cedarfang tries her best to seem like a respectful and grown leader- afterall, if she didn't the clan could very well decide on a new leader at any point. Because of her attitude towards her role as a leader and a companion to her clanmates, she finds it hard to relax enough to play in the snow. However, once every now and then, a batch of kittens is just old enough to play-- and she goes nuts for it. She can't help but let out her playful side when kittens ask her to play badger or just wiggle around in the snow. She has countless memories with many batches of kittens and young apprentices from winter shenanigans, each one is incredibly important to her. And-- if anyone asks or jeers at her-- she can always say it's just a clan bonding exercise .

Prompt: Bullstar isn't the biggest fan of the snow. With his large size and thick fur, it's hard to jump and run through the snow with ease without being weighed down. Not only does he hate playing in the snow, he just hates the cold overall and much prefers rain to snow. [51 words]

Prompt:
During the winter Duskclan, being compromised mostly of old house pets or loners, has an abundance of activities to cheer each other up and keep their minds off the cold. Some are fun; like sliding around on top of the lake found on their territory. Some are practical; like learning how to pick at the ice on the river side and fish for anything still alive in there. On particularly cold or stormy days, elders might gather up the young warriors and tell stories about past winters (which the clan celebrates all winter-- as long as there's snow, there's some sort of fun to be had). Its mostly just a mishmash of groups of cats having fun together and messing around a bunch, cedarfang doesn't normally complain about any of it so it's all fun and games.

Clan: Roseclan
Prompt: during the winter season the ground it completely frozen and since the cats of roseclan live in underground tunnels this means they get a break from expanding their dens and pathways. Although this also means all of the food not caught fresh are frozen. Luckily for them snowbird came up with the brilliant idea of putting the prey between two cats. This warms up the prey so that they may eat and makes for good conversations. If they are not out hunting or patrolling, the cats of roseclan can be found snuggled together in their shared community den, or above ground playing with kits in the snow.

Clan: Quarryclan

Prompt: Each year on the first snow fall, Flintstar calls for a clan meeting early in the morning. " May all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here under the high-stump for a clan meeting. " Flintstar stood high on the stump as cats gathered beneath him with excited expressions. " I'm proud to announce that this sun-rise has brought the first snow fall of leaf-bare. While other clans may be grieving this day due to the prey disappearing or the oncoming of green-cough, we make the most of this fine day! " The clan cats cheered. " I will announce what we will be doing for any new comers. Each year, on the first snow fall, the whole clan, including kits, go out, survey the forest and admire the beautiful white flakes the trees have been dipped in. All warriors get the day off of their duties. At the end, we all eat together around the high-stump. " The cats listened closely as their leader spoke of the wondrous that were to come this day. " That being said, let's get started! " The cats cheered once more as Flintstar hopped off the high-stump to mingle with his clan mates.

Prompt:
since duskclan is a clan built on loners and kittypets, it wouldn't surprise anyone that they also collect a few human things. usually, cedarfang will take plushies or shirts or whatever that might be found and hide them in her den for the year. but, when winter arrives, she carefully picks out each item and stuffs nests with small pieces of clothing or parts of plush animals. if something is too big, like a towel or a winter jacket- she usually lines a den with it. the elder's and queens usually get the fluffier things that help block out the wind, while some items are specifically given to the more medicine knowledge-able cats like bottles to hold fresh water or whatever for the season. apprentices and warriors typically are gifted the items that the other two groups might not know what to do with- be it a toothbrush that they could use to get burrs out of their fur if they don't wish to waste anyone's time, or just random things to scratch since it's a little cold and they might not wanna leave their den to sharpen their claws. cedarfang has a very good eye for dangerous items and always disposes of them back at the road before anyone can get hurt. though the camp might look like a pile of trash for a little while, it helps keep everyone warm so it's a sacrifice they all make.

Clan: Valleyclan
Prompt:
Winter is by far the harshest season for Valleyclan. To keep their spirits high, cats will often decorate their nests and dens with things that they find within their territory. Some of these are more helpful and will be used to make cats feel warmer and more comfortable. This included lining and stuffing their nests with soft feathers, along with tufts of squirrel and rabbit fur. Others are there solely to give Valleyclan's camp a cozy, more welcoming feel. Dens will be lined with prettier decor, such as pinecones, bright-colored flowers, and interesting-looking leaves. It isn't easy to find these things, however, as most of the territory is already covered in a thick layer of snow. Because of this, many of the younger cats will compete against one another to see which one can find the best, showiest things to adorn their dens with. All of it is just a friendly competition, as well as a good way for them to distract themselves from the cold weather and scarce resources.

The festive spirit doesn’t always come naturally to a clan of cats but when the majority of your warriors are former kitty pets, the twoleg traditions tend to hang on for a little while. This includes the yearly tradition of decorating for the winter season, bringing a light hearted tone to the merciless cold leaf-dare. Cats indulge in wreath making during their time away from patrols, orchestrated by Clouded dreams who uses her expertise in herbs to help plan out the prettiest decor. The flowers from the beautiful spring and summer have transformed in green flower less stems waiting for their time to drift away but instead they are whisked away by warriors hoping to bring them a new life within their winter cheer. Wreaths constantly of beautiful plants cover the frame of the dying flowers and are hung all of the twoleg-made gazebo which they call home.

Even the kits seem to get along in the festive time of year, usually creating beautiful snow warriors around camp with their apprentice friends. Frosty warriors guard the camp entrances and are devoted with holly leaves and beautiful white berries in their snowy coat. It’s the best a colony of feral cats can achieve but it defiantly brings a holly jolly spirit into the clan. [213 words]
