Despite being guardians and soldiers many of the lions in the Dreamcatchers like to act like a bunch of playful cubs. Only a few would pass up the opportunity to build a snowman.
Moe and Turu would be the only ones knowing what they’re doing, since they come from a climate where snow was frequent. They would make the most beautiful snow sculptures and would act as guides for the others and teach them what to do, since most of them have either never seen snow before or have only seen it a few times in their lives.
The others would try and probably fail many times before building something more than just shapeless piles of snow, but they would have fun anyway. The one to be the best in the end would be Akumu. She’s ambitious and would want to be the best even in something as simple as building a snowman and even if she was the only one seeing it as a competition.
Winter wasn’t so bad, at least not usually. It was just colder than every other season. Phetho didn’t like cold, but it was easier to deal with than the rains of autumn. But this year was awful. An abundance of snow covered every piece of land in sight. And under the snow was slippery ice. It also hung from trees as icicles and cold, wet droplets sometimes fell off of them.
All other lions were thrilled. They have never seen snow before and were playing around in it like a bunch of cubs. First of all, it was undignified behaviour for guardians of the realms, but also, what was the big deal anyway? Snow was just water. Sure, it was necessary to drink to survive, but they shouldn’t be so happy there’s so much of it it could flood the whole place. It has, really, just in it’s non liquid form.
Phetho could easily deal with heat thanks to his special ability. He tried using it to heat up and get rid of the snow, but it backfired. Extremely quickly melting snow turned into wet mist, covering him completely. After this failure, he did not try again. He preferred to stay hidden in a warm place avoiding the horrible white substance.

E40:Unique Traditions
The Safiri pride has another unique tradition of Planting Peppermint seeds to grow candy canes. It all started when a young cub had found peppermint seeds and was trying to plant them to grow candy canes for other pride members. So the Pride members joking got in and made it a tradition that other prides find kinda stupid. The first weekend of winter the pride will lay down the plants so it can grow and thrive. They tell tales to the cubs to get them excited for the Midwinter Yule and for the peppermint treats that will be made. After that tradition Ayubu will collect the leftover peppermint and utilize it for medicine and poultices. So it is a win-win situation and the peppermint plant doesn’t go to waste and rot in the ground.Even the little cubs help Ayubu to pick up the extra plants in the ground and divide up the roots from the stems.
