Hey there! I know I'm new to town and all, but I was wondering if you could help me? I've gotten myself a bit lost, and I'm trying to find a place to stay. Could you tell me about a place in town where I could spend the night?

Good day to you, sir! Welcome, just in time for the holidays, too.

If you're looking for a place that isn't too busy but you'll get good service, head on down to the Ox and Farm General Store-- I know, you said you're looking for a place to stay. Hear me out.

The General Store is owned by this no-nonsense lady, Elise. She's getting along in age but she's got a few spare rooms she rents out on the second floor. It's not a popular place, but if you're looking for privacy she's got it! She'll tell you to make to you keep to yourself and keep quiet-- but she's practically deaf so as long as you're not throwing a party in your room, you're fine.

The morning shoppers will wake you up, though... but then why'd you come during such a busy time if you're not going to join in?

"Welcome to Meld, it's so good to see a new face finally reaching our city.

The festivities are just beginning, so many of the more lavish establishments are full, sadly.
There are a few down near the southern end of town, however!
I highly recommend seeing if there are reservations in the Dorseux Tavern.

It looks a bit run-down, but I promise looks are deceiving, friend. The food served is enchanting!
And the beds are comfortable, the rooms so cozy... ah, I remember my first visit to Meld.
Anyway, if you follow the main streets, take a left when you hit the Buggler Tavern and just follow that sidestreet.
It's not hard to miss, the sign above is rather colorful and has an Amphithere wearing a nightshirt.

Let Gerisk know that Melron sent you, he'll give you a good deal for your stay.

A place to stay in Meld:

Completely made of stone to try to prevent certain guests from reducing it to cinders, the Faded Dragon Tavern and Inn sits at the edge of town. Even indoors, very few components are made of wood, since the tavern owner had experienced first-hand the perils of aged, dry wood combined with dragon guests. The large front door is the only wood to be seen, other than the large beams that line the ceiling (these are theoretically out of reach of guests). The comfort of patrons is not ignored though, as rugs and pillows adorn the floor and stone seats. In case of fire, these are more easily replaced than the entire inn. The stone staircase on the left leads up to fifteen comfortable rooms that may be rented for a night. Inside of each of them are accommodations for not only people, but also their dragon companions. You may rent a room with different sized dragons in mind, from the very small to the can-just-fit-through-the-doorway sized dragons. In each room also exists a new invention of the innkeeper: piping lining the ceiling that can be activated with a pull chain to release a long spray of water, just in case…
