Welcome to the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project
Euphorian Thoroughbreds are a rare string of the Thoroughbred breed. They come from a single farm simply called “Euphoria” that has horses with mutated genes. These allow them to be able to possess any realistic coat or markings. Everything else about the sub-type is the same. Long, strong legs, a powerful hind, and great speed. Their eyes are soft and the breed is incredibly smart, if not a bit goofy. They love kids and have the rare ability to excel in any discipline. They can grow from 15hh-18hh, though usually somewhere in the middle.
The horses readopted through the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project are looking for a new loving home and a new job. They’ve tried racing and have either retired or decided the sport wasn’t for them. Either way, they are ready for the next chapter in their life. Some of these horses will come with a little training already, and will have their new discipline already determined. Although others you’ll get to pick how they move forwards!

This lad has mastered the art of untying any knot. Even if it is one that has been proven to hold fast when used to tie any other horse, Dewey will find a way to successfully free himself. He is good at this due to his attentiveness and intelligence, watching when the knots are tied so he can work on trying to figure out how to undo them with the best chance of success. He can usually figure out new ones after only a few tries (and a lot of slobber). He may appear lazy and absentminded, but rest assured that he's always plotting ways to escape. When he does, he doesn't actually run away, though; he mostly just unties himself to put on a show and invoke frustration in his handlers.

Cricket will do this thing when you’re riding him whenever you stopped for a break. It was sort of like he gets bored or resented having to stop whatever we were doing when he was so focused. He will just start flapping his lips very loudly and make these weird sucking sounds, never once coming up off the contact or acting up in any way. His lips were like an elephant trunk, they would get super long and became almost opposable.

It drives everybody crazy. Everyone was convinced there had to be a reason for it and just couldn't accept a horse would make those noises/gestures for no reason.

Sova's special talent is perfectly suited to his name! His talent is... well, sleeping! He falls asleep when being groomed, when in the cross-ties being tacked up, when he gets a second to himself, he decides to doze off. It's very rare for anyone to see the true colour of his eyes, as they're normally half-closed, ready for those forty winks whenever he can snatch them. Waiting to get into the ring, tied at the fence, waiting to move on, standing in the trailer, it's rare for the stallion to be still and not asleep. Sometimes, the trainers swear that his eyes flutter closed when he's walking around in the arena...

Competition: Sangriao has many... Odd quirks, because he has such a personality! He never fails to make others laugh. His favorite quirk is to knock things over or pick up his sawdust and toss it around! He loves to pick up hoses and spray people as well when he's in the wash stall, he finds it hilarious. Most people do as well, except they then realise they're dripping and soggy.. oh well! He also has recently learned to smile for treats!

Competition: Hudson is one of those horses that hates his shoes, he holds the barn record for lost horseshoes at 5 minutes (approx)! The moment the ferrier leaves the barn, he is dead set on getting those darn shoes off for good! It has gotten to the point where his owner just doesn’t bother with shoes until just before a large-scale horse show. His feet are a bit damaged due do the loss of shoes, but he doesn’t mind much at all as long as the metal isn’t stuck to HIS hooves!

Competition:He's a pretty boy, and he knows it. Aside from his affinity for shiny things, he loves cameras.more so, he loves to have his photo taken. It started with his first owner taking selfies as a foal, heheew to love the attention and snacks, and he even seems to pose at times. He's a character ,for sure, very expressive in his features . He doesn't so much care for seeing it after, he just love s photo ops and will hurry to any that he spots.

Shining shook his head as Francesca got his halter on, watching as he was hooked to the cross-ties. He planned his escape. She turned away to get his saddle and Shining pulled back, halter flipping his ears forward as he moved, the piece slipping off easily before he turned and made for the indoor arena. Tag time.

He hopped over the low gate and approached the young riders, the other horses speeding up in their usual monkey see monkey do manner, trying to keep up with the playful stallion as he cantered; being chased by both an angry Francesca and the other horses. A few kids had managed to get off their excited horses but others held on with all they could; turning their horses away from the loose stallion and bringing them to the ties, dismounting and connecting their horses to the leads before trying to help Frannie catch her horse; she was flushed bright red as she put her hands on her hips, taking a moment to breathe as she watched the chaos around her. Finally someone had caught Shining using the over-used treat and trap method, holding him still with a lead around his neck. Shining looked very impressed with himself after his game of tag, tail flicking excitedly. Now, he was it, and the chaos started again.

He did this often, always playful in any situation, but it wasn't always tag. Sometimes he'd pick up buckets and toss them around, balls and ropes could often be found in his pasture that he'd carried and kicked around; he chased after birds and dogs, wanting to play with everything. Shining was caught once with a broom, trotting with his legs and tail high as he flicked around the stick; kicking at it every now and then before he'd turn around and start again.
Francesca often struggled to keep his attention during rides, the stallion fascinated by everything; mouth trying to catch sticks, leaves, a few times he'd try to lick a caterpillar that caught his attention, intrigued by its yellow and black fuzz. Those times always ended with him spitting it out and bucking from the taste. Shining was a funky little stallion, and Francesca loved him for it.

Just simply woke up happy and heading from stall to pasture to eat, prancing. Unloading and happy to be heading into the warmth of his stall after a long stay? He's prancing all the way there. There's times he's standing still and in a good mood, and he'll be doing high knees and he just can't help it.
