Why do they wear bells?: Ayris wears bells while she runs across the arctic, kicking up snow and slipping on ice. She enjoys the jingle jangle of them- its her favorite music.

Why do they wear bells?: Brianna is mute and relies on expressions, sign language and her bells as a way to communicate. They move when she does, letting others know that she is speaking, behind them or even if she needs something, plus she really likes the way that the bells look! Having always had an eye for anything that glitters, sparkles or shines, Brianna now collects bells similar to the ones that she wears.

Why do they wear bells?: Hadley carries herself with poise and grace; and almost likes to make herself seem like an ethereal presence. When she moves, the sound of the bell makes her feel as if she is a fairy, as it almost acts as a background music to her actions. The bell alerts those around her that she is there - and that she is a very prominent and charismatic character who is not keen on fading into the background, she enjoys being noticed.

Why do they wear bells?: It is a tradition in her family circle to wear bells somewhere on their body. The bells are both an heirloom and a family symbol; the bells have been passed on for generations and it is said that if you are a wearer of said bells, you are of a higher or more prestigious family. This saying is but a rumor and not always true. Kora, for example, comes from a piece of her family that does not "have it all", so to speak. However, she is still highly respected as her ancestors were.

Why do they wear bells?:

A mage who lives in blinding conditions where she easily blends into her surroundings due to its extreme conditions and low visibility, the sounds of her bells is often the only way she can be found. Because of the harsh surroundings that she lives in, passing travelers often get trapped in an endless blizzard in which she is unable to see them and can only hear them, her bells also serve as a way to lure them out of the eternal storm into a safer area in hopes that they make it out alive. While nearly none of those travelers have actually seen her in person, they regard her in a very high favor as a guardian that protects travelers from storms.

Why do they wear bells?: trix was infected with leprosy early on in her life. due to medical advancments, however, she survived. she came from a jewish family, many who died of leprosy during Jesus times. before they passed, they were required to carry a "leper bell" that they would ring when they were out so everyone would avoid them. albeit healed, trix was left with physical scars, most entirely on her neck. she covered them up with a scarf. due to her heritage, she decided to wear bells on her tail as a rememberance of her family members.

Why do they wear bells?: Vallem is a superstitious and very skittish Kirix, so he wears the bells to ward off ghosts and malicious spirits. He started wearing them as a child to give his frightened mother peace of mind but soon felt dependent on them for safety. He can’t go anywhere without them and feels extreme forms of anxiety when he can’t hear himself jingling down the road. Is he anxious from spirits or just his mind? As long as he has his precious bells, he doesn’t care.

Why do they wear bells?:
Genjin wears the bells because they have a blind younger sibling Xhiva. As they both grew older their sibling went completely blind and found it increasingly difficult to navigate and kept getting helplessly lost, Xhiva also got very depressed as they could not play or interact with the other Kirix. So, Genjin came up with a plan to use different toned bells to help their sibling associate between Kirix within their family group and to help them navigate, it also allowed for them to play and enhance their sibling's hearing to the point where they could almost navigate by themselves. That and they always served as a reassurance that they were never alone and Genjin was always there for them. (120 words)
