Dear diary,

Today, I saw pink.

It wasn't just the cheap, shaved eraser on my desk or the chewing gum Bill stuck on
Kia's hair today; it was a perfume scent of budding roses on a blissful spring day, or
the flutter of butterflies pacing in my stomach. It was a shade of blushing cheeks,
probably like this pen. Somehow I saw it around the room, in some floor tiles,
on book covers, on papers pinned to the cork board. It was also around her: the color
of her desk, her chair, her bag, her smile...

...her?

wait, what?

not going to think about it, no-- you know what else shares the same color? it's the
color of the teacher's chalk when she throws it across the classroom to awaken John
seated at the back. it's the color of the poor worm i stepped on today when i walked
from home. it's the color of my dog's tongue when he licks my face, or of the heart-
shaped lollipops i saw at the cafeteria this lunch.

...i should stop talking about this color or else i'm going to see it more. what does
"seeing pink" even mean? why do i need to know?
maybe i'll write a mantra down a lot of times. repeat until true, as they say.

Today was a rather strange day... First I overslept, then I nearly forgot my bag at home.
But luckily I wasn't alone in the late walk to school as I got to walk with my best friend Kimi.

Unfortunately, once we reached school, I was in such a rush that I accidentally bumped into the mean girls at my school and got what felt like an hours worth lecture on how to watch where I'm going even though it only took about five minutes. Then I made a few mistakes during class but I didn't let get to me, after all I can't possibly know everything what would be the point in going to school lol.

But what made things worse was during lunch I was in the cafeteria with Kimi enjoying my lunch when Brady the cutest boy at school walked in. On most occasions I would keep my cool but this particular time was just horrible. Right, when I was drinking a mouth full of grape juice he actually stopped and said hi to me! But with my mouth being full I couldn't really answer so he decided to make a lighthearted joke which was all good and all but unfortunately I laughed so hard that grape juice to shot out of my nose soaking Brady and destroying my dignity. I just had to get out of there and before I could think I had gotten to my feet in tears as I rushed out of the cafeteria.

I felt so stupid, how could I make such a fool of myself in front of Brady like that... I just felt like such a moron, I couldn't believe that I was having the worse day of my life. But then something funny and strange happened as I sat crying a small tissue fell on my head and as I looked up I saw Brady with Kimi and many other of my classmates all with smiles as they looked at me. And slowly Brady bent down with a small tissue in his paws and with kind eye he slowly dabbed my tears away before helping me up.

I learned that I'm not the only one who makes many mistakes in one day.
As we spent the rest of our lunch sharing stories about the many goofy things we did. Making my worse day into a pretty good day.

My dearest Morrigan,

I'm rushed for time so i'll make this quick. Iv'e found the stone. The one your mother has been searching for her whole life. I knew the lead I had back in Ainthon was solid, I just had to see it through til the end. I'm worried I won't make it back to you in one piece...I'm being followed. Iv'e known for a few days now, and somehow Iv'e managed to stay out of their grasps for now. Maybe they are hoping i'll show them how to work the stone properly. But don't worry, that secret will live and die with me...if it comes to that. I'm not giving up yet, not even close. I will try my hardest to reach you back in Lindas...but just in case that doesn't happen i'm writing this passage for you before moving on again. I know how smart you are, you'll find it if I don't return. The rest of my journal is boring every day entries, to throw off any prying eyes. However there is a secret message intended for you and only you. May you find peace knowing your mother did not die looking for a myth.
