Prompt: I am thankful that 2019 gave me the job I had always wanted, even if it was for a short time. I have always looked up to those that work on ropes courses, and I never thought that I'd see myself belay or even be able to consider working at camp. I stepped out of my comfort zone four years ago, and the camp director took a chance on me. In 2018, what would have been my final summer, I had been turned down for my dream job of being a ropes course manager. As 2019 started, and I began school, my schedule allowed for me to go back again - and I was welcomed with open arms to a senior ropes course position, which allowed me to grow as a person more than I ever thought possible. In three short months I learned more about myself and became more confident than ever, thanks to that position. I don't know yet if I'll be able to do it again this year, or if they'll want to give the job opportunity to someone else, but I cannot thank 2019 enough for allowing me to realize that I am more capable than I thought.

Prompt: I'm so thankful for where I ended up. I'll save you the sob story, but it's been a tough year. I was so lucky to have found an amazing group of people at the wildlife facility who helped me figure out which new direction I wanted my life to go in. And I'm so grateful to have been accepted to the college of my dreams (and I even got a scholarship!!). So yeah, it's been a scary year full of big changes, but also one of the most satisfying because I feel like I finally have a solid direction to go in ♥️
