Pet peeve: Amirta always tended to dislike scraping noises of any sort such as her own claws against the sidewalk, hard objects rubbing against a wall, or metal rubbing together. It always drove her absolutely bonkers, especially when her owners had gotten children. The tiny things would run around making noises and scraping things together as though they were trying to bother her. She was always good at keeping her calm despite how much the sound would annoy her, simply walking away from the situation if possible.

Ikemba despises when he has to suffer through a night patrol of Gaia and Issy's digs at one another. They will argue all the time. Over anything. For any reason.

The herd went a little too far east? They argue about who led them out that far, even though the triad never breaks up during the night.

They smell a skulk of jackals on the wind? They argue about how big the group might be.

The night's colder than it should be? They argue about who's fault that might be. Doesn't matter if no dog can control the weather.

They will argue. And jibe. And jab. And Ikemba has to sit through their squabbles. He prays for busier nights nowadays, because then at least they're too preoccupied to even speak. He hates the quiet nights, because that just gives them the excuse.

Not that he hates the zebra herd enough to wish for danger, or anything! The lead mare is a sweetheart to him on the worst of days, honestly. He loved seeing her gorgeous foal come into the world. A true paragon of poise and motherly warmth.

Now if only Gaia could actually reflect her name on these nights like the lead mare, that'd be swell.

And if only Issy would stop baiting her, too.

Pet peeve: when anyone, humans especially, bite their nails. The noise alone drives him mad (then again, what doesn't?), let alone, who knows where those hands have been! The harsh "crunch!" of a nail being bitten will often throw Jacques into a fit, with the popping of joints a very close second. He often finds himself snarling at the nail-biting culprit, and trying to move out of earshot from the uncomfortable noise. He himself used to bite at his nails as a nervous tendency, but now that he has broken the habit, finds it repulsive. It's safe to say, do NOT bite your nails near Jacques. You will only be met with aggression.
