The young dragon watched with giddy joy as light danced around her, sparkly and bright. A paw nudged carefully at the pile of odds and ends, broken glass, a few gems, and shattered bits of mirror, mindful of sharp edges, but eagerly awaiting the next unique swirl of kaleidoscopic color. She stilled, an admiring croon spilling from her maw, blue eyes wide beneath her fringe as a crystal caught the light just right, rainbows scattering every which way. Admiring the beautiful sight while she waited patiently for dusk to come.

It was dangerous to waste too much energy in the winter, but this... It was a simple joy, a simple game. It didn't demand too much of her, yet helped her remain patient until it was time to forage, time to fill her hungry belly, when the predators big enough to go after her, whould be heading back to their own dens to sleep. The little lights were so very pretty, too.

Odion's favorite game is similar to hide and seek, but with a few key differences. The other players never know they're playing, and the items they have to find are their belongings. Odi will creep up sleeping campers and take something from them, hiding it nearby so that he can quietly watch them try to find their belongings. Anytime a traveler has obviously given up on finding their belongings he takes it for his own little hoard of treasures. Occasionally he will add one of his own prizes to a hiding spot as a bit of an extra reward for when someone finds their property. Since Odi himself remains hidden and never tells people when they're playing the game, there are a lot of rumors about his patch of forest claiming that it is haunted.

Prompt: "Mothem's favorite game is the Tripping Game. Well, it's not really a game, per se, but more of a thing... y'know what, let me just explain. The first time I met Mothem, I was walking out back in the forest. It was during the summer, so all the grasses were perfectly lush and green and then I just... tripped. At first, I was so confused, because I could swear that the ground in front of me had moved but, well, the ground doesn't just move. So eventually, I realized that it wasn't the ground that had moved, but a dragon. A sorta small, medium-sized-ish dragon. But it blended into the earth so perfectly!"

"The next day, I went out again and the same exact thing happened. And then the next and the next. I guess I should've realized that each day, the dragon was moving closer to the Lair, but somehow, I never realized until the day it tripped me in my own bedroom. How it even got in there, I'll never know, though I might've left the door open. After that, the dragon left me alone for some time, though occasionally, he still shows up and trips me. I've decided to call it the Tripping Game, though what I'll never understand is how I never notice the dragon until it trips me."

Brenn is a quiet little dragon, one who rarely ever speaks. He’s certain to grow up to be the literal definition of a gentle giant- the only reason he isn’t right now is that he just isn’t that big yet. But, in line with his gentle personality, most of his games he plays are gentle and slow, and in an effort to make sure he doesn’t hurt anyone, his favorite “toy” to play with is actually his tail. He likes to gently pounce in circles while chasing it, a soft smile on his face and fully entertained. He also likes to play with other small animals, fluffing his tail for them and blinking happily as they settle into his pillow-like fluff for a nap. Perhaps these aren’t the most active of games, but he absolutely adores taking it slowly and gently, so to Brenn, these are perfect.

i just wanna say that everyone had such good forms!! after reading them all, i narrowed it down to two entries, and the reason for me being late was... because... it was honestly hard to decide which form i liked the most ;~;

so with some help, it has been decided that the winner of this dragon is Keen!!
i loved how you hinted at a bigger story in your form! to be honest, i haven't read the extra you wrote yet, so as to make judging fair, but i'll read it in a moment! >w<

MySpoons, i'd like to award you a runner up dragon!! i loved the idea of her being a local cryptid so much, and it's really well-written in my opinion! ^^
