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: I've started taking more liberties for myself. It took me a while, but I think I'm slowly becoming the person I want to be. I'm now a proud bird owner of four budgies (which are talking very loudly rn). I've changed schools so I could get further ahead in my academics, I started learning lots of new skills like: embroidery, calligraphy, photography (I'm proudest of how much I've improved with this one), guitar, and I've started dressing in a way that makes me feel confident. I'm more open about who I am, but I still have a long, long way to go about loving myself. I've come out to several people about being bi-romantic and gained a few friends along the way but also lost many. I'm proud of myself for waking up every morning even when I didn't think it mattered.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: I want to start doing art professionally. And I need to start getting stuff done when I say I will, I'm horrible with procrastinating. I want to actually go out of my safe space and do more. Though I can't really specify right now, maybe I'll go to open fields and do photo shoots with a friend, maybe I'll go out and hang out with a group. I could meet more people, and actually talk to them instead of overthinking everything and cutting myself off from everyone. I want to be more social. I know my faults and I want to work towards fixing them, but I'm scared. No matter how much I dress confidently it all evaporates the moment I have to talk to someone. And I will work on it till I'm able to talk to someone without that lil voice in the back of my head saying, 'you're wasting their time.' 'why are you even trying? they'll just leave you.' I'm going to push through it and, hopefully, I'll be able to trust again.
So in all, my resolutions are: professional level art, less procrastination, and better social skills.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: This year a lot has happened, some good some bad but something good that I was able to accomplished this year is that I left my state without my family for the first time ! It was pretty fun and a bit scary (tho my dad texted me everyday to check up which was nice of him). On the trip I went to a type of gaming convenient with my boyfriend where we got to meet a few of our online friends and watch a tournament, it all felt so short and I hope to do it again next year but I was proud of myself since I'm pretty shy and prefer to stay at home ;v;

For 2020 I really hope that a friend of mine who is like a family to me will finally be able to start up school again. When they were in highschool some medical stuff happened and they had to drop out of school half way through junior year which was hard on my friend. A lot of stuff has happened in their family and in their life that has cause my friend to kept pushing off doing highschool classes in college for 3 years but this year is already starting to look really good and I'm going to help push them even more than the other years to start school again. So I'm really hoping that my friend can reach that goal so they have a little less stress on their shoulders.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:

I met so many people and made a lot of friends this year, which is considerably out of my comfort zone but I’m glad! They’re some of the most friendly people and I absolutely love hanging out around them! I’ve also improved a lot with art and I’m very happy with how it’s looking now and I’m excited to see what changes come next! It’s been a wild journey but I can say for once the year was a great year. Socializing isn’t the easiest task for me, but I’ve improved a lot over this year. Sure, there were bad days but I had a better year than years before.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:

For my New Years resolution, I want to get rid of a lot of bad habits that have been persistent and I haven’t addressed. I want to be able to open up to my friends and family better with issues that are going on in my life. what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:

I’m incredibly proud of my irl friend (who isn’t on CS) as they’re the best animator I know personally! Their animation is incredibly smooth to a level I cannot achieve, and they’ve improved on art a lot! I absolutely adore their characters and I love hearing them talk about their characters as they develop them. However, since they’re not in the best place right now due to a serious situation that’s arisen from time to time, I wish for their safety and happiness. I can’t wait to see how you continue animation as your passion, and develop your characters. Hang in there, and I’ll always be there for you if you need it. I hope this year treats you better, since you deserve all the care you could get. You’re strong and the bravest person I’ve met, despite the things that have hurt you. Hoping for a good year for both of us!

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
- i’m proud of myself for getting through my heavy emotions as well as taking on new responsibilities, i got a cat named figaro in may and it helped me a lot in getting through my year. i’m proud of myself for staying in school even when it got hard and my confidence began to waver and i doubted myself. i’m proud of myself for making new friends and opening up more and more to people, i use to be very shy and reserved but now i’m able to talk more easily to others that i don’t know. i’m proud of myself for getting up everyday and doing what i need to do.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
- i want to be more active and take better care of myself, allow myself to be more creative and get back into things i use to love. like reading and drawing, i’ve become absorbed into a routine of school and work and i need to let myself breathe a bit more and relax. i want to go to the beach, go on hikes, sit out in the sun and read or swim, try new food places or go on a random adventure. try to do something new every day, and start keeping a diary of what i do or keep ideas for what i want to do in a month. i also want to start eating better and cooking more now that i have the appliances i need. mainly i just want to broaden my horizon.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
I’ve always been an incredibly shy person. I never had the guts to speak out and was basically friendless all through elementary school, with the exception of my sister. Finally, this year in high school, I reached out. I attempted actually making a friend, anyone that I felt like I could trust and rely on. And I did. I made 5 wonderful friends that I’m still with. I’m so proud of myself for doing this year. I’ve also improved in my art and writing which is very exciting! Overall, I’m just proud of everything I’ve done this year! :)

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
I have felt a little off in the past year, guilty even. I myself have had many bad habits, including cussing and sneaking around, which have bothered me more than I’ve let on. My goal for 2020 is too clean myself up. I want to become a better person although. I want to help my parents around the house. I want to speak only kind words. I want to be a better friend and a better sibling. I want to become a better human being. I’m planning on helping out, volunteering at an animal shelter and cleaning up the beach. I also want to take time pursuing my interests instead of staying at home all day doing nothing. I want to go exploring in a forest or just chill watching the sky. I know that wit enough dedication, I can accomplish anything I put my mind too ^^
