Story: His eyes glowed brightly in the vast stretch of darkness as he prowled down the path, gnarled tree branches reaching out as if they would grab him at any second. He could barely see and suspicious sounds filled the air around him, but he kept a smirk on his face, knowing what excitement the night would later hold. As he walked further, the low hum of music cut through the sounds of creeping creatures and his grin grew wider. He picked up his pace, the music starting to drum loudly in his ears. He burst into the clearing and heads turned towards the bright lion. A few smiled nervously in return, while others turned back to their friends and muttered condescending words and rumors, but Aro didn't mind them. He had been waiting impatiently for this party ever since he got the invitation. He made his way towards his friend Kaiju, softly nodding his head along to the blaring music. "Oh hey, you made it. Rad." Kaiju barely cracked a smile, but that was per usual. "I wouldn't miss this for the world! I can't believe I actually got invited to something." Aro took in the scenery around him, not registering that Kaiju had mumbled "I honestly can't believe it either." There were neon fairy lights of all different colors wrapped up around the trees and hanging overhead, a long table completely covered in snacks and drinks, and so many sparkling decorations. What really caught his eye though was the glittering disco ball hanging from one of the many wild tree branches. He absentmindedly drifted towards it, forgetting about Kaiju. In his fascination, he walked straight into the snack table and with that food and drinks flew everywhere. A few grumbles could be heard by those splashed by the punch. And almost as if right on cue, a loud snap echoed through the clearing and the disco ball came crashing onto the ground and the music stopped. The clearing was quiet... Aro stared at the disco ball with disappointment before looking around as whispers began to fill the silence. "I knew he shouldn't have come." Someone hissed. "Yeah, nothing good happens when he's around." Another chimed in. And another. And then another. Aro froze for a second, before regaining his composure and strutting out of the clearing and back onto the path, a forced smug expression on his face. He knew it had to have just been a coincidence and it wasn't really him, but he thought it was best to play it off. His eyes watered slightly as he walked home, dejected thoughts filling his head.
