With six years of experience running his own haunted house, he’s racked up a number of tips and tricks for scaring his daredevil customers.

“The first of which is to pick a character and stick with it, always. Here’s a hint: until they’re sobbing hysterically, show no mercy. ;)

Second, never do the same theme twice. Monotony is a haunted house’s worst nightmare, a sure fire scare killer. Unfortunately if you can predict it, odds are you won’t be nearly as scared as you could’ve been, so switch things up and never let them know what hit them!

Third, nothing is too much. If you’ve got the means so, then do it; and if you don’t, do it anyway. If money’s no issue, then splurge on all the expenses, and if it’s the one thing holding you back then keep in mind home-made is as good as store bought! After all, who cares whether the blood is fresh or dyed, no one will notice while running for their lives~

What do they do to prepare for halloween?:

He starts his preparations in mid September. If he starts any later, he ends up scrambling around in a rush to get everything done.

The very first thing he does is make a countdown, so he doesn't lose track of days and can organize himself; of course, chaos is in his blood so it's not as effective as he likes to believe it is. It does help him hype himself, though. He also goes and looks for anything that can be used as spooky decorations, and if he has the energy, he'll make some decorations of his own.

After that, he begins his brainstorm and sketches potential costumes. This is the most lengthy process- so many ideas running around his head, how could he possibly settle on one? Once he's found his perfect costume, he puts it together and makes sure it's as perfect as he can get it. While he's doing this, he marathons classic Halloween movies and blasts spooky music.

(not that he doesn't do that year round.)

What do they do to prepare for halloween?:
Cayden has a penchant for mischief and Halloween is the best time to make use of it. Short of making a whole haunted house, Cayden decorates his yard with motion activated zombie gravestones and spiderwebs galore. He's got all the fancy toys, from the skittering spiders to fog machines.
But his one prized trick are the speakers carefully hidden among his bushes and under rocks. He's got a fantastic sound board with every spooky movie sound known to kalon. As the night gets darker and the kids start to venture out into the streets, Cayden curls up in his recliner and goes to town. The naughty little kits from up the road get screams and creepy giggles, the babies brand new to trick or treating get fun Halloween songs, and if you're really special, Cayden will narrate your journey through his yard and punctuate with with some well timed remote controlled effects.
Cayden loves making Halloween come alive for everyone and seeing their reactions. It's Cayden's favorite pastime and no matter what trick he chooses to give you, it's guaranteed you'll come away with a smile and some fantastic candy.

She does absolutely everything she can! Decorations outside, decorations inside, candy for the locals (not just the kids, but their parents, too), and of course her costume. Of course, finding things to fit her wings can be tough. Regardless, Bonn does her best to be as festive as possible.

What do they do to prepare for halloween?:

Every year more and more kits are diagnosed with food allergies, most of which are commonly found in normal candies and treats. In order to combat this growing issue, Val sets out a teal pumpkin a couple weeks before Halloween. This wonderful pumpkin symbol tells parents that Val has allergen-free treats readily available for their affected children. Having spent hours researching and though it wasn't cheap, he couldn't help but be excited.

"Here you go! Enjoy your evening!" Val whispered excitedly, a smile spreading from ear to ear. The vampire-clothed kit giggled with joy as he ran down the driveway, waving about his bag of goodies.

"Thank you for doing this. This is the first year he's gotten to be this excited." The kit's mother spoke, tears in her eyes.

Valentino's heart leapt at hearing this. To know that all the time and money he spent was ever so worth it... Right then and there, he vowed he would make this a tradition, year after year. He would spread information about the Teal Pumpkin Project, so that others could try to join in. Holidays are about giving; so why not go the extra mile if you can?
