Mousekit bounded through the snow, making a trail behind her as she jumped out of and into the snow, moving at a snails pace to get to the sky watcher’s den. The small blue kit wanting nothing more than to sit in the warm den with others and help sort through plants. The various shades and shapes of green filled her with more joy than playing with moss balls, and prey. She wanted nothing more than to sniff at delicious and gross smelling herbs. But as for now, she got to enjoy her time making a trail that would soon disappear with the full names walking around the camp later.

Mistpaw's a strange one all right. His favorite thing to do in the winter is.. climbing trees? Whenever it snows he goes out into the woods and climbs some trees. Oh, but that's not all. He enjoys sliding down the trunk and landing headfirst into the snow.

Prompt:

"Hey! Where are you going?!" The cry of his mentor was lost in the whirl of excitement in Yuki's mind. He couldn't hear anything but his own thoughts. Finally! He was free! Training was over, and he go play in the snow! Yuki was on a mission, and he wasn't going to stop running until he reached his perfect spot.

Small paws kicked up the snow, sending it flying back into his mentor's face, causing the older cat to sputter. "Stop running, Yuki!" The only response from the young cat was a bit of laughter, his eyes alight with the arrival of the snow.

Yuki's destination wasn't too far from the training hollow, though his breath came in short huffs as he looked upon the scenery. A snowy hill. It was perfect, untouched, sleek snow on the ground. But not for long.

Letting out a squeal of happiness, Yuki tucked his legs away from his belly, lying down on the snow. With one powerful push, he was sliding down the snowy hill with ease, another cry of laughter escaping his lips. As he ran back up the hill, he noticed the baffled expression of his mentor.

"I call it sliding," Yuki said, turning his back to his mentor to slide down the hill again. He might not have any friends his age to share his wonderful bit of fun in the snow, but maybe he'd be able to convince his mentor to slide down with him one day... For now, he was happy to have this simple bit of fun.

Prompt: "Dig, must dig." Slatepaw furiously dug at the ground that was now covered in a strange, cold substance. He had never seen such a mystifying thing like this before.

"Where is the ground?!" He wailed, scared that any moment the white stuff could fall and there would be nothing under it. He had to find the ground again. He had to make sure that he and everyone he loved was safe from this evil stuff. He was so fixated on the foreign covering that he didn't realise his friend who had snuck up on him to see how he was doing.

"Slatepaw... What are you doing?" Thunderpaw cocked his head curiously at the younger tom.

"No time to talk. I'm digging to protect all of us!" He didn't stop to look at thunderpaw, he seemed too invested in digging. Thunderpaw shook his head and decided to leave slatepaw to it. Whatever it was, he didn't want to be a part of it.
He trudged off, leaving the grey tom to do his own thing.

Slatepaw just shrugged, he didn't get why thunderpaw was such in a bad mood when all he wanted to do was protect everyone else from harm. Regardless, his main focus was still to dig and protect everyone. He had to.

It took slatepaw quite a while, but he eventually found the ground again, but now his paws were cold. He thought that maybe rolling in the stuff could help a bit. He tumbled, falling down a small hill. He decided that it could be a good idea to try again, so he found an even bigger hill and decided to tumble down that.

"Hey... This is kinda fun!" Slatepaw giggled, rolling around in the snow. Maybe he could get used to this icy stuff after all. (300 words exactly)

Prompt:

Flurrypaw's favorite part of a fresh snowfall is packing the outside of the dens! Being right on the cliffs, where the wind and freezing sea spray blows in, there isn't much time for fun for those able bodied. Even while the cats move deeper into the dens, a snow wall has to be put up with only the tiniest of entrances, to keep vulnerable cats warm.

But Flurrypaw finds a way to make it fun. Since the sea spray will freeze upon contact with the snow, she sculpts tiny figures into the walls, poorly depicted portraits of those who live inside. Every depiction has an overstated feature. Such as Minnowstar's tiny size, or Honeyclaw's fat butt. Even Ospreystone gets giant exaggerated angry eyebrows. When the spray settles over the snow, the portraits are stuck there until the thaw. She'll gladly do this every time, for it not only protects her clan, but it makes her and the other cats of the clan smile!
