Kera wrote:Let's start with covers... since we're using Oekaki, we can't simply have text with your pods name! You need some art.
Hmm, you say you're no good at art? Well, I doubt that! I'm sure you're amazing. However, if you really don't want to do your cover you can always have an artist do it... You might have to pay them, though!
I'm sure you'll do fine on your own as well! I mean, out cover isn't all that fancy, but it gets the job done! And, the coolest part is as the artist grows, they can edit and make the cover better! Your cover definitely doesn't have to stay the same.
Ours is simple... blue with some shading, the name of our pod (not required, but definitely appreciated) and a little doodle of, well, me! The founder!
Kera wrote:And, it doesn't have to just be an ocean. In fact, you don't have to include humans or mermaids anywhere on your cover, if you don't want to! Maybe draw the Pod's companion. Or... a shark!
Or even a couple jellyfish!
Maybe a boat in the distance...
Ooo! You could draw your founder, and then add on to your cover each time you get a new mermaid, so you end up with a Pod Portrait!
Kera wrote:Hmm, circling back to having other artists make your cover, you'll have to post underneath with your pod information, and make sure you're added to their drawing so you can add your mermaids!
This will essentially serve as your storage thread, but since you're developing each mermaid, it's a little different.
In your main post, weather it be under your cover or a response to the artist's cover, you will need to have a few things!
- Links to each mermaid you have in your pod
- Overall pod development (which can count to your 500 words per mermaid quota!)
Overall pod development simply means pod description, pod traditions, pod mannerisms, and other such relevant information to your pod
- Any other information you would consider relevant.
