Juniper obtained this necklace from her father who was also a nature spirit. He used his power to install the flower with eternal life, so that it would never wither.

“I have something for you.” Juniper turned to her father, attentive. He took his daughter’s paw and laid a small object in it.

“I want you keep this safe for me. Can you do that?” Juniper nodded

“Good girl. I have to go now.” He leaned forward and kissed her forehead. “I love you.” He whispered.

And then he was gone.

Juniper looked down at the object in her grasp. A delicate flower lay in her palm, strung on a vine.

Tears in her eyes, Juniper spoke.

“Thank you.”
