As you make your way through the night, you're drawn towards a place brightly lit by a campfire.
There are many cats from various clans surrounding it. You see some scared, but also excited faces. One of them, a shorthair dark tom, immediately stands up to greet you.
"Come and join us by the fire. I've saved you a spot."
He winks. Even though you've never met before, he welcomes you like a dear friend
and you can feel that he's genuinely happy to see you.
He sits down by the flames and waits for you to join him.
"My name is Bonafide. It's good to meet you.
No fireside gathering will be complete without some spooky tales.
I will reward you if you share one with me."
His eyes narrow and white fangs flash in a wide grin.
"Or are you too afraid?"

Story: " One spooky night, uh... " Flintstar looked around and pointed at Bonafide. " You! One spooky night, Bonafide wondered into the forest. He saw something moving in the corner of his eye. Something was moving swiftly across the forest floor. It was a spooky ghost! He screeches and runs into the forest. ZOINKS He cries. He runs into the deepest area of the forest, where no cats go under any circumstances. It's filled with dark forest cats, and spoooooky ghosts! But now Starclan or Dark forest cats, Twoleg ghosts! He ran off into the forest, never to be seen again. Until he walked out of the woods a few seconds ago. " All the cats backed away from Bonafide. " This is made up. " He admitted. All the cats screamed and ran. Bonafide walks over to Flintstar. " Thhhhhanks. " He says sarcastically. He follows behind the other cats, and at the fire was left a lonely Flintstar.

Story: The "End" Of The World
Brakenstar: "Both Cowpelt and I were kits when this happened, so we are going to do our best to tell the story as accurately as possible."
Cowpelt: "Before Pineclan was Pineclan, the cats that lived in our cave for generations were known as 'Cave Cats'. Brakenstar is the founder of Pineclan so he has changed a lot for our clan, but enough of the history. Heres the story:"
Brakenstar "Before the time of Pineclan, while I was a kit, there were 3 leaders who all consulted with Starclan thru someone they called "Moonteller"
Cowpelt: "The legend of Moonteller was that he was 10,000 moons old and never died because he was half starclan and half clanless."
Brakenstar: "Anyways, I remember when both Cowpelt and I were kits he predicted the end of the world, he told the 3 leaders that one day soon in the middle of the day the sun would disappear from the sky and everything would go dark and everything on earth would die, because the sun couldn't grow plants."
Cowpelt: "As you can imagine this caused chaos among the Cave Cats, especially being a kit, other cats would try and hide their fear from us but it was very obvious that something was going on."
Brakenstar: "Many moons passed and the Cave Cats were trying to speak to starclan trying to find a way to stop this but Moonteller had disappeared completely. Much arguing happened between the 3 leaders as they did not know what to do, one argued that they should be collecting food and herbs and then completely close off our cave home, while another argued that starclan would fight the dead sun and bring it back."
Cowpelt: "This arguing went on back and fourth for moons, by the time that the dead sun was coming Brakenstar and I were apprentices or then trainees. One day Brakenstar and I were out hunting with out mentors when we stumbled across a cave drawing, done many moons ago. It was crazy because it had looked like the sun was being covered up by a dark circle or cloud."
Brakenstar: "Neither of us understood what we had found, but we thought it might have something to do with the dead sun. We immediately went back and told the 3 leaders, but they were convinced that this was something completely different."
Cowpelt: "Maybe 3 days after this happened all of the cave cats abandoned the cave in search of somewhere they could survive the dead sun when suddenly the sky went dark. We saw a spooky round object cover the sun and panic ensued. Cats were running around, arguing with each other, an all out war broke out between the Cave Cats, but only for a few minutes because soon the sun showed thru again and the dark circle was gone.
Brakenstar: "We now know that what had really happened was the moon covered the sun, twolegs call this an 'eclipse.' After the eclipse the three leaders were able to locate Moonteller and he said that he had misunderstood starclans signs. after that they Cave Cats never relied on Moonteller again and the legend is, hes still out there."

Story:
Tigerwhisker came running into camp, panting hard, fur bristling. He hurried to the nursery where his mate was sitting with their two kits.

"Sunnycloud, you'll never believe what I saw while I was out there! There was a huge cat, a monster cat! It's teeth were each as big as you, Lichenseed, and it stood as tall as five cats!! I barely got out of there with my life! It saw me and tried to catch me but I was too fast and agile for it. I escaped over the stream and I guess it wasn't worth it to follow me back over,"

Sunnycloud nodded. "Was it fully black, with red eyes that shine even in the darkest part of the forest? I've seen it before too. The whole forest falls silent when it approaches. Even the birds and mice are afraid of catching it's wrath. You really must be careful, our kits need their father,"

The two kittens nodded nervously. "Does it know where the camp is? Is it going to come eat us??" asked Dawnseed, beginning to quake with fear.

"No, it didn't look smart enough to follow me, you two will be safe. Just don't sneak out of camp at night again, okay? You aren't fast enough yet to outrun it like I did,"

Sunnycloud shot him a sharp look. "Don't scare them too badly, Tigerwhisker. They're only 3 moons," She looked back at the kits. "Your father is right though, I don't want to have to go looking for you when I wake up again. I could never let anything happen to you, especially not something as terrifying as that monster we saw! A beast that size could eat little kittens like you in one bite!"
The two kittens nodded at their parents. "I'm sorry we went exploring last night. I guess we'll be more careful. I didn't know beasts like that were real..."

As the kittens fell back asleep, Tigerwhisker and Sunnycloud let themselves relax and giggle.

"They bought it! You did a great job running into camp so convincingly,"

"And you added such great details! Hopefully it'll convince them to stay in camp until they're apprenticed,"
