He walked over to the edge of the water.

It was the time of starlight; the moments where the stars were the brightest.
Badgermoon felt quite small, surrounded by the blanket of stars; comforting like so, a treasure he'd had since kithood. He'd never been terribly boisterous, always one to look at the smaller things in life.

He stepped forward.

The water met his paw; cold, at first, and he flinched. He could never get quite used to the shock of chilly water, even if this had been his treasure... alas.
The water reflected the sky like a mirror; they seemed like a gateway to the expanses above, an almost perfect replica.

The stars beckoned.

He braved the water; slowly moving forward, as to not disturb the peace.
Water was his home; water was his treasure.

He lay among the stars.

Prompt:

Thistlethorn huffed, his body and mind exhausted from fending off foxes earlier that day. He quietly padded through the Ever Autumn Forest, searching for the place he calls home. Heading north, he eventually reached the base of the mountains. He wasn't far now. Thistlethorn used every bit of strength he had left to climb up the jagged edges of the mountains. Each leap led him closer and closer to his destination. Several minutes passed until, eventually, he had reached his home.

Sitting on top of one of the mountains, he looked down towards the Ever Autumn forest. The setting sun gave the fiery colors of the forest a calmer look, saturating the area with warm pinks and blues. The crisp air flew towards him. He inhaled deeply, appreciating the cool breeze that was flowing through his fur. This spot was beautiful. This spot was peaceful. This spot was home.

Prompt: Ospreystone stalked through camp with a vengeance. Scalestripe had, once again, gotten on him for avoiding patrol duty. His long claws left divots in the ground where the dug, and every cat in his path moved out of his way in a hurry. They had seen him angry before, and if he didn't reach the beach quick, he would blow up on the first apprentice he saw.

Darting.... even leaping down the steep ledges towards the crashing waves. He wasted no time as he plunged into the ocean spray. He took to the water like a fish, diving beneath the crashing waves and away from the cliffs. It was only a short swim to a place only few places he could escape to.

When the waves finally calmed, and the there was nothing ahead of him but endless sea. That is when his paws touched something solid. The lonely sandbar, where only his paws reached, was isolated nearly a thirty yards out. The beach was far in the distance, but he stood tall, only his paws submerged in the water. Here he could catch his breath. There was no doubt about it, the fire in him died as quickly as it had appeared. The quiet rush of the smaller waves and the sand dollars scattered across the sandbar, even small fish skittering around his feet. The isolation was kind.

Hollowpaw stalks off to Eagle's Rest whenever she needs to cool off. It's forbidden for apprentices to go there but she finds peace there since no one goes there. She found a nice little hiding spot amongst the roots of the dead tree to hide under to not be bothered by cats and eagles alike. She wedges herself in like a grumpy badger, tucking her tail in for safety measures. She stays there and seethes until her anger has cooled or her mind is clear. It's only then will she go back to camp.

Kestralstripe will leave the clan and go sit in the blossoming flowers of the strawberry plants that grow towards the southern part of the territory. The tabby will go and lay in the sunlight, making sure not to harm the flowers. She comes here to remind herself of the delicate balance of life and how the prey they hunt, relies on these plant to survive. They also have a very tart, yet sweet smell to them which she greatly enjoys and makes her think of happier times when her mother and sister would come here with her.

Shimmerpool loves to go to lookout ledge when she is feeling stressed or sad.
Lookout ledge is a small ledge just above the leader's den, above the whole territory. Being able to see the trees, the lake or even just the clan being busy with their usual work below gives her peace. Just by herself, overlooking the territory in the cool breeze will always be the best feeling to her that can't be beaten, no matter what anyone else says to her. A small space to just be herself for a while. To be free and do whatever she pleases without fear of consequence or judgement from prying eyes. Technically she isn't allowed on lookout ledge, as it is on wolfstar's den. But wolfstar sees that it does make shimmerpool happy so she allows it. She has even been so kind as to offer that she will keep anyone away, as she realises that shimmerpool goes there to get away from everything and relax. (164 words)
